Dr. Niver is awesome! I recently had several of my fingers develop trigger finger. He explained the options, tried non-surgical remedies and eventually performed trigger release procedures on 5 fingers (in 3 total surgical procedures). His bedside manner is great, he keeps things light while explaining everything he is doing. I have completely recovered and would recommend Dr. Niver to anyone. One of my favorite doctors I have ever met. A true professional.

Dr. Niver was extremely professional. During my appointment he was informative, direct and I left with a solid plan moving forward. I came away feeling like I was heard and understood and knew exactly what the next steps would be. Everyone I dealt with at this office was kind and very efficient. I was very impressed with my first visit to this practice.

I am a certified hand therapist and have treated several of Dr. Nivers patients. I believe he is a very talented hand surgeon who knows how to get excellent results. In my experience, all of his post operative patients regain excellent range of motion, strength and full functional use of their hands. In addition, he is adept at diagnosing a myriad of hand / upper extremity problems and laying out both conservative and invasive treatment options. He reviews these options thoroughly with each patient and helps them to feel confident with their decision. I strongly recommend Dr. Niver for any hand or upper extremity condition, as you will receive the highest level of care in the industry.

Dr. Niver is a wonderful doctor. Friendly and engaging. He took the time to listen to me about the issues I was having with my elbow. He chose a non-surgical path, and it worked. I am 100% again. I am grateful to have him as my doctor.

A horrible doctor, didnt even have the patience to listen to my symptoms.Listening to patients is one of the most important ways to diagnosis.I am pretty sure I have either carpal tunnel or cubital tunnel syndrome.he had me take an X-ray of my arm before I even saw him! X-ray wont reveal any problems with nerves or tendon! I can only say he is arrogant and greedy!

My experience with Dr. Niver was fantastic from my initial consultation thru my final visit. He was clear on my surgical process, the therapy I’d need, and the healing process. He answered all of my questions and always met with me personally and was reassuring throughout the process. I’d also like to mention Dr. Lynch who was with me throughout the process as well.I’m happy to say that I’m fully recovered and would recommend Dr. Niver without reservation. For anyone looking for an Orthopedist, look no further.

Dr. Niver and his PA, Meagan Lynch, are a dynamic team. Dr. Niver came highly recommended. He performed my carpal tunnel surgery on each hand, two weeks apart (plus a trigger finger on each hand). I could not wrap my head around it.... I kept wondering how could I have two surgeries that close together? I trusted him and Im so glad I did. It work out fine, great, in fact. Any question/concern I had was quickly answered through the patient portal (that was how I chose to reach out to them). I recommend Dr. Niver and Meagan without any hesitation.

I saw Dr. Niver and his physician assistant Meag for both thumbs that have been troubling me for over 4 years now. I had already been to well-known institutions like Northwestern and Rush in Chicago. But when I saw Dr. Niver, my thoughts of hopelessness disappeared. His knowledge and expertise, combined with his passion for helping me made me feel like I had some hope. My thumbs were so terrible, I could not carry anything without my thumbs giving out. I had no strength at all. I love to exercise and couldnt hold my grip on a 1 pound weight. He spent time with me, wanted to get to know me as a person, and showed deep concern for my daily activities that I had not been able to do in years. Thankfully, he said surgery was not necessary and we healed my thumbs with a brace, and physical therapy. I am grateful for his care, and truly believe he is the best hand surgeon. I highly recommend him and his team, and I believe wholeheartedly that all his patients in are the best of care.

I am very happy that I found Dr. Niver and PA Meagan Lynch for a second opinion on my Carpal tunnel syndrome. They are truly Medical Professionals who get to know their patients, and empathize with them, providing me with a comfortable feeling from the very beginning. They performed the Carpal Tunnel surgery on both of my hands successfully (right then left), and I was using my hands the same day with the strength improving each day. Thank you!

I cant say enough about Dr. Niver and his PA, Meagan Lynch. Both were very attentive and I could not have asked for more out of an unfortunate injury.I went to Dr. Niver with pain in my left thumb after an accident. He assessed it as a bennet fracture and ended up recommending surgery after a few visits and seeing the break was not healing.Being my first surgery I was nervous but upon arriving at Summit Medical Group, I was taken care of very well. I was visited by Dr. Niver as soon as I was given a bed and he assured me that everything would be fine. I felt very confident in my decision. Dr. Niver and Meagan did an excellent job on the surgery and throughout my follow up appointments. After rehab and recovery my hand is back to 100% and Im glad I picked Dr. Niver.

After Dr. Niever operated on both my hands for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Trigger Fingers my symptoms of tingling, numbing and pain have disappeared. It is so nice to be able to play the piano without pain and tingling sensations. It took me 2 years to decide to have the operations on both my hands. It was one of the best 2 decisions of my life. Dr. Niever is a great hand surgeon and also a terrific , caring individual. If you need hand surgery look no further than Dr. Niever. You will never regret it.

This is not the doctor to go to for a second opinion He is only interested in caring for his primary patients. I went here for a second opinion for a surgery, on my elbow. He spent time explaining options as well as made it a point to look up OTHER DOCTORS by me that can help me. He said I should get an MRI and didnt offer to help set up the MRI and had ZERO interest in following up with me. Niver also mentioned my current doctor repeatedly, I dont know if he knows the doctor and was intimidated by Dr. Gross experience or I was not happy that he was the second opinion doctor. Either way there is a clear bias and unwillingness to help a new patient who is an obvious excruciating pain for almost a year now.

Hands down the most personable and humble doctor I’ve ever been a patient of. Usually I have found most of my surgeons to be arrogant and dismissive, Dr. Niver was exactly the opposite of this. Took the time to listen to my problems and addressed each one individually- and they’re all fixed I may add. Highly recommend.

Working became extremely difficult without the movement of two of my fingers. Meanwhile, activity is a key part of my life - Paddle, Golf, RV, Boats and paddle boards. With both my hands having trigger finger and being locked up I was unable to live my life normally. Dr. Nivers and Megan helped get my hands back on track, through two surgeries. I want to give a shout out to Carol and CareBear (Clare) who talked to me and kept me calm during surgery, and are super nice and patient. I now have full use of both hands and back to playing all sports and work is extremely easier now. Anyone who has this issue, should contact Dr. Nivers office immediately and get back to what you do best everyday. They are awesome!!!!! Anthony D’Amore

Dr Niver did not show me my injury on the the X-ray. He offered me over the counter medication for a broken wrist when I explained that I had a bad reaction to taking percocet. He asked me where I grew up, I am well over 50 years old, what is the relevance of that question other than racial profiling. And finally, he described needing to perform carpal tunnel surgery when I have never suffered from carpal tunnel. I would not recommend him to anyone!

I’ve suffered from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome for many years. I had my right hand done by a “specialist” at the Hospital for Special Surgery 5 years ago. Swelling and pain like you can’t imagine and it’s been a nightmare ever since. I just had my left hand done by Dr. Niver. No swelling or pain. I was making a fist on the 2nd day after surgery.
