Kent Brand was absolutely wonderful for our pre-teen son. Kent let him talk about the stressors in his life and gave him effective tools to work through situations. After only 2 sessions our son was much more himself and genuinely happy again. Highly recommend A Family Matter.

Kent is one of a kind, and I couldnt be happier choosing him for my mental-health partner as I heal from the aftermath of a difficult divorce and reset my self confidence. Absolutely the best, Mr. Kent listened and understood exactly what type of help we needed. We feel like we owe him alot. He saved us and our marriage. We walked in a 1 and after his help out marriage is strong and we feel like its a good solid 8 or 9.

Dr. Kent Brand has helped me experience growth and happiness that for me was unimaginable. In a christian and compassionate manner, he has helped me to identify the destructive behavior patterns that led to my subsequent bouts of depression and anxiety as well as the traumatic events and family history that contributed to PTSD. Most importantly, Dr. Brand has taught me how to change these destructive thought patterns and replace them with positive, healthy, self-affirming ones. In less than three months, Dr. Brand has positively influenced almost every aspect of my life.I am learning to identify and arrest destructive behaviors, replace negative thought patterns with positive self-talk and eliminate unhealthy behaviors and toxic people from my life. I am practicing self-love and becoming my “best self.” As a result, my marriage and family relationships have improved. I am finally learning what it means to be truly happy, healthy and whole — mind, body and spirit. I am learning to clearly identify my goals and attain them. I totally attribute my growth to working with Dr. Brand.

My parents took me to four different places with therapist before they brought me to Kent. I was in high school, at the time. And, he was the only one that I felt safe talking to about my past and problems. I am so glad that my parents found him. You can tell that he is the most sincere and genuine person. As a social worker and therapist myself, I will be the first to admit that I was too prideful to actually seek help for me. After an interpersonal crisis came to a head, I realized I had to find therapeutic help as soon as possible, and whether it was kismet or just this gentleman’s attentiveness, he was able to contact and schedule me that day. I have been working with him for about a year, and I am much healthier and happier for it; my regret is not going to see someone sooner, but I am so grateful I found him. Kent worked with our daughter during a very difficult time in her life. She made amazing progress. She now sees the value in herself that everyone else has always seen. Kent was available to work with us as a family as well to better help our daughter. He is always encouraging and helpful even when it’s not “business hours.”

Kent is a wonderful counselor! I saw him for almost two years. When I first met with him I was severely depressed and in an abusive relationship. Kent helped me realize my self worth and gain my life back. He is very encouraging and great to talk to. He’s not judgmental of any situation and truly wants to help. When I first started coming to Kent I was at my complete lowest. I knew that if I didn’t get help , that I wouldn’t be here another year. I have never been so grateful for one person in my life. Going to Kent was the best decision I could have ever made. I have been going to him for exactly two years and six months, and the change in me is outstanding. I use to dread the day before it started. I was 21 and I wouldn’t charge my phone, go out with friends, go to work or anything. I would lay in bed for days and just cry. He has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. He never judged. He always gave me tool to help with day to day life. He praised me when I did great things and helped me when I would trail off. I would recommend this man to anyone that has any problem what so ever. The level of understanding and care that he has is out of this world. Mr. Brand was my doctor as a teenager and helped me in a lot of ways. Ive noticed that now that Im older. I bumped into him at Ruby Tuesday and he still has that great big smile on his face. Very nice man.

To say Dr. Brand is an amazing counselor does not do him justice. Dr. Brand loves his profession so much that he does not see patients or clients, he sees friends and family. That is how he treats everyone. He truly cares about everyone he sees and only wants what is best for them and will help you in pretty much anyway you can. He is the embodiment of a good Christian man, but dont let that stop you if you are not religious. Dr. Brand is one of the best counselors out there and I am glad to have known and worked with him on my problems that helped me get from a college student struggling with ADHD to a college graduate who can manage his problems outside of what medication cannot help with. I will be forever grateful for Dr. Brand and could not have gotten where I am without him.

If I could give Kent a rating higher than 5 stars, I would. My husband and I have been seeing him for a few months now and the quality of our marriage has skyrocketed. I was dealing with the pain of infidelity and had no hope. It was unbearable but I didnt want divorce. My husband and I both wanted reconciliation and healing and decided to seek help. We found better council in Kent Brand than I even knew existed. At the time of our first appointment, I had rated my marriage a 2 out of 10...and I can honestly say at this point, were a solid 10. Dr. Kent Brand is the BEST counselor I have ever encountered! Im 25 years old and have struggled with addiction for the past 10 years. I have been imprisoned and institutionalized more times that i can count. So as a result of my previous lifestyle i had been forced to see many different counselors and never could find the right one. Seeing Kent was the biggest waste of time and money. He did nothing to help our situation. He was passive and offered no suggestions at all. They only thing we agreed on in divorce court was that Kent Brand actually made our relationship worse. Yes, we were willing participants, but with even that he was still no help.
