First time experience today with Tara and I couldn’t be happier with how well she took care of my hair! I’ve never had anyone explain things to me as well as she did. I never knew that using a particular product could make such a big difference. Using a certain product can make all the difference in a hair style and keeping a vibrant hair color. I definitely recommend getting some of the amazing fat boy brand products that she offers. The mousse is perfect for my short hair and gives the perfect amount of texture. I would never have known what to use or how to use it but Tara showed me what to do and she is just truly amazing at what she does. I went there for the first time today, Melissa was my stylist and she was AMAZING!! I had few ideas in mind and she told me everything she was going to do and taught me a few styling tricks so I can achieve the look later on. First of all this place definitely deserves more than 5 stars. Found this gem on google checked out the reviews called and spoke with Tara this morning and she squeezed me in a spot with Tiffany. I was unsure of what I wanted she gave me a few suggestions and she definitely knows what shes doing. Tiffany was very professional, polite, helpful, and just a sweetheart. I am absolutely in love with my haircut and color. All of the staff was very friendly they all help each other out and you can tell they enjoy what they do. I just moved to Florence from FL and was very nervous to have to use a new stylist. I chose this place based on the reviews I read. I absolutely loved this salon and the owner Tara - who did my color and hair cut. She was super nice and the ultimate professional. Her staff was just as great- I have found my new salon- thank you Tara!

Today was my first visit and I cant wait to go back in April. Melissa is AMAZING!! She was very attentive and has a vast amount of knowledge. I love that she was willing to talk with me about what I wanted and made me feel comfortable from the first second. I met the owner and her husband while I was there and they were just as personable as the girls who were working today. I left there feeling fabulous and confident in the fact that I have found my salon

4 hours and $315 later, my hair isnt any better than it was before. I was there to get a color correction so they called it. My hair is yellowish-orange now. Im still in shock about the $315. PLEASE DONT WAIST YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!!

Three words: Go. See. Caitlin. I just moved to the area for work and was very apprehensive about letting anyone touch my hair, as I had been going to my stylist for about 8 years. My hair is long and thick, I was long overdue for a cut. Caitlin quickly alleviated my fears by inquiring about what I wanted done and ACTUALLY LISTENING to my response. She took everything I said into careful consideration, walked me through what she was doing (she cuts dry and then washes and blowdrys your hair) and didn’t do anything without telling me first. Some stylists do what they want, and not what the customer wants but that wasn’t the case. When we were finished, it looked like she removed a small dog from my head. She kept the length, removed the bulk, and shaped my hair so nicely! The only thing I would change next time is respectfully declining the after-products she used on my hair as my hair doesn’t really need them and it weighs it down. BUT! There will definitely be a next time. My hair looks and feels great. Thanks again, girl!

I can’t even begin to explain the difference in how I feel after having my hair done at The Studio A Salon. I’m a 53 year old empty nester and wanted a change. Tara, the absolute most fantastic and talented cosmetologist in the world, totally changed my look. I went from a plain Jane short, boring cut to a totally new look. We died my hair platinum with dark (black) roots. I absolutely LOVE my hair! It’s cool, fun and makes me feel like a million bucks. I’ve even started caring about the clothes I wear instead of buying whatever is cheapest or on sale. My husband loves my hair and new attitude. If you’re looking for talented, classy, highly respected people to help you with your hair you absolutely must call The Salon. They are educated, skilled, friendly, cutting-edge stylists. I do not regularly get my hair cut or colored, it is more wait until I cannot stand it anymore. Each time I call the The Studio to get an appointment with Melissa, I am always worked in as quickly as possible. Melissa is great to work with and she takes her time making sure the color and/or cut are exactly what I want and also what will look good on me. She knows I am a no fuss girl and styles my hair that way. The Studio is great and I recommend to everyone I know!!

They charged me twice for my extensions and tried to lie and said they didn’t so I paid 800 dollars for extensions that they said were only 400. They knew they were wrong but didn’t want to give the money back. She is money hungry and a liar. Anyone who was ever good at doing hair their left. I wouldn’t not recommend this place for anyone to go to.

Caitlin is a talented and friendly makeup artist. I love the look she gave me, incorporating my existing makeup. She showed me what to do every step of the way, and even reviewed and helped me make notes at the end. Great fun, excellent experience.

Had my first salon experience here last week and it was AMAZING! The stylists are some of the sweetest people Ive met and they are incredibly talented. I have very thick, long hair that I only get cut every 6 months to a year. I had my first color, with a subtle balayage, and it turned out better than I ever imagined! They finished the look with layering, which I usually try to avoid, but I absolutely love it! I will definitely be returning here to maintain my color and for cuts in the future!

I have been getting my hair styled by Tara since the Studio opened. Every time I walk in the door, I am greeted by everyone. Even though everyone is busy, I feel very much appreciated and welcomed. I have not gone anywhere that I have received better customer service and being as old as I am, I have been to a lot of places around the world. Super pleased 😄. I’ve heard about The studio in Florence and I said to give it a try even though I didn’t have any good luck with any other salons that I tried since 2011. Christin ( hope I spelled her name correctly) is AMAZING. For the first time since I came in USA I didn’t have to go home and take the scissors to cut my hair after I went to a hair salon. She cut it exactly the length and style I wanted. Every time when I look in the mirror I’m amazed what a wonderful job she did. Totally recommend the place. I don’t know about the other girls but Christin did an amazing job on my hair and I’m a very picky person so I totally recommend her.

Tara had been doing my hair for 12 years. She is also an excellent makeup artist and did my hair and makeup for a photo shoot for my website. Her staff is great and they work together to make sure the customer is taken care of. From the minute you walk in the door they are attentive. I cant tell you one negative experience in 12 years with Tara or her staff, and Ive been there every six weeks...meaning more than 100 visits.

What a great salon! Everyone was super friendly and my stylist, Kirby, was excellent. I was visiting the Florence area on business and needed both a cut and color. I took a chance by calling The Studio based on their website - and they did not disappoint! The staff even took the time to write down local places of interest and restaurants I should visit. If Im ever in the area again, I will definitely return.

Melissa was rude and the service was terrible. Dont tell anyone that you will be moving and book in a last appointment as they will book someone on your time, totally ignore you, not apologize and hope that you will leave. My time was 1:00 and I was there at 12:30 but someone was taken at 12:55 and I was not apologized for having to wait. Taken at 1:30 for my color placement and then had to wait additional half hour after the toner bell rang and then someone else was assigned to take over who did a wonderful head massage but they couldnt cut hair and could only blow dry. I ended up walking out at 3:15 due to not being able to have a cut as Melissa had another client walk in the door but I still had to pay over $100 for the color which should have included at least a trim.

My experience at The Studio, A Salon has always been phenomenal! I have been going to The Studio, A Salon for about 2 years and have never been given the personal attention like I get there. Brittany and Caitlyn did my hair and makeup recently for my parents anniversary and my family and friends raved about how beautiful I looked. I got a very personalized experience and they offer treatments to strengthen your hair with vitamins and biotin made by Loreal Professional, not to be confused with Loreal Paris, and with a treatment comes a scalp massage...AMAZING! THEY ALSO do spray tans there and you get a little gift as a new customer plus $20 off your first visit and if you refer someone they can get $20 off their visit. Melissa is the bomb with color...my beautiful beige ash blond looks perfect! Go to the Studio!

The Studio provides my favorite busy-working-mom life hack...a fabulous weekly wash and blowout!! For about 50 minutes most weeks I get to sit and relax while Caitlyn transforms my frizzy thin mop into silky-volumous locks. For just $19, plus tip (they have a great blowout package...be sure to ask about it) I get to have some “me” time. Every wash at The Studio includes a deep scalp massage that I never want to end, followed by a meticulous blowout that I can NEVER replicate at home. The best part is the blowout lasts for several days. I have gained so much time not having to wash and style my hair everyday. This practice may seem a little excessive to some, but for this stressed out small business owner, it helps me be the wife, mom, and boss that I strive to be. Thanks to Caitlyn, Tara, and Becky and all The Studio staff for a great experience every time.

Quality stylists and excellent service

The down fall of this salon is the atmosphere you get immediately. They claim to work together as a team for the coustomer. I experienced exactly the opisite. From Melissa speaking ugly about a former employee of theirs which used to do my hair. To Tara listening and apparently thinking nothing of it. As a former coustomer I spend a lot of money to get my hair done. The last thing I want to hear is that my hair has been done wrong by thier former employee and so all the money I spent at The Studio A Salon was wasted. So now I can spend more money with Melissa and have her fix it. Great team work for Tara. Let me say most importantly, I had no problem with the former employee. I never once complained about anything to do with her work and was actually surprised to hear she was gone . They claim to work together for the coustomer because they value them, in no way did I see team work among this salon. I experienced excuses and thier time is to valuable to work with the coustomer. I found them to bejudgemental even about customers. To bring me as a coustomer into the salon drama is very unprofessional and something I have no interest in. The atmosphere is awful. I will not be returning!!
