Dr. Asemota has been our familys pediatrician for 13+ years. I have found Dr. Asemota to be knowledgeable, compassionate, and efficient in diagnosing my three childrens ailments over the years. I trust him. He never makes light of my concerns and will take the time to answer any questions that I have. As a conscientious parent, I like to confirm the vaccines that my child is receiving each well-check and appreciate that the nursing staff welcome my inquiries. As for the surroundings, the waiting rooms are bright and colorful which makes my little ones feel at ease. The check-in process takes a couple minutes at the most. It can become busy during peak season (like flu time) but everyone remains upbeat and polite. The few times that Ive had to wait awhile were when we came in as walk-ins, and I know that is standard procedure as they attempt to work us in around appointments. Its convenient that the diagnostic lab is located so close to his location. Its less than a minute drive. Any time that we have had lab work done, Dr. Asemota (or one of the other Calvary doctors) will call me within 24 hrs with the results. We have private insurance and like that Angie is available to discuss any account questions that we may have. I recommend Dr. Asemota and Calvary Pediatrics.

Calvary Pediatrics is a wonderful place. When I bring my children for whatever the need is I know that the doctors and staff have only the childs interests in mind. They go the extra mile to make sure Im reminded of the appointment(s) and to assist in whatever is needed so my children feel comfortable and safe. When my kids have concerns about their bodies they eagerly listen and help them without judgment or shaming. Judge free zone!

I have known Dr. ogie for over 5 years . He has been my go to doctor for all my three kids. If you are looking for a practice where it not all about reimbursement and how much they can make from you. This is the practice to go to. Him being a Christian Doctor makes it a plus for me. If you are a parent looking for a great pediatrician. This is the practice for you.

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. My daughter was born at 25 weeks. She was 1 pound 15 ounces at birth and was hospitalized in the NICU for 5 months so you can understand why Im over protective of her. I wish I wouldnt have trusted this doctor with my precious baby. The website looked nice and the facility was clean which was more than I could say for majority of other clinics. My daughter had a routine check up at one of her milestone ages. (I cant remember exactly what month now, but I wanted to share this story) While hospitalized in Cape Fear the NICU did vaccinations up until she was released at 5 months old. When she came home they provided me with an updated shot record which I provided for the Calvary Pediatrics when I first went there. I had her father take her in for her check up while I was at work. He called to tell me that they have given her a shot that day also.. saying that she was behind on shots. Which I knew that wasnt true. They neglectfully overlooked her shot record and gave her an extra shot that was not needed. I dont feel strongly about vaccinations but giving extra? I was astounded that they would do this!I went into the office and told the front desk what happened and that I wanted to talk with Dr. Asemota.I had a nurse come out to tell me that she administered the shot and that she was right for doing it. I wasnt trying to hear it. I waited 40 minutes for him to talk with me. He didnt have anything to say. Not even an apology.. although he was sweating bullets. I filed a complaint with the Medical Board against Dr. Asemota for the neglectfulness of his staff and him. The office assistants are dim wits that are uneducated and worthless. They shouldnt even be in the office if they cant even properly keep up with records and just administer DRUGS to children randomly.Although the extra shot didnt effect my daughter (or that I know of) it scared the heck out of me. Especially since she already had medical conditions related to her prematurity. I researched for days and called many many places to ask for opinions. I also switched doctors immediately and had her checked out. Funny thing is, the new doctor that I go to used to be employed by him and told me that his practices are shady and that is why she left.STAY FAR AWAY IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILD!
