I love this dentist for my daughter they always do good being going there for 7 years and still going

Bright Start Dental office is always filled and you have to wait a while. Since they deal with a lot of minor kids, less than 12 years old, they need to reconsider how many kids they schedule at a time. Or with Covid-19 still ACTIVE, I strongly suggest Bright Start Dental have their patients check in and then those who are interested, wait in their cars and the office can text the parent when they are ready to be seen.One child was at the office and he sneezed 6 times without covering his mouth and their Mom never said anything. Practice begins at home.Bright Start Dental, please consider these changes.

They used to be quick and efficient but now you can expect to be there almost 3 hours—because they booked 4 of us for the EXACT same time— watching other guests who came in an hour after you get serviced before you child. Some of the front desk personnel is more concerned about personal conversation that they can’t check you in quickly, one of the dental assistants (that didn’t service my child) has an unprofessional demeanor, scratches her head while performing services and a another young assistant was slamming the sterile packets everywhere— these two ladies just seem quite uninterested. I was completely turned off today in consideration of everything!

Good job my daughter enjoyed herself just took too long of a wait my appointment was at 9:30 didnt get seen till almost 12🙄

The doctor and staff are friendly very welcoming. They treat my daughter (9) & son (3) very well. They always answer all of my questions and concerns. I would recommend this place to my family and friends.

Always treats my kids with care and shows them everything they will do before they do it so it lessons the fear. Sings them songs and just makes them comfortable when getting treatment provides blankets and teddy bears to hold for the nerves I love this place for my babies

My son loves Bright Star Dental! At first, he was afraid of the dentist office. The staff makes his experience fun and exciting! He said the staff are his friends!

My son fell and broke his tooth over the weekend. After calling multiple dentist,Bright Star Dental was able to see us right away. Every one was very nice and super sweet to my younger daughter who had to go with us. Scheduling an appointment was easy too. I was so glad he was able to be seen so fast. Even though we all have to wear mask now, he definitely needed his tooth fixed!

I loved it they made my baby feel so comfortable and they did a great job

This was my sons first visit to the dentist in South Carolina. They mad him feel safe and less scared. He cried, but no one made him feel bad about being scared.

This pediatric dentistry office is hands down the best not only in town, but the best Ive ever brought my children to. While they were kindly working on my daughter (with utmost gentleness and consideration) I watched them with other kids, aged 2 to 20. The staff let siblings watch each other being worked on and they got the most aggressive and afraid children to open their mouths. Its one huge, bright room where all the cleanings take place, and parents can sit beside their children the entire time. The dentist was great, she really took her time explaining things and answering my questions. It really is the best.

Unprofessional, not at all kid friendly, behind on scheduling, unsafe environment due to lack of precautionary measures being taken to minimize spread of viruses and Covid! The place was filled and no available seating, no social distancing. I will not be taking my children back.

I took my son to bright start for a cleaning. We waited for two hours! The dentist came in like a whirlwind all over the place. She looked at him for about two minutes then flew to the next child!!! I was very disappointed.

They sent us to a dentist in Columbia an hour and a half away and they downplayed my sons procedures. This has turned into a nightmare.

There was one tall girl in the back. At the time she was pregnant. This chick was not nice or patient at all with my 5 years old son. As long as we go there she will never service my chid! She had done upset my baby so he wouldn’t let know one service his mouth. Everyone else was so nice and patient.

Everyone there was very courteous and kind to my daughter and I. My daughter was very comfortable and at ease while getting her x-rays and exam, which is a plus. My daughters first dental appointment was so quick and easy! The staff were all friendly and the nurse that helped my daughter beforehand with her xrays was so engaging and was able to get my baby in and out quick. Daughter loved it so much, she wanted to go back after the park.

I would recommend Bright Start Dental. My kids have been coming here for years, the staff is very friendly and professional. They have wifi capabilities, and they play movies to entertain the kids while they wait. The dentist here is absolutely amazing. Ive never had a problem with her and my kids never complained or hated coming to see her. The only thing is the wait is sooo long, but this is a great place if you are in need of a childrens dental.

Ive been taking my daughter here for almost 3 years and love the place. Our only complaint has been the wait time, we got used to spending at least 2 hours and sometimes more. Today she had her 6 month cleaning and we were pleased to see they have taken care of the wait issue. We were in and out within 35 minutes. The staff is very friendly and the place is always clean. We highly recommend Dr. Katie!

This is my daughters second visit with Bright Start Dental and each visit was very a pleasant one. The dentists and the dental assistants where very nice to my daughter and my self. The dental assistance made sure my daughter was comfortable before the procedure even began. She explained the procedure in a way that kept my daughter calm but informed on what was going on. The staff was equally wonderful. Overall, the experience was great. The only advice I will give is to make sure to be prepared to wait a few hours. Maybe make sure to schedule the appointment ahead of time so that day could be taken off or have it a few hours earlier before work

My son was turned down to be seen because of a phone number on my insurance which turned out to be the correct number I have been using on all my kids paperwork for the last two years. The lazy desk clerk just didnt want to help me or look over paperwork. She shod be fired.

They fit my son in their schedule at the last minute and he was a new patient! The dental technician was very informative to what I should be doing at home with his teeth. The dentist got us referred to another dentist to better help my son! They are awesome! Very nice staff!

They have a new policy that doesnt allow parents to be in the room while they clean teeth. You can stand in a viewing room and watch through a window. The dentist wouldnt talk to me about my childrens exam. The office manager relayed the diagnosis and treatment plan. I will not go back and I dont recommend anyone else do either.

I had the best experience today in the florence sc office.. the clerks were cool an friendly. my 7 year old had to get a tooth pull which was pull by Dr White who was sooooooo dope and her assistant Tameka!! They treated my baby so Good!!! She made sure my baby was comfortable an didnt feel anything! That was the best experience i had since she has been going there!! Ive been taking my son to bright star dental for quite a while, and Dr. Lu Cao Dinh is amazing. He is such a nice and caring doctor and is absolutely great at his job! I absolutely recommend him to everyone. He wont disappoint you!

What is the point of making appointments? This is our second trip to Bright Start Dental and both times we had to wait at least an hour after our appointment time. Unfortunately, this seems to be a trend at every doctor or dentist office. Staff was pretty friendly.

Staff is nice and friendly but my childs appt was at 1030...We got here a little after 10am, they waited until 10:46 to call me up to sign paper work he was not called to the back until 11:20 also I feel like if youre paying with medicaid you are treated like a nobody...the hygienist cleaned his teeth too fast...she seemed as if she was rushing...also instead of her telling my son to close his mouth during the rinse she kept slightly hitting/swiping up his bottom lip. I dont know if she knew I was watching her in the viewing room nor could I hear anything but I wasnt pleased. And another hygienist kept standing in my way as I was Iooking. So I went to the hallway to look she got in my way again, it was just suspicious to me...They need the small smiles staff back..it was more professional back then. I dont think I will be returning.

The building had sanitize stations everywhere and everyone wore mask. When the receptionist sneezed she removed herself went and washed her hands and came back. They are really on their A game!!

This place is HORRIBLE!! My son appointment was at 2:00 on 3/14/18, we received a call from the office the day before on 3/13/18 asking if we could come at 1 instead because they would be short on doctors.. Cool! My son and I arrived at 12:47pm, it’s currently 2:07pm and we’re still waiting. Just close the whole office already😡

She did my teeth and it hurted like crazy she was clean my teeth soo hard my gum was about to bleed!!! But the x-ray was good and she was talking with her friends and left me in the x-ray room for 20 mins.

I will not be carring my kids back here. They are so slow. Since when does it take over 2 hours to clean a childs teeth. Also I dont like the fact you cant go in the back with your child and you dont get to speak to the dentist about your childs appointment.

The staff is very friendly, however, I do not like their new policy not letting the parents go with their children. Im walking to the back with my child and the staff turned me around. I asked one of the young ladies why and she told me bc of the HIPPA policy. I get that part, I just Im just not comfortable with my kid going alone. It makes me iffy about it bc you dont know if your child is getting proper treatment or something inappropriate is going on...ijs.
