Blankenship and Rhonda really changed my life when I met him 2 years ago. I was unable to walk or stand for 10 mins at a time without pain. I needed to have 3 vertebrae fused and ran into a couple issues right out of the hospital. I developed a fever at 2am and called the hosp who got in touch with Rhonda, she called back within 10 minutes. I also caught a stomach bug, one of the worst pains Id ever felt with front and back incisions. They got me through it though. I would recommend this team to anyone who is having back issues. My life has done a 180 and am now active again.

After being in pain since 2003.Already had neck fusion surgery in 2003 by Dr.Knox.I was seen today by Dr.Blakenship and his Nurse.First impression of staff ,very nice and answered all my questions. Went to room and meet his Nurse Practitioner I forget her name.She was very friendly. Had xrays of neck and lower back.Dr.Bakenship came into to meet and examine me.Very nice bedside manner.Very upfront not misleading at all.Then I meet with a physical therapist from next door. Dont know his name.Also very nice explained what he was doing and what he was looking for. Dr.blakenship came back in and we talked about my xrays, that I need a mri.What my options are, and we made a plan to move forward together .We also discussed my weight being a huge issues with some of the pain in my lower back.He was very gentle, and very concerned with me being able to feel comfortable talking about my weight.His overall goal is for me to be pain free. This was one of the best experiences I have had in over 10 years of living with daily pain.He was very nice,gentle approaching the subject of my weight.And has an amazing amount of support for his patients well being.I am very impressed with him,and his bedside manner.

Requested to see my images of the MRI. They didnt show them to me, while telling me I needed a new MRI because this one wasnt good enough that I just got. I told him I wanted to see the images of the existing MRI before I get a new one, they told me I would have to pay for another doctors visit just to see my images, they charged me $300 before insurance, still havent got to see the images of the MRI I got in May.....I talked your Washington regional hospital and they said they were willing to redo the same MRI at no charge if theres a problem with it, instead of me going to another MRI place that this doctor recommends, I think Ill just go to a new doctor anyway.They also said that my existing MRI was a good image and to have this doctor call the doctor at radiology and discuss it. Instead they just tell me how everything is all my fault for not doing what they told me to do, its not too much to ask to see the images that theyre telling you are no good, and asking for them to give you an opinion based on the information they do have, especially when youre paying such a high price for 10 minutes in an office, truly laughableUPDATE 10/22/20I WENT TO THE NEUROLOGICAL SPINE CENTER AT WASHINGTON REGIONAL HOSPITAL, THEY SAID THE IMAGE WAS GREAT, WASNT BLURY OR ANY PROBLEM WITH THE AXIS. NO NEW MRI NEEDED! TOLD ME EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO KNOW ABOUT THE RISK OF INJURY, SURGERY OPTIONS, ECT.

Received an MRI from Washington County regional hospital, took it to Dr blankenships office he said I needed a new MRI because the image wasnt a good quality. I requested to see the MRI that we had and he gave me an excuse about how they already took it out of the computer, and gave me the disc. I called the hospital back up and they said they would redo the MRI at no charge if theres a problem with it and that Blankenship should call there and discuss it with Dr Nichols if theres a problem with the image.Blankenships office now tells me I have to make a new appointment and theyll be more charges just to come in and see the images from my original MRI which I requested twice while I was in the office the first time. Then told me that it wouldnt matter if I looked at the images anyway because I dont know what Im looking at...Then tells me its my fault because I didnt go get the new MRI like the doctor wanted me to from the office he wanted me to go get a new MRI from. I assume there must be some referral fee...Ill post some YouTube videos of the phone calls with the doctors name so it will come up on search. Really really disappointed. Dr Blankenship is a doctor that does not rush to surgery, he wants to be sure that is the best solution. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I would and have recommend Dr Blankenship.

He’s been working on my husband and jumping through hoops with workman’s Comp. Always one hundred percent honest will recommend him.

Dr. Blankenship and his staff are fantastic, especially Rhonda. I would recommend his clinic to anyone. I had cervical surgery 5 years ago and I couldnt ask for better results. I was having a lot of sharp pain between my shoulder blades, shooting pain, pins and needles and numbness down my left arm and into my index finger and thumb. After surgery, I was pain free and all of the other symptoms were relieved within six months. If you are having neck and low back problems then this is the place to go for help.

I am very pleased with Dr. Blankenship, and Staff. They were friendly and upfront about everything and all options available. Rhonda is great, shes on top of everything. The hospital staff were great and friendly. My husbands pain is completely gone in his leg and his recovery process has gone very smoothly. If we are to ever need spine/neck doctor we will only come here!

I had back problems for two (2) years and three (3)  months due to an injury.Despite being see by  two (2) Neurosurgery, and by (2) pain management doctors. They cannot pinpoint the real problem.So, I was in my lowest point if, you know exactly what that means.When I met  Dr. James Blankship for the first time,  he immediately saw the problem and explain to me why I was in a excruciating pain. His positive fix back, make me feel  like a new person even though the problem was till there.Dr. Blankenship is the MOST  professional, empathetic, caring and loving doctor I have EVERT metHe no only found the problem but he also fix itDr. Blankenship could see it the problem, so I dont understand why the others doctors couldn not.Right now at this moment I am in my first week and two days after surgery. And I feel AMEZING , Dr. James Blankenship gave me back the sense of  a normal human being and  for that I  thank you for the bottom of my heartAbout the staff it is number one ( my personal experience )they have treated me with respect and dignity.His Nurse Rhonda is well knowledgeable in the procedure, so she conveys the information to the patient in a crystal clear and understandable manner.Dr. Blankenship teams of Doctors specially the anesthesiolog, did a very good job. I just remember getting out of Pre-Op, then after I wake up at my bedroom. First off I would like to thank the entire staff at his office and the hospital. I am only 6 days post surgery and feel like a new person. I am still working on the numbness of the foot and bruise like pain in my back but I can feel the difference. Dr. Blankenship is true in his word about listening. I also loved the fact that the whole time talking with him on my first visit that he was staring into a computer and we got right down to business on fixing my problem. Thank you again for everything and I have already referred 2 people to come and see him because I trust and would go back to him in the future if needed.

I first had a spinal fusion in my neck and its perfect aftet 20 years of pain. This year he fixed my lower lumbar. This man great and completely honest dr.

I tried to get an appointment with Dr Blankenship to set up a back surgery but was told that since our primary insurance was Medicare we could only see the APN and in 3 months time! We tried to explain that we had secondary insurance and that we had surgery scheduled through another Neuro but wanted to have the surgery in Fayetteville but they didnt care. Apparently Medicare patients are 2nd class citizens! We were able to get an appointment eventually and Dr. B performed the surgery which went well. As a doctor I give him a 4 out of 5, but his billing policies are an issue.
