Excellent Experience from Start to Finish! I was extremely pleased with my dealings with Dr. Eric Black and the entire office staff. I was seen right on time. Everyone was so efficient. The doctor was extremely personable, professional and understanding. He understood and diagnosed my Tennis Elbow and immediately gave me a cortisone injection (as I have been suffering from this for over two months with severe pain) and recommended physical therapy which I am going to do.In September (one month prior) I saw another Elbow Specialist (Dr. McBride of TriCounty Orthopedics - that I do NOT recommend. I told that Doctor I was having severe elbow pain. He did NOT take an Xray . He told me I was gripping things too tightly - to take 3 ADVIL as needed and the pain would go away in 3-6 months if I stopped gripping thing too firmly. My pain got WORSE and as a result of Dr. McBrides poor diagnosis - I suffered another 6 weeks of pain. Thank goodness I found Dr. Black who got to my diagnosis immediately and within 24 hours I have had relief of the pain due to a much needed cortisone injection and physical therapy order.

I had a torn rotator cuff and bicep. Dr. Storm came highly recommended and I am so happy I went to see him. He was nice, professional and I felt very comfortable deciding to have surgery. I can not believe I waited so long. I am now 9 months out of surgery and have no pain. I highly recommend Dr. Black!

Dr. Black is the best thing that ever happened to my mother after she destroyed her shoulder during a fall. He was thoughtful and knowledgeable regarding her condition. He too care of her from the moment he first saw her to the point of performing her surgery and all the follow up a year later. We was truly a God sent.

I am an active athlete, saw Dr Black and he diagnosed me with a labrum tear in my left shoulder and suggested that i need surgery to fix. I had a labrum tear to my right shoulder in the past and the pain did not feel similar. Taking this into consideration I went to another ortho dr and i was diagnosed with a different condition. This Dr did not want to perform surgery, I was consistent and dedicated to the diagnosed PT protocol. With on going effort to manage pain, I have experienced significant improvement. Lesson learned - get second opinion and surgery is not always the answer. Nice guy but personally did not agree with his logic and quick to push into surgery

Refuses to treat car accident injuries.Refuses to take blue cross blue shield even though summit medical does accept it.So much for treat the patient and do no harm. Sad and shocking.Was referred to Black by my dr. - does not seem to matter.Oh well.

Overall a great and friendly environment. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The X-ray tech made me feel extra comfortable and at ease. And finally, Dr. Black was the most amicable and professional doctor that I have ever encountered. The staff and the doctor were all super! loved my visit at Summit Medical Group in Florham Park. I recommend this place and Doctor to everyone. You wont regret it!

I saw Dr. Black for some pretty extensive shoulder damage I had from years of over use and injuries. His attention to detail and competent confidence gained my trust very quickly. The office and surgical suite areas are immaculate and the surgical team was top-notch. The post-operative pain was very tolerable and less than 3 months after surgery I have full range of motion, no pain, and nearing full strength. I highly recommend Dr. Black without question!!!

Dr. Black just did hip surgery on my 91 year old dad and two days later everything looks great. Dr. Black operated at 10pm after a full day of surgeries and he had another one at 7am the next day, so hes a very hard worker. His demeanor is upbeat, casual, and friendly. Highly recommend.

I recently found myself in Dr. Blacks office with extreme knee pain and barely able to walk. I actually went there in crutches and walked out without them. He was professional and comforting. He drained the fluid from my knee and reassured me that hell help get to the bottom of this pain. Which he did. I went to another doctor a couple of weeks prior whom did not drain the fluid, nor give me a cortisone shot. I am very pleased with my visit and fast results. I highly recommend Dr. Black and everyone in the Florham Park location.

Dr black fixed my arm. He did surgery on my elbow for me and I feel blessed I found him. He listened to me and we came up with the best solution together! Dr Black completed rotator cuff and bicep tenodesis on my left shoulder one week ago. What a great doctor he is. He not only explained to me pre-op what he was going to do, but he explained thoroughly post-op what he did in the surgery. He is a class act and extremely knowledgable about his job. Thank you Dr Black for taking care of my shoulder! By the way, I traveled from Florida to NJ to have this surgery completed because I heard Dr Black was the best shoulder repair guy on the East Coast. I feel great already and couldnt be any happier that I chose him to do my surgery.

I am very fortunate that my fractured with dislocation elbow was treated by Dr. Eric Black. He is a true primum non nocere Doctor. His conservative approach and recommendations for the type and duration of PT resulted in the complete recovery of my elbow without a loss of mobility. In six months I ve regained 98% of flexibility and 100% of extension of the elbow. Would recommend to any one full-hardheartedly.
