Dr. Van Fossen is a outstanding general surgeon, she explains your medical conditions to you and her recommend procedure in correcting them. Her explanations are clear so you are well inform before during and after. Her office and staff are very professional. I would highly recommend her if you need a general surgeon.

Ms. Van Fossen has the best bedside manner ever. She has a great team from start to finish. They were so kind to me. They made me feel like a human being and not just a medical record number. They understood my concerns and reassured me that I would be taken care of. I highly recommend Ms. Van Fossen.

Took my wife to this place, I was quoted $200 for the fee. Paid $200 upfront to see the doctor since we didn’t have insurance. No problems whatsoever, however a month later they sent me a notice saying we owe them $110 more because we saw the doctor.. I suggest you guys to be upfront with your fees!! What a rip off!! When calling to find out what the extra fee is for!! The billing department goes we don’t know you have to ask the doctor!! Never again at this office!! I say stay out of this place..

The worse experience at a doctors office. I had to have emergency surgery for a perforated bowel. Dr. Appresai was good at the hospital. When I had to go see him 30 days post op first the nursing staff NEVER took my vitals. Even after I told him I Fainted the Thursday prior going to seeing him. Then he never took my stomach dressing off to look at my stomach mind you I’m cut 100% on my stomach. Which that caused me to have to go to the ER because the foam on my stomach was there too long by the time my nurse had came to see me at my house two days later. Which I was getting ready to have infection in my incision. When I spoke with him he did not sound too concerned. On top of all of that this doctor does not want to see me again until October. Which my stomach incision will be healed before then. The last time I seen him was April 13th.

I found Dr Ravinder K Annamaneni, MD, FACS, FRCS. and his staff (Fern Creek General Surgery) very professional and helpful to both myself and my wife during an exceedingly difficult procedure (Stage 4 Stomach Cancer). During all phases of the surgery Pre, during and Post he took the time to explain the procedure in terms that both my wife and I could clearly understand and answered all our questions satisfactory. Dr Annamaneni also is part of the Cape Fear Valley Hospital System which uses MyChart program/application which I found extremely helpful in reading his surgery/visit notes (these notes were always promptly posted within 4 – 6 hours after the procedure). Would highly recommend him to anyone requiring surgery.

We went in the doctor was a little insulting. Ok some doctors have no bedside manner. But we let it go. He was going to do a surgery for my husband. We has to get my husband cleared from his heart dr. To do the surgery. So we went to the office to sign papers to get that done. 3 weeks go by I called to see where we stood. I was told they needed to get that release. So I asked how long hD it been since they contacted the heart Dr. They to me they couldnt fax my husband info to the heart Dr. Because of privacy issues . So I asked how they were going to get a release if they didnt contact him. She said she hD to ask her Manger and shed call .e back. My husband died 4 years ago and I still havent heard from them

The receptionists and nurse were awesome. I even liked Dr Appresai at 1st. He stated he was going to draw fluid off my leg, and use a local before doing it. However, when he began the procedure he did not and proceeded to stick the needle in an already sore leg. He then told me I was ok and could return to work because it was ok. Fast forward to a week later and a second opinion appointment with a surgeon on Bragg. I currently am laying in a hospital bed after having the leg cut on. Blood clots and infection were removed. But it was ok. Dont even think so.

I had an awesome experience during my visit! The lady’s running the desk treated me with dignity and respect; those women rock! The surgeon was also outstanding he took the time to get my whole medical history and went everything with me to ensure I understood it all. I am relieved to be in such caring hands!

My first experience with the office was not good as I was referred to them by my primary physician and couldn’t get an appointment for 6 weeks in which I was dealing with pain. The office and staff and the doctor are nice and responsive until I had my surgery. I requested more medication post-op but was told no. I understood this as I know medical personnel are cautious with giving out narcotics. I was told to take ibuprofen which I did with no pain relief. I scheduled another appointment but they couldn’t see me for TWO WEEKS. In which I had to manage my pain somehow as over the counter meds were not helping. After being seen I was told to wait a couple more weeks and also during that appointment she told me she would schedule an ultrasound that I could cancel if I was feeling better. That wasn’t scheduled and after trying to take an alternative route to see a chiropractor I still had pain. My primary physician (who is also terrible but given the current times it is difficult to find a new one) told me to contact them since I was still having issues. Attempts to contact them failed however. I gave one last shot today and hoping for a response next week. Oh and my surgery was a year ago. A year with pain and no response from my doctor. Fayetteville has proven to be the worst place for receiving medical care.

My adult son who has never had surgery or ever been on any medication had to have hernia surgery. Percocet was prescribed for his pain. It made him sick and he would experience chest discomfort after taking it.The day after surgery while still experiencing post operative pain, we contacted the on call surgeon to see if his meds could be changed because of the side effects and because it was not easing his pain. Dr Ejah was on call and refused to prescribe any new medications. We made it clear that my son did not prefer a narcotic for pain. She refused and kept making reference to him not getting another narcotic, which he was not asking for at all. She recommended Tylenol and Motrin for his post op pain!! I’m sure this surgeon would not have treated her own son that way. Why are certain people treated as if they are opiate addicts, when they just want the pain to go away and they don’t even want narcotic pain meds?We will never recommend this surgeon to anyone! I have to try my best to keep my son comfortable with over the counter Motrin and Tylenol!! Shame on this doctor!

How refreshing a doctor who listens, a doctor who seems to care. Disappointing the Dr. to whom referred me did not send over records but I wasn’t surprised. Her nurse also took the time to make note of all family history UNLIKe my other doctors. This would be important when you are currently being screened for cancer, heart disease and gastrointestinal issues. The front desk lady Sandra was very friendly as was the check out receptionist. Thank you! Hopefully this great care will continue from this office.

I called as a self-pay patient, ready to invest $20k in the procedure I wanted. The woman who answered the phone was the coldest, most off-putting person I have encountered. She kept interrupting me and spoke over me while I asked a simple question. Pretty high ego for a receptionist. Its too bad I will be going elsewhere now. My doctor recommended a surgeon at Fern Creek but I will not pay $20k cash to a facility who bullies patients.

Very unprofessional! Waited for 45 minutes after signing in before I was even acknowledged. Waited a total of 2 1/2 hours to see the doctor. Never checked on even though I just had surgery and told them I was very uncomfortable. Meanwhile 3 other people who came in after me saw the dr before me. I really like dr Ejeh but would never want to deal with the staff again.

My Aunt has been dealing with a ruptured appendix since March... they havent removed it yet... just gives her prescriptions after one runs out and then she gets sick again bc theres more Infection.. we are on the 2nd month... and here again just coming off more antibiotics she feels the worst she has ever so here comes another dose. I would think there should be some imaging needed... besides a stool sample... a ruptured appendix is freaking serious. Shes sick as a dog... weak... either Goodman is an idiot or dont really give a damn... or is this one if those facilities they are too busy to give a patient enough attention as needed. Im discussed... However, yall please pray for my Aunt. Sorry and thank you.

This office has sincerely caused me to be traumatized! The worst case of MISCONDUCT by their OFFICE MANAGER, Debbie or Deborah who acts as though she may be uneducated, unqualified or on some type of mind altering drug . She should have been fired or more than fired, she should be criminally charged. I had accepted her extremely rude behavior, and her ‘ I’m so much better than you are attitude, but then she absolutely lied! When my Dr had prescribed me a pain medicine (after my routine visit), the very rude OFFICE MANAGER lied to my pharmacy (during the prior authorization process); by telling them that I had not even been seen in that office and that I must have forged the prescription and then directed my pharmacy to tear up the prescription. WHAT?!!! How could she do that? My Dr. had definitely written that prescription!! Boy I was livid. Then she ( office manager) was able to prevent me from ever scheduling any other surgery (at all) with my Dr. I had grown close to my Dr. over the many, many years of her mans. I was now prevented from telling my Dr. exactly what she, the office manger had ACCUSED me of having done.I had been seeing Dr. Kelly VonFossen for 8+ years and she was a good Dr.She was very attentive to all of my medical needs. Initially having met Dr. VonFossen at the Emergency Room , I began seeing her on a routine basis for the chronic ulcer care at CFV Wound Care Center.Dr. Kelly relocated to FernCreek General and mailed to me a letter asking me to follow her to her new office, which I did because I have a non healing chronic leg ulcer that she was managing.I don’t have any regrets with my surgeon because she was the best!! I was very fond of her but the way I was treated by that office manager was more than ridiculous. She should have simply apologized and admitted that she was in error. That experience left me so upset, so puzzled, in severe pain and feeling thrown out, abandoned and then ignored without any explanations or an apology for the false accusations. I was just noted as ‘discharged’ by the office. Never having even been allowed to access my records from VonFossen.

The worst medical treatment I have ever received. I’ve tried to get back in from surgery 3 weeks ago and I was treated like an idiot on the phone. Very rude receptionist, interrupting and giving out medical advice. I have have to go to urgent care, the ER, (which I waited for 7 hours and left). No follow up after surgery, can’t talk to anyone but a receptionist. I’ve had complications from the surgery but no where to get help. I hope I make it to my appointment I finally got a month after my surgery. Highly discourage anyone from this practice.
