The staff at the Counseling Center of Florence is so friendly, helpful, patient, kind, super generous, loving, caring and definitely show you how much they truly appreciate YOU. I started going there because my son needed counseling. My son had anger issues and no interest in school whatsoever and his grades were not good. The counselor that my son saw was Mr. Erick W. Lownsberry. Mr. Erick was Amazing. My sons grades and behavior has changed drastically. I am forever grateful for Mr. Erick and the staff at The Counseling Center of Florence.Here is my sons review in his own words.....Mr. Erick, I want to personally Thank You for all of your contributions in the change of my behavior. Staff was top notch. Director not so much.Missed one kids appointment (as a new single dad im still learning) director canceled all future appointments for both kids. Put on file that she called and spoke to me. No call was ever made. Per other reviews on her they show that no fee for first missed appointment each additional is $40 and price increases. Now my kids have to find a new counselor and gain their trust with someone completely new.Mr. Washington you were amazing! You found ways to make sure both of my kids felt safe with you and connected quickly with you. Wish we could keep you as a counselor for them. Keep up the great work and thank you for helping me and my family. Sorry we missed our appointment. I wish you nothing but the best sir

The Counseling Center of Florence is a great place to make referrals to and they are very professional. C. Gerald is one of the newest members to the team, and she fits right in with the wonderful staff. C. Gerald listens and she is very patient with her clients and she will make you feel important. C. Gerald is very observant, warm and knowledgeable in her field and she will not give up on you. C. Gerald is serious about her clients and she is outstanding at having empathy for her clients. C. Gerald is significant at enhancing the client’s effectiveness and ability to cope, also she’s great at facilitating behavior change and improving the client’s ability to establish and maintain relationships. If I was to recommend a counseling center for anyone it would be The Counseling Center of Florence.

The counseling center of Florence has some of the best people working there.They are more like family than just counselors. I appreciate everything that they have done and continue to do even after services for my son. Mr.Erick stepped in when no one else would. Mrs. Marlena is amazing and wonderful at her job! She has the best personality! ❤️❤️

The Counseling Center of Florence is a professional establishment that works well with all of my clients that have been referred. C. Gerald is an awesome counselor. She is well diverse and knows how to reach her clients. Those I have referred have reported that she is professional, understands and makes clients feel at ease and welcome. This establishment is widely recommended and the first place on my list to send referrals for clients because I know they are in good hands and will have a positive influence on whom ever they come in contacr with.

Charged me $120 for a missed appointment. I called the day before (on a Sunday) to cancel. Still charged me. A completely excessive amount. There are plenty of other great counselors in the area. Ridiculous.

Set an appointment up on two separate occasions and filled out all of the necessary paperwork to meet Dr. Wilcox over a zoom conference just to have the office tell me they “forgot” to schedule my appointment. Asked if I wanted to reschedule for the third time on a different week yet again. It should not be this difficult to find help, much less set up and keep to a scheduled zoom conference..

My favorite counselor Mrs. Carisa M. Gerald is very loyal to her job and she is very dedicated to meeting the needs of her clients. Mrs. Gerald takes her work very seriously and she listens to her clients. When she assists the families she takes their problems and concerns and puts their needs above hers to get the best possible outcome for them. Mrs. Carisa doesnt just assists clients she sees them as people whom are very dear to her and their wellness is very dear to her. She is compassionate and caring. She will definently see to her clients being in the position to move forward and become whole.

Dr. Kahn and Laura Langley-Smith provide exceptional supervision for LPCAs. The Counseling Center of Florence is a wonderful place to work and serve those seeking quality therapy services.

Of all the offices Ive ever visited, this one takes the cake. Although Ive never seen a counselor, just visiting I can tell that these people care about what they do.

Dr. Kahn and the staff were all extremely friendly, nice people. They were very sympathetic, and I never felt judged. I do not put the counselors advice above Gods, but, nevertheless, he did offer solace in a very horrible period of time in our lives.

Dr. David Kahn and his staff have been an important resource for me both personally and professionally. As the owner of 2 Child Care centers here in Florence, I have called on him to help with training for families and staff, and we have referred our clients and staff to him for individual and family counseling. The level of expertise and the manner in which Dr. Kahn connects with his clients are both top notch, and I have never been disappointed with his ability to help. I have also called on The Counseling Center in times of crisis. When children or staff have needed immediate attention as the result of a life changing disaster or incident, Dr. Kahn has served as the best possible resource, and he has sometimes been my very first phone call. I appreciate his responsiveness as well as his effectiveness in helping people who need him.We in the Pee Dee are so fortunate to have such a talented, dedicated group ready to provide much needed counseling services.
