These folks at Mowell did a fantastic job for my mothers funeral preparations. Very kind. Very understanding. They took the time assist in last minute changes and amendments to her final resting place. They also work with you on payment methods. I highly recommend them. Todd, Lisa, Isabel, Mr. Mowell, Steve, Patricia, and everyone else were very helpful. You make a good decision when you go here for your loved ones.

The staff was very professional and caring. The arrangements for my wife were done quickly and with care. The celebration of life went off without a hitch. The DVD and music presentations were very good and there were many compliments from the attendees. This was not a red letter day for my family and friends but the staff at Mowell’s did their best to make it as pleasant and could be expected under the circumstances.

Everyone was kind and supportive. All my questions were quickly answered and all the service I received was excellent. I have used Mowell two times in recent years and have been happy with my experience both times.

My mother and I met with Todd, at Mowell’s, to make the arrangements for my father. They were so respectful, kind and well prepared. They made a very difficult time much easier for us and we are grateful. This was our third experience using Mowell’s and we are thankful for the services they offer.

All I will say is check other funeral home prices. Mowells was double the price. In addition to taking advantage of us with price, David was on his cell phone while family and friends waited under the tent on a rainy/windy day waiting for the funeral director to direct the funeral.

The staff at Mowell Funeral Home took such wonderful care of our family when I lost my mom. They went above and beyond to ensure her service was perfect, paying attention to every detail. I cannot begin to thank the staff at Mowell’s enough for the love and care they showed my mother and I after the loss of my sweet dad, Maj. General Jack C Wheeler. Right from the start Clint was there helping us and guiding us through the process with tenderness and respect. Then John joined to help and assisted with the most beautiful tribute video. He picked the absolute perfect songs and made sure to pay tribute to my fathers beloved Army. Everyone at my fathers visitation loved reliving and remembering the good ole’ days.The service didn’t stop there. Everyone in the office was so kind and helpful. I was shocked at how unprofessional and uncaring Mowells was, especially funeral director David Mowell. He was very cold and rude. You never expect such behavior when you walk into a funeral home. All I can think is that with over 50 years in this business it has given this family a thick skin which unfortunately for families in mourning is not what you need. I would never use this place again for any family member of mine. When you experience the death of a loved one you want people who are compassionate and caring, none of which the staff at Mowells posses.

I had a family member there and she looked awful. Her makeup was atrocious and no lipstick,no rogue, her eyelids looked gluded shut. She was so beautiful in person , to look so bad, she would have been very upset, I know we all were shocked. I had always wanted to use them and always referred them for 40 yrs, never again.

Lovely home, everyone was very respectful. Thank you for making my great grandmothers memorial services the best they could be.

Terrible experience. We were sent in the mail the wrong death certificate! When we finally received the proper death certificate it had many misspelled words. The words had strikeovers. It was a mess for an official document. They jumbled her obituary in the AJC. Relatives were left out. Nephews where grandsons. Probably the same typist of death certificates.During the beginning part with this company we sat down with a mortician to order the coffin and make funeral arrangements. Beware of this stage with this company. The prices are high and they do not refund on their bad service. The owner only gives excuses and backs up his employees mistakes. Our mother had makeup droplet on her dress. No one called to inform us so we could bring a clean dress. They just let it go. We paid $500 for her casket flowers and they did not put them in a cool location after family visitation night. They left them where the heat blew down upon them all night long and at her service they looked terrible. They played the wrong hymn at her service and when they knew it was wrong rushed into the service down the aisle handing out scraps of paper with copied lyrics of the correct and her favorite hymn. And we started over. It was very unprofessional. And painful for my family. The company of course had an excuse for the wrong hymn and for their actions. This company is a joke people. With their sappy looks and fake hugs. Flowers went missing that should have come to our home and the company could not account where they went or who took them. A man about 80 years old rolled a cart of 6 plants and vases of flowers to us. We have pictures and cards from the florists that show the great amount of love shown our mother with flowers.HERE IS THE BOTTOM LINE.MOWELL & SON FUNERAL HOME ARE NOT GOOD STEWARDS OF YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS AT THE TIME OF THEIR DEATH. THEY ARE INSINCERE. THEY ARE INSENSITIVE. THEY DO SLOPPY PAPERWORK. DO NOT PUT YOUR TRUST IN THEM OR YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY IN THEIR POCKETS.

Friendly staff, I would want my funeral here if I lived here.
