I had my first appointment with Dr. Gresham and it went very good. The place was nice and clean. The staff was friendly. Dr. Gresham also did a very thorough job in doing my hearing test and explaining to me what the results were. After going to different E.N.T. Doctors around here for the past year and finding out absolutely nothing from them, I finally have a diagnosis about my ear and know I am not crazy, which I have been made to feel like after seeing some of the other doctors who would tell they really didnt think there was anything wrong. However I finally know what it is and even know I dont know yet if it can be fixed, I am praying so. Thanks Dr. Gresham.

I was very pleased with my experience with him. Receptionist is very friendly also. I had no problems whatsoever. Plus its a beautiful clinic.

I am very disappointed with Dr. Gresham and his staff at Shoals Hearing Clinic. I visited the office in late October with the intentions of getting a new set of hearing aids because mine are older and can only be worked on by my doctor in TX. When I arrived I spoke with the receptionist and made sure that the clinic was in network with my insurance and she assured me it was. I then saw Dr. Gresham and got a screening to see where my hearing was currently at. I was very clear that I needed to have these new hearing aids in hand before 2019 because my family and I have already met our out of pocket pay for the year. Dr. Gresham told me he would file a claim to see how much my insurance would cover. I assured him that my insurance plan covers hearing aids (not many do) so it was SUPER important to file with them in a timely manner. In November I had not heard back from Dr. Gresham or his staff about what my insurance responded. Finally they tell me that they were having an issue with the subscriber number but no one bothered to call and make me aware of the issue. I emailed the office another copy of my insurance card and they told me they filed another claim (with the right info). I then called back and the receptionist told me that my insurance accepted my claim and I specifically asked if they were covering the $7500 and she told me yes. This was great news. I then call back and leave a message asking what the next step in ordering my hearing aids would be. I didnt get a returned call so I called several times when I could (now first week of December.) I finally get a hold of the receptionist who now is saying were waiting to hear back how much my insurance is going to cover after being told they were covered. I speak with Dr. Gresham and he says he will submit a 3rd claim. He does so and its now in the hands of the insurance to tell us whats covered. Blue cross advises us it would take 2-3 weeks to hear back unless the doctor submits a urgent claim. I speak with Dr. Gresham and he informs me he doesnt do that and has no intentions spending his day figuring out how to file an urgent claim. Now the third week of December Dr. Gresham informs me my insurance will cover $300 of the $7500 via email and that I am responsible for paying him $7200. We call my insurance who informs us that Shoals hearing clinic never called to verify that they were in network with my insurance. Its now the middle of December and I dont have hearing aids for my school that starts in January and will have to wait until we reach out 2019 insurance deductible to try to get another set. Dr. Gresham has told me and my family we can take our business elsewhere with no compassion for the amount of trouble this has caused.

Rude doctor! Rolled his eyes when my son wouldn’t cooperate, my son is 1 1/2. He Acted frustrated I was so upset. Beyond rude I hope My son never ever has to go back there.. front desk lady was nice though that’s the only reason I’m giving it 2 stars and it’s a nice building, needs more parking so you don’t have to walk in the pouring rain to the back of the building.

The Drs Marilyn and Richard Gresham have taken very good care of me and my hearing problem. When they were fitting me for my hearing instruments she took the time to match the units to my hair color. Most people don’t even know I’m wearing hearing aides. I have been going to them every 6 months for check ups for over a year. She checks and cleans them and adjusts them when needed.

To Whom It May Concern,My daughter is/was a patient of yours. In October of 2018, she had contacted me about getting new hearing aids. She had told me that my Mother In Law used your facility for hearing aids. As the Administrator of our Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas Plan, I made sure that she got confirmation from your facility that you are In-Network. She was told, by someone at your facility, that you are In-Network.Now, December 2018, she was sent an email from Dr. Gresham stating her patient responsibility is over $7,200.00. This email prompted me to call BCBS to find out what was going on as we have hit our deductible and the hearing aids should have been covered at 100%. But, BCBS told me that NO ONE at Shoals Hearing has called BCBS to do the following for our coverage: Check In-Network status or get Prior Authorization for the hearing aids.We will NOT be paying the $7,200.00 or any other amount. You can return the hearing aids!! I am highly disappointed at the lack of professionalism and follow through in this matter. You have now put my daughter in a position that is resulting in her not getting her hearing aids now. We know that Florence is a small town and I am sure that others will be disappointed in how your facility has handled our daughter’s care!!

My two year old niece was sent here to have her hearing tested, and the man was very VERY rude to my sister and complained, COMPLAINED about my niece to my sister, my niece didnt like he was looking in her ears. Shes TWO and has been in and out of the hospital Which has led to distrust in doctors. He was very unprofessional about the situation and told us he was more worried about his equipment than her so my sister has wasted a personal day from work to be told she has to take another personal day to go all the way to Birmingham . Dont waste your time and just go ahead and go to the childrens doctors elsewhere this man doesnt care about his younger patients. If I could give no stars I would.
