Yes there is often a wait to see Dr. Deshaw- but he is WORTH THE WAIT!! He spends time in the exam room with me, listens to me- answers any and all questions I have about my Lyme disease and is helping me try to become the person I once was. His staff are always friendly- I have never once had an issue with any of them. Johanna always goes above and beyond to help me! The infusion center staff is AMAZING (especially Susannah) and make a bad situation like having a PICC line better. They are a great team together. I have been seeing Dr. Deshaw for about 3 years now and I highly recommend him- if I could give him more than 5 stars I would.

Dr Deshaw saved my life from Lyme disease after suffering misdiagnosis many years . He also caught several other coinfection‘s that other doctors had missed He is continuously monitoring me over the years and keeping my health in check .The staff is the best and like family .. they treat you so well and really care .Dr seems to be attentive to every individual and he knows everything there is to know about Lyme / tick borne diseases at this point.

Office staff is beyond horrendous and unprofessional. We’ve been trying to get in for a year. Finally was able to make an appointment in September for January. The day before they called with a reminder and a different doctor we had never heard of. The office manager claimed us she told us it would be with other doctor in September, but she did not. We have documented emails of her ONLY discussing Deshaw with usShe continued to lie snd say she told us while simultaneously saying the other doctor we are scheduled with “doesn’t even do Lyme.” Then why would you allegedly set us up with them in the first place???? We’re in DESPERATE need of help and an ID expert opinion to pit against disability insurance’s ID doctor who told us a CDC positive test was a false positive and entirely disregarded a documented bullseye rash.Waited 3 months thinking Deshaw would be the beginning of ending that fight with insurance. Now we have lost 3 months we could have been working on this problem elsewhere. Furious doesn’t even begin to cut it. The office manager is an unprofessional moron. I’m absolutely disgusted with this place.I also left a message asking for the doctor- no response. These people can burn in hell. Do not go here.

Fantastic. Really. The doctors are smart, caring and innovative. They ask the right questions and actually listen to your answers. Dr DeShaw knows lyme. The office staff are great too. Ive read the reviews and was on the lookout for nasty office staff. Nope, in fact I found quite the opposite. This includes the nurses in the infusion center. They are personable and knowledgeable. Id give this facility my highest recommendation and Im not an easy patient to please!

Dr. Deshaw saved my life. This is not hyperbole, I mean it literally. He is a doctor (LLD) who listens to his patients, then goes into detective mode to discover the root of the problem. What 20+ other area doctors (including that a**hole in Flemington) missed, he found. Lately, I have not had to wait very long, which is the most common complaint in the negative reviews.

Dr. Deshaw is an excellent, Lyme literate, doctor who truly takes the time to listen and understand how you are feeling. I appreciate his approach to use medications as well as supplements to help build your body back up. As far as the negative reviews go, due to my work schedule and traveling over an hour to see him, I can never get there before the 4:45pm appointment. I often have a longer wait in the waiting room and then in the exam room. I can understand how frustrating it can be, but once I was in the office I decided he was so good I’d wait hours to see him if necessary. If you aren’t suffering from something major maybe you have the luxury of finding another doctor, but as anyone with late stage chronic Lyme disease will tell you, it’s nearly impossible to find someone who will help you regain your health back who also takes insurance. On a side note, his office staff has never been anything less than curtious, professional, and helpful to me.

The wait is unbearable. They dont care if you have an emergency situation they will not take you in unless you have an appointment, there attitude is go to the hospital. Can you imagine your doctors office refusing one of there patients because they didnt have a scheduled appointment. Nasty staff, the mother daughter team are rude, uncaring, and so unfriendly. There are so many other wound care doctors that are excellent, why put up with this.

Dr Deshaw is great. The wait is ridiculous. After going there a few times, getting there on time and waiting 1 1/2 hours, I arrived 25 minutes past my appointment. The receptionist commented on how late I was. I said No- Im an hour and 5 minutes early. You cant win.

Love Dr Deshaw, but his office staff is incredibly unprofessional and not personal at all. I’ve had multiple experience waiting over an hour and a half for the doctor, and the staff has absolutely no compassion when I’m left to cancel plans I had scheduled afterwards. I’m currently sitting in the waiting room (20 minutes passed my appointment that I specifically told them I had to be in and out due to my work schedule) and still nothing. I just walked up to the desk and I was told “wellYou’re next so it shouldn’t be too bad”. YOURE KIDDING ME. He’s an awesome doctor but not worth me waiting and being late to work numerous times for.

I had an appointment for 4:45 and showed up on time. I sat in the waiting room for one hour and was then brought to a room to see the doctor. I waited another half hour bringing to total to one and a half hours, it was now 6:15 and still did not see the doctor. I decided to leave then and went out to the reception room and stated that Id waited 1 1/2 hours and was leaving. The staff smiled and nodded their heads and that was it. I think that if there is an issue creating an unusual wait (Id say and hour and a half is unusual), someone on the staff should be aware enough to let the patient know there is a delay. I dont know who is at fault, Ive seen Dr. Deshaw before and never had an issue but this is not acceptable. If youre going to see Dr. Deshaw be sure to bring a book.
