I would like to start by saying if I could give 0 stars I would. So my story begins. On April 6 I was having symptoms of some heart issues. I contacted my doctor for an appointment. My doctor contacted McLeod for a stress test. My test date was April 24. Marybeth called and stated my doctor didnt have order pre-approved. There was a back and forth between my doctors office, McLeod, my wife and me. When the dust settled my insurance declined the test. I was sent to the McLeod Cardiology center in Hartsville to let the cardiologist order the test.I received a new test date of May 7. My wife called the previous Tuesday to make sure there were no screw ups this time. Lo and behold Marybeth said she never got the order it was still on the nurses desk. Marybeth said she would try and get it approved before the test. Well guess what happened again. I got a call the evening before the test from Marybeth who stated my insurance denied the claim again. Hmm.I had enough of the finger pointing and blame game with no results.I heard several things about a doctor@ the medical group in Hartsville named Brian Sponseller. I made an appointment to see Brian today. I told him my story and he made things happen. He called my insurance and his contact in cardiology and had me an appointment in minutes. Palmetto health cardiology is taking care of my test in the morning and my insurance is covering it. Its amazing what can be accomplished by someone who cares. Thanks Doctor Sponseller of the medical group. He accomplished in minutes what others couldnt do in 6 weeks! Wow!!
