They go above and beyond to help you succeed! The only trick is to make that first step and ask for help. I am a nursing major and am loving every bit so far! 10/10 recommended when choosing a school, especially for nursing. Thank you! Karen in career services was AMAZING enough to help me find a job opportunity that is flexible and realistic for my school schedule. Thanks again!

Hello, my name is Sierra Clark and I graduated with my AAS in Criminal justice. Karen Sheldon in the career services department has helped me tremendously with finding the perfect career for me. She was able to help me with my resume, personally references and find employment. Not just a job but a career, a place I can grow and continue to build skills I can use in various fields. I appreciate her so much!

I have recently graduated from Beckfield with my RN. I give this school 5 stars because my overall experience has been nothing but amazing. The professors are very flexible and willing to help anyone in any way possible.

Giving two stars only because there are some redeeming qualities. For the most part, this community college isn’t focused on producing quality nurses. They quote a 98% NCLEX success rate which is true, 98% of the mere 14% that actually manage to graduate will pass their NCLEX.The campus is obviously driven by collecting $$ from students to put into administrative staff and not much else. The parking lot is riddled with potholes, the classrooms are dirty and outdated, the computers offered in the labs are old and nearly obsolete. There’s not much organization and not much care for students. Deans can be flippant, rude and downright cruel. Not much help is offered from supporting staff, large issues involving descrimination and isolation brought to the attention of administration are chalked up to “a bad day”. Asking questions or relaying concerns are met with threats to be kicked out of the program.Redeeming qualities are that most instructors enjoy teaching and truly motivate their students. Most classes are hard to fail because instructors offer tutoring, labs, and frequent communication. Registrar is very willing to help with scheduling, and financial aide is willing to create do-able payment plans when needed. Corporate is very helpful when it comes to concerns and complaints, though they do not follow up with you after you submit a complaint. If administrators on campus cared more about the success of their students, the campus would produce more successful graduates and less would drop out. I am too far in the program to transfer to another location without losing 6+ quarters of credits, or I would have found another college. It is easy to feel like just a number or an open wallet, as most of administration is not interested in who students are as individuals.

Was an extremely challenging school, which they will tell you up front. Beckfield was difficult for me, but the amount of material they cover, and the preparation they gave me were invaluable. I took the NCLEX and passed in 75 questions, and I attribute that largely to the amount of knowledge and preparation that was provided. I would recommend Beckfield to anyone willing to put in the hard work (it will be hard) required to become a nurse. Also I considered not even acknowledging the post about racism, but I, and a few other students that graduated with me, am black, and we experienced no prejudice in any way. That claim is COMPLETELY unfounded.

DO NOT ALLOW YOUR AFRICAN AMERICAN FAMILY MEMBER TO ATTEND THIS COLLEGE! THEY WILL EXPERIENCE RACISM, DISHONESTY, PREJUDICENESS AND GENERAL MISTREATMENT, ALL OF THIS COMING FORM THE PRESIDENT OF THE COLLEGE ON DOWN TO A LOT OF THE NURSING STAFF. THEY ALLOW PLAGIARISM TO OCCUR WHILE THEY TURN THE OTHER CHEEK. THEY ALLOW CERTAIN STUDENTS PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT OVER OTHERS. WE HAD A MEETING WITH THE ADMIN, AND THEY ABSOLUTELY LIED ABOUT EVERYTHING IN THE MEETING. THEY ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED BUT THEY DO NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED

Harder than it should be.I started in the ASN program. Within 3 weeks of the first quarter, over half of the class had dropped out already. I can see a few here and there, but seriously, if half of the class drops what’s that tell you? It’s to hard. Most of the curriculum is unnecessary. The required classes have nothing to do with nursing. It’s seriously almost like they have got a nursing program and PhD program confused! I have since transferred to NKU and while the program isn’t very easy, it’s much more doable than Beckfield’s nursing program. Beckfield expects you to give up your job, home life and family. Not to mention, they don’t have the accreditation that most hospitals require to work at. Their tuition is almost 20 grand more than other nursing programs in the NKY/Greater Cincinnati region! Their credits don’t transfer either. Also, they tell you on this fancy brochure in the beginning that their pass rate is 98%.. don’t let it fool you. It’s the pass rate for the NCLEX. Which of course, if you are one of the few who actually graduates the program then of course you’ll pass the NCLEX. The graduation rate is 18%. They have taken a 3-4 year degree and crammed it into 2 years. It’s WAY to much to learn. No one can possibly be a good nurse by learning the crammed info in 2 years. It’s a shame what a scam this school is.. at least the nursing program.

Do not choose Beckfield college for your nursing education. They are a nonaccredited program no matter what they say. While applying to Mercy West hospital I was denied as a candidate for an RN position due to the fact that I held a degree from Beckfields nonaccredited ASN program.
