I was a new patient at Dr Dierdre Young office today. I was very impressed with every member of the staff very friendly, from calling to make appt very pleasant and nice young lady made appointment to check in, nurse. If I could give 10 stars I would for Dr Young! Dr came in was very nice took her time asked questions about me and my medical history I never felt like she was rushing trying to get in and get out to see another patient!! I highly recommend this Doctor to anyone that is looking for a Primary Care physician.

I’m a new patient of Dr.Young and she was very thorough during my visits. I’ve seen her twice so far and she made sure I had all my meds up to date with refills. They were sent over to my pharmacy and ready that day. She also made sure appointments were made that were needed yearly. Great personality and addressed all my medical needs.

***BEWARE*** Dr. D. T Young is NOT a doctor who cares about her patients and deserves negative (below zero) stars if she treats them the same way she has treated me. I had to see her due to my other McLeod PCP was not available. I paid her $200 just to refill my HBP medications, which I am on three of them. However, when I got to the pharmacy, it had not been called in yet, which could have caused me health problems due to it being after hours on a Friday. I then sent her a message and she was upset that I bothered her while she was off. When I continued going to another doctor, she personally called my pharmacy and withdrew my refills, which could cause me more health problems. At no time did she let me know that she did this so I could have my other PCP to re-call in my HBP medications. McLeod is a wonderful hospital, but doctors like Young is not only hurting their name but could also be hurting their patients. The vice president of McLeod has apologized to me for Youngs behavior and wishes that she had performed her job duties more professional. Very sad excuse of a (very expensive) public servant who swore to help and NEVER hurt others. Im sure even her medical school is a shame of such a poor/harmful PCP that they have produced. As a disclosure, this was my own personal opinion and experience. If you allow her a chance to treat you, I hope and pray you will have better luck and that her superiors will have a chance to properly train her.
