There are some excellent Oral Surgeons in Flower Mound. If cost is a factor, I suggest you shop around.

Every part of my experience with DFW Oral Surgeons and Dr. S. was outstanding. I was an extremely fearful patient and they calmed me down and removed all four of my wisdom teeth. I wish I could give 10 stars. I am very impressed with Dr. Shillingburg and his staff. They came highly recommended by a lot of people. I had my consultation and surgery scheduled pretty quickly and I had the best experience here. The staff was so understanding and very helpful when it came to questions and concerns but they answered everything I asked. One thing they did was give us written instructions on what I needed to do before and after the surgery, I even got a call personally from the doctor a few hours after just to check on me, I mean who does that anymore. I definitely recommend going to DFW oral surgeons for all your dental work needs.

Dr. Shillingburg is a top notch doctor and a first class individual. He cares about his patients, not only for the work he is performing on your mouth, but for anything he can do to help the quality of your life. I was sent to him by my regular dentist after a weekend of pain with a tooth that needed pulled. He insisted I have some cardio tests done first, (due to some heart issues I was born with), and because of him they discovered my artery was over 95% blocked and put a stent in that literally saved my life. He then did two implants for me that are beautiful. Neither have had any complications. During all of this he discovered a cyst/tumor in my jaw that had to be removed. I had seen many dentists prior to this, none of which had caught this problem in X-rays until him. He removed it, needing to be quite aggressive with taking bone around it, and once again there were no complications. He is an incredibly competent and thorough oral surgeon and a loving, caring, beautiful human being. I recommend Dr. Shillingburg with the highest of regards and confidence for anyone requiring his services.

Very unprofessional. First they couldnt schedule a consultation and an extraction on same day even when I tried to explain I was referred by an Endodontist, but understandable. I get it. I waited for my first consultation appointment even when I was having severe discomfort. When I finally arrived I had to wait for 1 hour sitting idle in their waiting room, all they could tell me was the x-ray was not working. Then why would you give me a reminder call ? You could have asked me to come the next day instead. Also, I had x-rays from my Endodontist and also my Dentist: you could just get them from there. Why would you make someone wait where you could just see me without an x-ray. I had to drive half hour and wait for 1 hour and leave without a consultation. Such a disgrace to the profession.

I had a tooth infection that quickly went bad. The doctor in the ER recommended him to me and filled Dr. Shillingberg on what was going on. On a Saturday morning, he contacted me and had me meet him and another associate in his office to access the situation. His office was closed and he had no obligation to do so, but the fact that he did goes to show that he genuinely cares about his clients. At that point he determined I needed to be admitted into the hospital since I had extensive swelling and was unable to open my jaw. He fit me on for surgery on Monday and fixed the problem. He and his staff are seriously the kindest people. They took great care of me and treated me like family and not like a random customer. I would definitely refer anyone to him.

Dr. Shillingburg and his staff are truly wonderful (and so are their patients!). My son needed unexpected surgery while home from boarding school. Not only did they squeeze us in at the last minute, Marlene was able to move mountains and switch our times with another patient to allow for scheduled senior pics. They really went the extra mile. Oh, and the surgery went just as smoothly as when he did my daughter’s. In today’s medical model, it is hard to find this experience. Five stars isn’t enough!

If you know me, you know Im not one to post reviews, however, DFW Oral Surgeons and Dr. Schillingburg are just phenominal! My son had his wisdom teeth extracted with little swelling/discomfort, was checked on hours after the procedure, sent home with a jaw strap and ice packs, which helped tremendously. Thank you yall so much for an outstanding experience! Dr. Schillingburg is gentle and an amazing surgeon.

All of our children had their wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Shillingburg. I have never had a problem with scheduling, personnel, billing or the doctor. I always recommend their office!

The care I received at this office far surpassed my expectation. They were not only able to get me in the same day during my major dental emergency, but they stayed late to preform the surgery I needed. They also numbed me up for the day until I could come back for the surgery. They took such good care of me while I was in the midst of the worst pain of my life. They could have taken advantage of me financially too Im sure with the amount of pain I was in, however I feel their prices were fair. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of an honest, reliable, caring oral surgeon!

Very knowledgable and professional staff, I got my wisdom teeth removed and was in and out in 30 minutes! They were on call the whole time i was in recovery and got me directly connected to the doctor when I had issues. I would also recommend them because they are very charitable and give back to local non-profits!

I was terrified to get my wisdom teeth out. I kept delaying the appointment for years. They finally caught up to me and I started having pain where they were. I couldnt avoid the extraction anymore. I came in to the office and made the appointment. The staff are so nice and caring. And the doctor is amazing. He understood my fears. The entire process too less than 30 minutes and I was sedated. They also have nice warm soft blankets that I did not want to give back after I came back to the world. Turned out it wasnt so bad after all.
