I wished I would have checked the reviews more carefully before choosing a practice and hospital to have our baby. There are some nice, informed nurses and midwives in the practice, whom I really liked, however the care you receive from them is not what you’d expect from midwifery. They are clearly overwhelmed and overworked. You are shuffled around among the them. I barely saw the midwife during labor. She did not inform me of the side effects of the pain killers they gave me (which made more miserable than I was) nor was she honest with me regarding the likeliness that we’re going to have a c-section after 26 hours, yet they continued to let the situation precede, until I told them we needed a resolve, which could have had an adverse ending if we hadn’t done that. I, also, had not seen nor heard from the midwives since immediately after my daughter was born, until my checkup weeks later. There are nice people in the practice, but the patient care is below average.

I absolutely love this place I’ve been going here since 2013 when I got pregnant with my twins. I am currently 39 weeks pregnant and was going to a different office cause it was closer to where I was living but switched back to st Elizabeth because I love it so much and love all the staff there!! So nice and professional!!

This place does not take having a baby serious. The staff is NOT up to par with the dealing with patients. They do not explain anything. They will give you the bare minimum of what actually needs to happen and leave you in the dark with what you need to know. I am not okay with this. Its my pregnancy and I would like them to take my pregnancy serious because having a baby is a miricle, its not something u push off. If you have test results they need to call you and explain what the results mean. They need to be more involved. But they are real quick to grab what they need. This place is an unbelievable mess. COVID19 should bring people together and help each other out, they did not get that memo.

Don’t go if your self pay. Find someone that won’t require you to pay everything up front and actually will do a payment plan with you.

I wish I could give this office 0 stars. I had the worst experience possible and it was during my miscarriage. I was told my symptoms were normal by the nurse on call and midwife. Instead of listening to them I went into the ER and was told I was more than likely miscarriaging due to my blood levels. The ER stated for me to call my obgyn office first thing in the morning for an appointment. I did so and was told that they had no doctors available, one was on leave and the other was on vacation so I would have to wait until 4 days later to see another doctor from a different office. Then they told me they would put in an order for more blood work. 48 hours later I went to the Edgewood hospital location for the hcg blood work and was told my doctor should call me with the results. Well, I never recieved a phone call so I called the office and they explained that yes I was miscarriaging and to do so naturally. No need to see a doctor... I asked to speak to one over the phone and they said they would have one call after my next blood test in a week. This meant that throughout my entire pregnancy which was 5 and a half weeks and through my miscarriage I was told I didnt need to see a doctor. I then waited for the final blood test and waited 5 days and still had not heard from the office nor my doctor. I was told after I called that the doctor left me a message on my chart... why would my doctor not call me with the results that I had in fact had a complete miscarriage and would not need any future evaluation?!? After phoning them again to ask to actually speak to a doctor I was called back after hours and was told by a completely different doctor that all of my concerns werent to be worried about and that I didnt need a form of follow up but if I felt the need to talk to make an appointment. Id be better off going to the ER where they actually seemed to care than wasting my time coming into the office to talk. He couldnt give me an appointment or tell me what they would be doing with me if I came in. I hope if you are looking for a new obgyn that you skip this place. They made an absolutely awful experience even more traumatic and the only thing they could say to me was and I quote, Im not trying to be offensive but this stuff happens.

Does not take patients pain seriously, and wont even look at a problem before dismissing it. Gave me a diagnosis a month or two ago and did not explain at all how I was supposed to handle it or what to expect. Very unhelpful.

Really, really loved my midwives, and the Edgewood nurses. But one of the nurses in Florence who answers is always rude, short, and acts like your stupid if you ask a question about anything. She acts like that at the office too. It just makes my whole experience nerve wracking. Otherwise, not bad.
