These people are awesome. Best place to take your glasses for a fix up. Ive also found a couple pairs of really cool old frames there. And you cant beat those eggs! :)

Excellent business! It is so difficult to find a place like this where they know how to repair glasses and are willing to take the time to do so. We took two pairs of glasses in - one needed the rivets tightened (that attach the front of the frame to the temples), the other simply needed the hinge tightened. Friendly, fast service.

Glasses NOT guaranteed.I got new lenses fitted into old frames, but the lenses they put in so distorted my vision that I couldnt see out of them. They would only replace if they got the prescription wrong, which they didnt. They said it would take 2 weeks to make, and it took 4 weeks. I have since gone elsewhere and have found I needed a different type of lens so it wouldnt distort. Other place guarantees that I can see out of the glasses or I get my money back.

I own a pair of Ralph Lauren Purple Label foldable sunglasses. These are very expensive sunglasses I had gotten for a great deal. I went to the Walmart optical department and another optical place in town, and neither knew what to do to fix my problem. I called Ralph Lauren, called the manufacturer, Luxottica, and the only answer I got was: You can replace the frames entirely, but it will cost you half the cost of the glasses.I was recommended here, to Chitwoods, by a lady at the Walmart optical lab. I had almost no hope of actually getting these sunglasses fixed.Rick, whom I presume to be the owner, took a look at them, and he fixed them immediately. He then said Are these crooked on you? to which I replied, Yes, as the temple had gotten bent a little, and he fixed the crookedness and custom fit them to my head better than they had been when they were brand new. He then cleaned the lenses to perfection, and instructed me on how to keep them clean and what solutions to use.He charged me $5 dollars, and it took five minutes of my time. I cant even imagine a better optics lab. Go here!
