Friendly staff.Reception area was consistently wiped down. You dont have exceptionally long wait times to be seen. Also I love their Telemed. They call back really fast and are quite through.

They are friendly and great at their jobs. Wait times are a bit longer than normal which is ok I guess, but for some reason they charge $80 for a COVID rapid test when Im pretty sure Walgreens does them for free.

I was there this morning with my sister who was miserable sick. I just moved to Flint from Southfield and will be going to this urgent care when I get sick because they were all so nice and professional. We got in, got treated, and got out in less than a hour. This was good concedering how many people was in there! The PA Jenifer was very professional nice and knowledgeable. The lady with red braids was super nice and professional. The office was very clean too. The only thing we didnt like was that so many people was packed in the waiting room coughing and hacking everywhere. They did give us the option to sit in the car so that was good. We didnt expect everyone to be so professional, but they were awesome!

Doctors were really nice and chill, the only thing I dont like is that you guys sent me to the ER with appendicitis and I had too stay over night. But either way, I love this clinic yall are the best

I must say that my experience here was a good one tonight. The prompt service and friendliness of staff was greatly appreciated. JJ was great and comforting and I will be a return patient in future because of her.

Have been sitting here for 3 hours today just for a urine test for my promotion at work. They have called back several other people that I was here before. It takes 5 minutes to give someone a drug test. I highly recommend not coming here. But the nurse was very nice and apologized. Just takes to long.

Come on the weekends, no kids & very professional. Great conversation with the appropriate drug nurse and my autistic bride.

You have time to respond to everyone’s reviews then maybe you should have had enough time to come out and help those in need. A guy who was unable to walk yet received no help. Also maybe make that a suggestion the next time instead of taking others first for the same exact thing that I came in for before the ones who waited an hour before they walked in. No need to be smart we are all patients and we have an opinion this is what the reviews are for.

Ive been to different urgent cares but this is the first time Ive been to this one and I will definitely go back. All of the staff was friendly. It was clean. The PA, Haley, was very professional and caring, she took her time and didnt rush.I didnt have to wait long. In and out in just over an hour. Definitely recommend.

I took my child for an injured wrist, and the staff went above and beyond for them. When leaving they said, “Mom! Everyone used my correct name and pronouns!” It meant a ton to both of us, thank you!The office was nice and clean, and the wait time was the same as other urgent care facilities. The front office staff was very friendly, even in the face of an unruly and entitled patient ranting about his valuable time in a room of sick and injured people.The only downside was the unlit parking lot when leaving. It was dark and the curb was difficult to see, and I was nervous that one of us would trip and end up right back in there. 😅Thank you for your kindness and care!!

Going here for a Job employment drug test is a nightmareExpect a 2 hour wait just for you to pee in a cup. Your not even seen by a doctor but yet its over 2 hours to pee in a cup. Avoid this place at all cause. SLOW! SLOW! SLOW!

This clinic was clean, the staff were adequately masked and VERY FRIENDLY! I had to have some things done for employment for myself and my husband and all 4 days we were in the office we were very impressed by short wait times and how friendly and kind the staff was. Many health care workers are over worked and working in stressful environments and exposed to sick people every day, but despite that the staff was so nice and helpful. I could go on forever. Thank you for great service! Keep up the hard work.

These people have bad customer service they lied to me about how long my drug test will take they hung up in my face twice I hate this urgent care I’m about to have a warrant for my arrest because they told me my results come instantly and after I took it they told me 24-72 hours

Worst staff in the world. They are rude and disrespectful to you every time you step foot in there. The only decent staff here are the doctors and that is hit and miss. The lady at reception on Saturday March 27th is one of the rudest women I ever met. Dont got here for anything! You will get better care at the ER and the wait time is about the sameReturned the same day later to do the test. Lady continued to be rude and refused to provide any sort of wait time. Her response was see all those people... They go first. So basically regardless if you come here for quest diagnostics or for non emergent care, you are in the same 2 hour long queue. She has no interest in helping the patient. She even started saying racial slurs to me because im white....Also note, the doctors reply defending his employees but refusing to contact me personally to resolve the issue.

I went the staff was amazing they help me out alot. Lamona was so nice and help me out tremendously. She was very professional and l informed me about was going on step by step. My nurse practitioner was also very helpful and educated me on what was going on with my foot. The front stay was amazing also.

So I called to inquire about the COVID rapid test and the PRC (3-5) day test. On the phone the lady was really nice and even in person. The problem comes into play when I was told blue cross my insurance was not covering the cost of the PRC TEST. I was also told that the test was $400 out of pocket. I was told that on the phone and in person. So I had to contact my HR DEPARTMENT at my job and they told me that was bull and that it was free for me. I only got the rapid test there and end up going to AMD URGENT CARE for the PRC and they laughed when I told them about the $400 price. I’m not sure what was going on at Genesee but this is just to let people know don’t be fooled into that price especially if you have insurance. I can’t speak for people without insurance. Just be mindful of what you are asked to pay when getting services done. Maybe this facility received false support info I don’t know 🤷🏾‍♂️.

You’ll be treated better elsewhere, I needed stitches and didn’t have a mask on me. Figured being a medical facility they would have one. On arrival I asked for one, the receptionist said that can’t give out masks. My hand was bleeding due to a deep cut, I needed help, I was confused as to why they wouldn’t give me a mask, But I then asked if she could direct me to another clinic, she said I could google it myself. So that’s what I wanted to do, try to find another location while dripping blood all over my phone. I was frustrated with her response. I could have drove to a store, bought a mask, and returned, but out of principle I decided not to give them my business regardless of the blood dripping from my hand. I’ve had to use this location in the past, they are rude, inconsiderate, stuck-up, the parking lot is always empty and wait times long for no particular reason. Last time there was 2 people waiting I was there for over an hour to be seen. They are not worthy of your visit, unless your dying, find another urgent care, you’ll be treated better elsewhere.

Im a traveling Nurse, I take the hipaa compliance training (and part D - medicade) at least 4 times a year. (Every new contract) So weird, how does this benefit your company? Well whatever, looking for a new clinic !Yes we spoke on the phone. I told youthis was my 3rd time calling up there asking for my records, when you chuckled at me and said for the 3rd time we dont give records if your employer paid for your appointment then I said read the patient rights sign and to read the hipaa law pertaining to patient rights to have access to their chart . So itd be pretty weird if you didnt remember a conversation like that. Or maybe someone acting like they were you, which would be a big problem. I did report you to the health and human services for hipaa violation. They said it would be a while to to get to the investigation but I have that reference number if youd like.Love how your reply speaks nothing about my records, but youre snarkey about my review. Youre a true genius with customer care.

I called to inquire about COVID testing and asked if they carried the rapid test or the lab test. I was told no to both and was told they have the nose test. I proceeded to ask about the tests and the staff member who answered was very rude. She told me well you asked me about the rapid test I said no you asked me about the lab test I said no. We only have the nose test. I had to hang up before I blew up. What the heck does a nose test mean?! She wouldnt even explain or give me a chance to ask.

The staff at Genesee Urgent Care was thorough & extremely polite. I was required to visit their office for pre-employment testing. They made sure my results were submitted promptly to my employer. I would definitely visit them again based on my recent experience there.

I am a disabled veteran with a chronic pain and swelling condition with my ankle that was broken during my time in the service. The intake technician wasnt very friendly but ok. As she asked me about my symptoms she was rolling her eyes and then asked me if I injured my foot at work. I said no. Then proceeded to say I am changing my story and that I need to say it is work related to get treatment. She was an absolute failure in my opinion. I ended up leaving without any treatment and will never return.

My 1st experience at an urgent care and boy was I impressed! Not only was the staff friendly and efficient, but they cared enough to follow up and see how my daughter was doing! Highly recommend!

After seeing the one star reviews I was a little hesitant about giving this place a try. I have to say that I was not only surprised by the friendliness but also fully appreciated the professionalism that I experienced. The staff and the medical providers went over and beyond the expectations of what I would expect from a simple urgent care. First, the medical assistant that took my vitals was caring but quick to get me into my room. The provider (PA not MD) really took the time to ask questions that pertained to the symptoms I was experiencing. The diagnoses and prescription that was given to me was correct, I am feeling back to my old self. Even my Primary Doctor confirmed that Genesee Urgent Care did a good job taking care of me. I will always recommend this location to my friends and my family. I will be back every time I get sick.

Had to do a pre employment drug test. The girls were fast, friendly and everyone was masked.

My 2 year old son had a cut on his chin and it needed to be glued. After being turned away from the pediatric urgent care down the road, we took him to Genesee Urgent Care. The doctor and staff were very good with my son and he had a great experience. We will be sure to come here again if we have any other accidents in the future.

I went to this urgent care and was treated and prescribed meds and told I would receive a call about a test result. The staff was friendly, professional and I was seen in a timely manner. If the need arises, I will definitely return to this location.

I honestly got great service every time I have come here. Today was my first time in years but I was not disappointed. I needed to get checked out and where I usually go was trying to push me off for two months. It is something which couldnt be pushed off for months or even weeks. I went around opening and was in and out in roughly 20-30 minutes. Even if the wait was longer it would have been worth it. All staff I ever had here have been polite towards me. Very satisfied.

One hundred percent satisfied. They got me in right away. Very professional and kind. Doctor knew exactly how to help me and called a prescription over to my pharmacy. Feel so much better. A blessing to Flint.

My daughter had a bad cut on her head and I brought her to urgent care where we had to wait for a long time to be seen even though she had blood all over her face. Waited even longer after being called back to exam room and when the doctor finally came in she said she wasnt comfortable doing any stitches because of her age. While I understand that was the best for my daughter I should not have waited and spent all that time to be told that and on top of it I was sent a bill. I wish I would have gone to the hospital in the first place. Hurley has a childrens ER and was awesome.

Waited for about 20 minutes. The PA was very nice and informative. The nurse was quick which thats great but seemed to have a bad attitude along with the checkout lady. No eye contact and not friendly at all. Straight and to the point. Get in and get out. Obviously most want that but friendliness goes a long way when your in healthcare. Dont be rude! Its not hard to say have a nice day.

Care might be OK, however there is no sense of urgency! Brought a friend in this morning. Very, slow. Even if you are pouring blood. Might be a good idea to triage when people get there so you know the seriousness of the injury. If its an emergency dont go here! I did change my initial rating, as once seen, the care is good. Just slow to get it.

I came to this facility in a panicked state seeking medical care and efficient treatment. Those two things were so, SO rapidly provided. Id never been to this clinic before, yet I was immediately made comfortable, the PA I saw was immeasurably kind and informative, as well as the nurse, and I cannot thank them enough for their assistance.

I have never been to your facilty but I will never come there. When a response to complaint is made it seems like you are being rude also. I realize not everyone is going to be happy or maybe not telling the truth but acting like the customer is not the answer. You are supposed to be professionals.

Came in for a sore throat today. The waiting room was pretty busy but I was taken back to a room really quickly and seen by an NP. She said her name so quick I didnt catch it but was extremely professional. Been to plenty of Urgent Cares but this is by far the best experience Ive had at one.

Went to this clinic on a Sunday evening. Xrays were taken then I was told they would be sent out for a reading. I made several calls in the following five days to get the results of the xrays. Finally Friday morning when I called they told me I had a break and they wanted me to go to Ortho Michigan for treatment. I told the person I had already gone to Ortho on my own and now have a cast from my knee down. I also told them I was very disappointed in their service. If you feel you have broke a bone don’t waste your time with an urgent care. Go to the Ortho Michigan walk in clinic. Very good service.

Will not be returning. I generally come here for minor flu symptoms. But today( Sat) the type of professionalism that i am use to was not there. It took too ppl to check me in and even longer for them them to give back my insurance card and id. The so called medical receptionist couldnt even pronounce have of the medication my son was on to do an update to busy order Panera. Told them my choice of pharmacy twice. Wait time was longer than usual for 3 ppl to be ahead of me. Very questionable ppl there today handle information

Normally this place is awesome. Today my girlfriend and her sister went in for little blisters on hands and in their mouth. Dr working is a real genuis with a diagnosis of a yeast infection real intelligent this one is. Go to urgent care in flushing its hands feet mouth Dr at genesse urgent care said it was out of season. This place would do well to get rid of this doctor.

Horrible afternoon receptionist and office staff. We showed up at 7pm and this woman made us sit there for 40 minutes before she told us that they dont take our insurance. Then went to different urgwnt care that told us the same thing in 2 minutes AND gave us a list of places that would! Waste of time. Tried 3 times to call to talk to an office manager and there is never one on duty. Dont waste your time with them.

I normally use them once a year and would recommend thier office but my experience with them this year was awful.. unprofessional.. and the front desk staff was rude. They dont tell u that youre not seeing an actual doctor or that one is available on case of an emergency. I went in sick and was seen by a medical assistant who prescribed me two antibiotics and no cough medicine. She said I need an chest X-ray and when the results came back she said I have slight pneumonia. She lets me go and sends me to the pharmacy. I goes to the pharmacy and they tell me that I should check with my doctor regarding the two antibiotics and is concerned with me taking two antibiotics. I called the office back to see why I didnt have cough syrup and two antibiotics. I was told that the person I was seen by wasnt a doctor and only could write limited medications. This was alarming because at least there should be a doctor there to oversee the staff in case of emergencies; Or one on call. I Will never go there again. I have darn good insurance I pay for every two weeks and when I visit a place when Im sick I should be notified if Im being seen by a real doctor or one in training. I would have went else where! I end up spending more money n more time off work to go see my doctor, pay another copay and get more new medicine with more copayments. My doctor still dont understand why they would allow me to leave as sick as I was without proper diagnosis, a breathing treatment and the correct medicine. Dont waste your money here! They dont even deserve the one star

We were traveling from the other side of the state to visit family and had to come here. Wish I had gone to the Urgent care run by the hospital I work at instead!! Went in because my son had swelling in his hands and feet which we thought was caused by an allergic reaction. Paid a $50 copay. Vitals were taken. The Nurse Practitioner NOT Doctor (I say this because they tell you the doctor will be right in but you dont see the doctor) walked into the room started saying na uh...na uh...this is bad. Nope Im not touching him. He needs to go to the ER. She made me feel like a bad mom because I drove to the other side of the state first! She said his throat looked red and swollen BUT his breathing was fine and he was eating and drinking all day with no problems. I have an extensive medical background but I cant prescribe medicines. She seemed so concerned but on the way out had us stop to show her co-worker ??? I called to see if I could get my co-pay back because he was not treated and we were encouraged to go to the ER but the lady (Kelly) said vitals were done and the NP assessed him. She was very concerned! If they were so worried about him they should have called an ambulance to be escorted to the DR. She also said more bills would be coming...for WHAT!? Ive worked as an EMT. We assess people all the time but unless you got in my rig and I TREATED you we didnt charge! Also the facilities over on my side of the state wave the co-pay if they have to send you to a different facility because they are unable or unwilling to treat you. If my doctors office sent you co-pay waved! Urgent care couldnt deal with you co-pay waved! Then she asked why I didnt just go to the ER! Seriously!? If my son was having breathing issues I wound have! But his airway wasnt compromised so I thought the Urgent was where we needed to go. Many ERs will charge you full price for services if they deem your situation non emergent. I respect the NPs decision not to touch my son but I dont appreciate my money being taken! She could wave the co-pay if she wanted! Even BCBS of MI said they should have and I informed them that my son was not treated! The lady I talked to about getting my co-pay back was rude and not understanding in the least. The first time I called they said she would look into and get back to me. After a week I called back because no-one had gotten back to me. I called Genesys Hospital to see if they would help me and they said if I had gone to the hospitals Urgent Care the co-pay would have been applied to the Era co-pay. Is this the only medical facility that doesnt wave co-pays!? This is why healthcare isnt privatised!! Money hungry companies who dont care about the patients!! Im sure theyll have some hoity toity response to this comment...bring it because Id like people to see your lame justifications!Reply to Comment:I actually worked in my fathers doctor office as a medical biller! I worked billing insurance and dealing with patients just like me all the time before I switched into a more hands on rule. We were a Christain driven Family Practice and helped out in these situations all the time! Look it up Cornerstone Family Medicine! Waiving a co-pay is at the discretion of the company just like a deductible on a car claim! That came straight from BCBS! It might be against YOUR companies policy not to waive deductibles but not everyone elses. You did not help me at all! You said the co-pay stays but if I got charged for MORE bills then you MIGHT help. I ended up working something out with BCBS instead! Dont worry tho I will never be back and hopefully others dont make the same mistake I did! I should have listened to the other reviewers!

I have used this urgent care for myself and my son with special needs Derrick Houston, Derrick has passed away, but I must say Jenelle and Glenda took GREAT care of him ALWAYS and the staff was always concerned, when they heard of his passing they were in tears, I appreciate All the help over the years.

Check out lifetime urgent care on hill road! Way better prices and better attmosphere!!!!!!! My last 3 experiences here at genesee urgent care have not been good. A doctor prescribed me tramadol for ear infection pain, me being naive and trusting him to give me the appropriate medicine, took the tramadol too help with pain. Didnt realize until i was high at work i was given a narcotic. Secondly, i was told a strep test wouldnt cost me extra on top of my $85 fee. I go in last night for a check up and im told i owe $20 for it. They charge for every little thing and then leave you with balances after youve already paid your walkin fee. Katy at the front desk is rude and not helpful. I will not be returning.

Wait times are always long when the waiting room and parking lot are empty. Gets a little aggravating. Think your going to get in and out because no one is there but it takes 5 times longer than if there was 10 people waiting.

Waited almost an hour for a drug screening, I was the only person in the waiting room for over 20 minutes. About 1/2 hour before anyone came to the window. Person came in after me and was called back before me.
