I went to Bella Red recently for the first time to get a haircut. I havent had a haircut in about 8 months and I didnt really know what I wanted. Cara came up with a plan and explained in detail what she thought would work best. I love my haircut. Its exactly what I wanted and I didnt even know it! Covid protocols were clearly being followed and checkout was a breeze. Everyone was super friendly and fun to chat with, too! Worth the price for a little mom time.

This place blew my expectations out of the water. I was very impressed with the service, the price and most importantly the quality. I came in to my stylist with a vague description if what I wanted and she was able to suggest things that really complimented me. Christine did an excellent job using a razor blade to cut my thick pandemic-isolation-hair to my chin in a super cute uneven bob just before the heat wave. The salon is totally professional, clean, sanitized and I felt safe. Christine made me laugh and feel welcome. I was totally done within an hour. Will return for sure! Thank you Christine!

Jaimei was an absolute joy to be treated by at Bella Red Salon! She did an excellent job blowing out my hair and helping me to feel glamorous for my nephew’s college graduation. This salon is so modern and chic! All of the employees are so wonderful, helpful, and super friendly. I always feel very comfortable and at ease when I come here. My hairstylist has been Vanessa and she has taken me from layers of black box dyed hair to pretty much platinum hair while being very honest and realistic about the timeline and the end results. I can happily say she exceeded my expectations of what was possible for my hair. She’s very personable and also understanding of her clients ever changing hair requests!

I followed Christine Ramsey here after she left Headlines Salon in University Village. She is a hair genius! Took me forever to find her but I did! Believe me Federal Way is not that far and Christine is totally worth the drive. Got KTip extensions done by her last month. I wouldnt trust anyone but Christine to install them. Her work is quick and flawless.

Ive been going to this salon since 2014! All the stylists are amazing and Kristin the owner is a rock star. Shes been doing my hair most of the time but Ive seen plenty others. She even did hair for my wedding! Kristin runs a great shop, her employees are well taken care of, always have continuing education opportunities to improve and learn new things as the industry evolves. They ensure you will have the best trained stylists to accomplish whatever look youre seeking. Highly recommend Bella Red Salon!

They had several clients overbooked, which isnt unusual from what I overheard from staff. They even stuck me in the shampooing/washing area for long periods of time to apply hair color. My hair doesnt look like it has changed at all, yet they charged full price for my terrible experience. Ive gone from brown to blonde in one session at other salons but they said they couldnt/wouldnt. My haircut was an afterthought to get clients in/out of the salon as fast as possible. They only care about clients who will let them post photos on their instagram or using their hashtag. I will never come back again. If I could give 0/5 stars, I would.

Went to make an appointment, and before I could even ask when one was available one of the employees stated in a polite, but snide tone that I would need a mask if I was going to be in there.Maybe be a bit more tactful when asking people to wear a mask, especially given CDC guidance, not too mention the fact that on 30 June 21 all Covid mandates end here in Washington.

This is my second experience with this salon. I went to this salon to try and go platinum, went in for two separate sessions to try and get it light and it’s brassy and yellow still two weeks later. They told me it would “wash out”. $600 later and my hair is not what I was told I would be getting. The first time I asked for platinum the stylist just turned my hair grey. I don’t think I’ll ever come back after this, I wouldn’t recommend Jaimie

Today I had a 9am appointment that unfortunately the stylist I was going to see wasnt able to come in. Instead of rescheduling while I was there they comped my appointment and had another stylist in the salon, so I could get my hair done. I just want you to know that I offered to pay, but the manager there said no we want to take care of you. I was about to cry when he said that and even he said that they were going to comp my service. In my experience the other salons that Ive gone to wouldnt have even thought about doing to a free service, I would have been rescheduled for another day. Ive almost hit a year going to Bella Red, and I cant praise enough how amazing the staff are. Everyone is so warming and inviting that make you feel like you matter. I never write reviews, usually just do the stars and thats it, but I do want people to know that when you go to Bella Red you are getting the best of the best.

I had a great first visit to the salon! I was impressed by the cleanliness and the over all appearance of the salon is very nice and new. I had a full foil and hair cut with Jesse. The service was super friendly and professional. I was lucky Jesse had an assistant so my foils went quickly. The price seemed a bit low actually so that was a pleasant surprise! I already booked my next appointment and am looking forward to it!

Pricing is fair and reflects the quality of products and services offered. Kristin promotes teaching and mentorship in her salon, if youre blessed to have one of her educators performing your service please expect there to be occasions where they will partner with an associate stylists [fully licensed but still polishing their skills to meet the high Bella Red Salon stanards]. Absolutely do NOT expect to come into this salon for a service and then treat the stylists with disrespect or con the salon out of the service fee. I get my fulfillment of online drama reading the Yelp/Google reviews watching those folks be politely but soundly corrected by Kristin. I came here on a recommendation from a friend and it was a delightful experience. The stylists are so talented, kind, and passionate about their craft. The owner Kristin has created something amazing, if we hadnt moved out of state Id definately be going here regularly for my hair needs. I will definately be making appointments when Im back in town to visit friends and family though. Oh, and they have these super cute retail headbands on their website.

I have been coming here since WA opened up salons in phase 2 and due to COVID-19 my usual place remained closed a little longer. They are also serious about making sure no one comes in sick and that everything is cleaned and sanitized and keeping with social distancing. On top of those safety precautions everyone at this salon is friendly and welcoming. I see Max and have been loving his work I’ve gotten several haircuts, vivid coloring and I’m booked for hair extensions and have continued to come here even though my previous place is open again because on top of his great work his customer service is beyond measure he loves what he does and it shows. When I see him I get to relax and just hang out with him which is super bonus he’s so great. The main reason I return here is Max and his amazing work and that fact he makes me feel like a Queen while being pampered :) I also like the fact that the salon is taking safety precautions seriously. Oh and little gem for anyone going there they have a charging area for phones should you be in there for a longer service so you don’t need to worry about being incommunicado lol.

Heather is amazing and gives fantastic cut and color! They also take covid super seriously and have all sorts of procedures in place to keep you and your stylist safe. Ive been going here for a couple of years and wont go anywhere else!

Absolutely love having Erica work on my hair! She did such an amazing job! My hair was an absolute disaster, think damaged, bleached with growout, brass, and patches of pink dye that never faded out. My hair looks and feels amazing! Also my hair Never hold curls but somehow she made the curls last through a nap test and somehow the next day theres still some shape left. Erica saved my hair and I cant thank her enough!

Never again ever, I saw Jaime and showed her a picture of the hair color I wanted and asked her several times if she could give me that color and she said yes. When she was done with the process it was nothing like I wanted so the owner, Kristen said they could fix it. Well after being there almost five hours, I left with grayish ashy hair that isn’t anything like what I wanted.

THE WORST hair salon I have been to in my life!!! Not only did they mess up the color not once but twice and cut off more hair then I had asked for but when I complained that my hair color had COMPLETELY FADED WITHIN THREE weeks they asked if I wanted to come and get it fixed a third time. When I said no that’s super unhealthy and asked for a partial refund the owners answer was to have her coworker tell me no and that I could leave a bad review. I originally got suggested to come here because I was looking for someone who could do balayage since I just moved here from Florida. Myself being a blonde I always do research into a hairstylist before I come see them. I was very confused to why my hair came out so poorly when the girls work looked so nice online. It was when the hairstylist tried to post my after photo online when I realized THEY COMPLETELY EDIT THEIR PHOTOS. When I originally came in the lady started coloring the brown on top and then when she washed my hair out she felt the blonde at the bottom was still too blonde so she put in some brown at the bottom but left the color on too long. She promised me that the bottom would fade since I told her my hair didn’t look like a balayage but only brown. She said if I didn’t like it to come back within a wk and she would fix it. After a wk went by I knew I had to call because I was very unhappy. I had a diff hair stylist try and fix the bottom saying that yes indeed it was too dark and wasn’t what I had asked for. It looked better and I figured it would at least do for the next couple of months but recently the color had faded so dramatically that I had to call a third time because my hair is in a dirty blonde looking color now since all the color has seemed to wash out. I understand that color can do that but in two weeks is a very short time. I think a box from the store would of lasted longer. I called and was told the owner would call me back multiple times and she never did. Finally after a few days I called back and was told by the front desk lady that the owner said she wouldn’t do anything for it and that I could leave a bad review. So apparently money is more important then customer satisfaction. I emailed the owner and got no response. If you go to their fb I have posted the diff images of my hair before, after, what I wanted, how they made my hair look (their edited version) and how my hair is now. I will be seeing a new hair stylist soon and will repost to this to let you guys know who to go see instead of them.
