I am 45yr young. I have never worn any form of eye assistance. I went to Americas Best in Fayetteville, NC, and the Doctor, literally saw me, and walked me up front. Once i sat in the chair the rep had NO customer service skills, and My fee was over five hundred dollars. I asked him what happened to the 65 dollar special and he said it was for single wear. Then he began to tell me i need bifocals. WOW, shouldnt i have been told that from the doctor. But, They will NOT get anymore money from me and NEVER will get a referral. I will go get another exam before i spend more money at that place.

I have been going around and around with the reps from this company. I just called today and it seems as though no one is trying to give me great customer service to get me some glasses. The woman I spoke with was very nonchalant and didnt care about my question therefore I asked for the corporate number. She gave it to me and hung up.

I should have listened to the reviews I read. This place is a absolute joke of a business that will waste your time. I called days in advance to get a appointment and they have none until next month. However they said they accept walk ins as long as the doctor is in. I said will there be a doctor there on Thursday she said yes. Great to so I took off a half day from work only to get to the business and for them to say sorry we cant see you today because you have to be here at 9am to be a walk in which was never told to me. Not only did they waste my time they cost me a half days pay. Stay away from this place because the reviews are absolutely true.

I wanted contact so i can read, they gave me multfocal which were great but couldn’t read close up., so he changed my eye prescription and the woman said that I have to buy a new pair and wouldn’t apply 133.69 to 268.18 than I would’ve been able to pay the rest of 134.58 balance. She told me I had to buy a new pair these are just a sample pair which I can’t wear or do anything with them so I also em waiting for a pair of eye glasses to come in as well I will find another eye dr that will give me more for my business.

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The doctor was professional and helped me find the right contacts. The woman who works at the contacts area however I was not fond of she was rude, made comments, and when I told her about 3 times I did not want to purchase contacts, glasses or to be part of the club she got angry with me and her attitude changed. I did get my prescription yesterday but having to wait outside in the heat was terrible and then having to speak to her after my exam to leave I will not be returning back to this establishment because of her.

BAIT AND SWITCH AT ITS WORST!! Yes, they do take CareCredit, but ONLY if you spend $200. I made the appointment, confirmed, checked in, wrote my member number on my intake sheet--NO ONE SAID ANYTHING until the last possible moment. I drove from another town--close to an hour one way-spent more than an hour at the clinic had the exams, and then left without glasses!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME--BAIT AND SWITCH!!

I found my experience quite fine. Took a little longer than I thought it would, was more angry at myself I didnt bring a book to read, I had my phone with synced stuff on it, but I have awesome headphones so I couldnt use them or else Id miss them calling my name. The staff was polite and nice.

Their customer service is very rude and unprofessional especially the one in the front named Amber. I tried to get my contact prescription and she kept on saying why i couldn’t get it without a follow up, i wanted to speak to the eye doctor myself and she just kept saying that i couldn’t? Didn’t even try to go get the eye doctor or nothing! I had heard great things about this place but definitely won’t be back!

I don’t write review often but this place literally has some of the worst customer service I have seen by a business. Every time a call to order contacts they explain that they have no one in the office to take my order. The lady behind the desk takes my number down And explains I will receive a call back. This has happened 3 SEPARATE TIMES. Each time , no callback. I tried to book an appointment here as well , half the time no one answers the phone.

Right from the beginning the front desk staff was very impatient (rude). The optometrist was great and the glasses fitting great. I left satisfied. Glasses came week early. My wife accompanied me to see how the fit, when we walked in, again the front desk staff was not kind and told my wife due to COVID, if she wasn’t getting glasses, “She couldn’t be in the building.” I sat down to get the glasses as was told “I can try them on if I want too.” I’ve gotten a lot of glasses at 60, and the staff at competitors always fit my glasses and ensure everything is as ordered. Ironically I did not want to try america’s best, my wife wanted me too. Never again.Customer service matters.

We are deaf and one woman name is Heather who yell us to get my kids and another who come but too many with 6 so she yell and ask who will take eye examine and another need go outside but three kids are under 13 ages so she keep yell so have to take us out and let one deaf and one kid stay that s wrong

I read the negative reviews and was worried but its been 4 years since my last exam, noticed some vision changes and the sale on frames was a money saver so took a chance. Glad I did because I had one of the best experiences from the exam right through selecting my frames! They give you an option of 2 of the same script or splitting them. I paid the same amount of money for 1 pair of glasses (with transitions, etc) and 1 of readers, as I would for just 1 pair at another eye glass shop. I would not hesitate returning here for my next eye exam.

Save yourselves some trouble and go elsewhere. It’s been awhile since I’ve been talked down to like this. They started harassing me when I wanted to look at frames while I was waiting for my appt. The employee advised me I could not look at or try on glasses prior to my appt. and told me to take my seat. She was condescending and unpleasant, the last thing I need when I’m about to spend a lot of money. Apparently I am not allowed to look at, touch or try on glasses until I’ve been properly instructed on the COVID protocol. I thought American’s Best was a service oriented company. NOT!

I really enjoyed my visit at Americas Best in Fayetteville. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. The visit was quick, check in and see the nurse then to Dr. After that pick your glasses then check out. It was a smooth transition. Cant wait to go back and get my glasses and a pair of shades

My visit was for a contact lense exam/prescription. The blonde short-haired lady at the front desk who checked me in was so nice. The young white male optometrist that did my eye exam was really nice too. He finished in under 20 minutes. The assistant manager, an older white female, was also nice and quick at her job.My only concern is why the assistant manager was pushing my husband and I so hard to buy the $10 3-year plan they offer. Even after my husband said, no thanks, I dont want the plan. The lady was very insistent. He finally told her why he didnt want it (he is PCSing overseas in a few months) and even then she was still doubtful. My thing is no means no, the customer doesnt need to provide an explanation was to why they dont want to buy an extra service.Other than that, this place has the lowest contact lense exam fee $89. Other places start at around $120 out of pocket.

America’s Best in Fayetteville NC is top notch! From the moment you walk in the door, you’re welcomed & taken care of. This is a very busy place but that doesn’t take away from the treatment you receive! Dr. Skinner is very knowledgeable, professional & friendly. He answered all my questions.Jessica was the one assigned to help choose my glasses & get the perfect pair. I have never, in all the years I’ve worn glasses had anyone to explain all the tiny details to me. Jessica took time to explain it all! I never once felt rushed. (extremely busy office) She helped me choose the 2 perfect pair of glasses! She was very professional yet very friendly, honest & hard working & very knowledgeable.You can tell she enjoys her job immensely. This place is ghetto, unprofessional, and I have no clue how they are even thriving as a company. I have always gone to Visionworks, but I couldnt get an appointment in time, so I opted for this place. Big mistake, the staff lacks basic customer service skills, I didnt really find the doctor too warm either. I wont be back but I did get a prescription so thats that. I definitely would not recommend, unless youre shopping for a bargain and not really interested in stellar customer service.

I walked in, to just look at glasses. I was asked if I had a prescription. Yes, I do. The lady wanted to copy my prescription just so I can look at glasses. I don’t feel I should have to let someone have my prescription just to look when I don’t know if I’m goning to find something I like Once I decided I would wait to look. Customer service is not what you should expect here. Walked in and let them know I got a message about my trial contacts being ready to check fitting. Popped in and asked if it was something that they might be able to do today. Was immediately told “No!” And then got scolded for not setting an appointment to do it. A better way to approach this is, “Thanks for coming in. We would love to help you but due to our fitting schedules we need to set an appointment. I apologize for the inconvenience. Let’s set that appointment so we can get you taken care of.” After my fitting (because they are holding my prescription hostage) I will never do business with them again. I should have just waited for lens crafters like I originally planned to. Make your customers feel valued. It will ensure they come back. Now you will never have a customer going forward.

I was seen for the first time on Friday 03/26/2021 and paid ($369 for my visit plus 2 pair of glasses )the Dr told me to come back when I had a driver to have my eyes dilated. Today is Monday 03/29/2021 I called after 2pm and spoke with Krystal and asked about coming in to have my eyes dilated. I get there and it was a little after 5 and of course the office is busy so I was waiting about 10-15 mins before anyone asked to help me. I told them why I was there and Amber was rude and told me it was too late to have my eyes dilated all while she was helping another patient and then proceeded to tell me she couldn’t help me and didn’t know what else to do. Customer service today was horrible and will not be coming back.

If I could give zero stars I would. This is absolutely the worst place I’ve ever been since wearing glasses/contacts since the early 90s. I get there has to be Covid restrictions but when I say I can’t see anything because I’m fogging up the lenses and literally guessing and given the wrong prescription because of it, that’s a problem. I tried on the “new prescription” and nearly vomited and a migraine was induced instantly. I was also refused copies of my prescription and when I went back the manager said she didn’t know why that happened as it’s supposed to be printed automatically. The individual that helped me pick out frames was nice, but he couldn’t figure out how to bill my insurance. I also expressed the fact that two patients came out of the exam room with no mask on leaving me to assume that they were permitted to take off their mask for the exam and I was told that wasn’t possible. They had no issues changing a glasses prescription in which I was guessing on but left my contact prescription the same even though I never even put them in during the exam. I most definitely would never recommend this place to anyone.

I made an appt. based on the ad stating 2 pair for $69 or some such. I know Im not walking out for that amount but I was hoping to save money. No such luck, but the buying decision was mine, and I needed glasses. Make no mistake they get as much as the one hour places. My issue was I couldnt see as well number one, thought it was the new prescription and Ill adjust. Still couldnt see as well in Feb 2021, and now I need safety glasses for a new job. Completely different prescription in all aspects and much better eyesight. Ill admit I had less confidence in this doctor than my previous doctor who passed away. The worst issue is one pair I wore daily became really scratched up just from cleaning. Theyre unwearable now. I stopped in to question why and was told without missing a heartbeat must be pre-existing grime. Ive been wearing glasses since I was a child and never had this problem. I clean my glasses with 100% cotton without fail. The second pair so far no issue with scratches. The takeaway here is I had poor service, poor quality eyewear, and poor after sale service. Never again.

Horrible I went there in 2020 I couldnt see correctly from my glasses wore them for 2 weeks like I was told had bad headaches couldnt see right etc They said maybe getting my old prescription will work it was expired but they took a look at my eyes again and said I could see better off the old prescription and still said they cant do it even though now they just saw that my eyes saw better with the old prescription and than its now February of 2021 and I am sitting there for 20 mins plus just so they can give me a refund of 19.95 back saying it was 50 for the eye exam and thats nonrefundable after I spent like 70 plus on the glasses etc Americas Worst is what it should be called.Crystal the assistant manager seemed like she cared but she didnt took her 20 mins plus just for 19.95 back and Amber she was all like only 1 person can be in here if not on insurance when the front desk lady took everyones temperature like not professional they dont communicate in there and when they do its about costumers i overhead a lady speak to a different lady about how customers dont listen etcI have seen a guy work there i dont know his name but he was helpful.Dont go here not Morganton Road maybe a different location or different eye glass place all together.

Contacted them yesterday inquiring if I needed an appointment to have my eyes dialated and how much it would cost. Was told walk in and no charge. When I went for my glasses it was suggested to have it done but at the time I was driving so I said I would come back asking then was there a cost as I’m retired living on a fixed income. Was told then no charge. After dialation was completed I was informed a 30 dollar fee. After confronting them on the matter I was told because I told the Dr in conversation that I saw dots in front of my eye, then they said I was treated for it. The Dr. did nothing but look in my eyes 15 mins later, but suggested a follow up. So no treatment was done I’m being charged for him wanting to follow up in a month. Cancelled future apt. can not continue with a place with mistrust in them.

The staff was very nice, talking to you and just all around professional. They were very cautious about keeping the place sanitized due to the corona. It was a very smooth process and the atmosphere was very pleasant and I will be going back and referring them to other people.

I called this place to see what the face mask policy was and they told me that I would only have to wear one while the optometrist was conducting the exam; I wouldnt have to wear one when picking out glasses. I figured that was about the best l could hope for during the present hysteria. So I scheduled an exam and purchased two pairs of glasses afterwards. But after the glasses arrived I needed to have them adjusted and I was then told that their policy had been changed (apparently because some neurotic individual had complained). So I requested and received a full refund for my glasses. I wont patronize a business that treats us humans like bio-hazards and asks us to do things that are unreasonable or unhealthy. Wearing masks all day is not healthy. Its sad to see all the employees at ABC&E being forced to wear those things. If an employee gets sick as a result he or she should consider filing a lawsuit.

Worst customer service ever! Called months ago to set up an appointment had it scheduled for their first available evening which would be a week from now. Almost 2 months later. Just received a call attempting to reschedule because they would like to close early on Labor day. And unless I was able to come in tomorrow morning (which I can not due to working a full time job) I would now have to wait till October. I let her know that after waiting months for this appt I was rather upset and that we could not wait till October. She basically was like oh well, im sorry if you dont come tomorrow, October it is. I went in and picked up my sons prescription glasses. I needed a pair for myself as well. I was ignored and told to sit and wait while 2 of the women attended ONE woman who had just walked in. We wont be going back. I just ordered my prescription from somewhere else where the service was great. If you like to be ignored and have the staff give you nasty looks this is the place to go!!

My visit was not pleasant. First , they had half of the building without power. When I went the receptionist ignored me while i waited for someone to help me after seeing the optometrist. I have been calling to see if my trial contacts are in but they have their phones on after hours so it was hard to get a person to answer the phone. Doctor very professionally and friendly, answering all my questions and putting me at ease. Check out staff super helpful and friendly, offered other services but not pushy.

Had previously signed up for eye care club for my child. Went weeks later for scheduled appointment. The doctor was great. However when it came time to check out. Sat with this one lady and she was not trying to hear that my child was in the eye club. She started talking about a co-pay. Then She said it was to late for me to sign up for the eye care club. Then She told me the eye care club was only for contacts and not glasses. What 3rd grader wears contacts. I asked for pupillary distance measurement and she tried to charge me. They need to get rid of her. I wont go back to that location. Great way to treat your military.

Cheap is this case means horrible. This is the worse place ever. I still have yet to hear from someone after the glasses I purchased prescription was terrible wrong. Once you put on the glasses everything is slanted. My eyes have become much worse and not to mention the reason I went was so I could see when reading, still cant see when reading up close. They have yet to do anything about,no I have to go somewhere to get it corrected because my eyes are messed up badly behind this place.

I am not sure what everyone else is talking about because this was my second time going to them and both times were great. Yes there is a wait to check out because the ladies are assisting other patients in getting their glasses and giving them the time they deserve, they were polite and professional. I was in and out in about an hour and a half which included picking out glasses, screening and reading charts, actual eye exam and check out. I love the fact that they take their time checking people out because when it was my turn they did the same with me. Thank you Americas Best for a great experience and amazing prices!! The optometrist was bland, but we didn’t have to spend time with him.The reason I give this place four stars is because the woman who fitted us for glasses was rude and impatient. My mother had an appointment with then and when we got there the receptionist Amber was VERY rude and nasty to me and my mother. We walked in and Amber looked at us and did not speak, continued to say “ Who is the appointment for” asked my mom “how old was she” and because my mom was old enough I couldn’t be with her and its no food or drinks & turned her head. I left out and then she continued to be rude to my mother while I was in the car & my mother was walking to the back when she seen a caucasian couple sitting together when she asked Amber why they was allowed to be together & my daughter couldn’t be in here with me and Amber stated “Its none of your business” and my mom proceeded to ask to speak to a manger and Amber said “I bet you do” My mother left out because Amber was VERY MUCH rude and disrespectful to her. I went back in to speak to a manager and Amber told me TWO DIFFERENT stories about the managers whereabouts so I could speak to him/her about what had happened after speaking to Amber me and my mother left because we were treated VERY disrespectfully. It was very UNPROFESSIONAL & VERY MUCH a racially profile situation.

A black woman, Ettie or whatever, the mask make it hard to hear and she wouldn’t turn so I could see her name was very off putting. Cut me off before I could tell my issues with both pair of glasses I had. Then continued to respond very unapologetically to be request to have her fix them both one at a time so that I may way my toddler child who was with me. Came in and wasn’t greeted by anyone, and once deciding I was the next customer she says, “what do you need?”, companied with her demeanor, it sounded very rude for her to be a job that is customer service.

Visit there’s as a first time customer and instantly as I walked inside I didn’t like the vibe but they had an appointment and I was out of contacts ,after the Dr saw me he gave me some off brand contacts that was extremely uncomfortable I told him I cannot wear this and can I please get the contacts I’ve been wearing for the past 5 years I can see that his attitude changed as if they get commission from the company for selling those awful contacts ,I was told they would order the ones I want since I didn’t like the house brand and it takes 7-10 days to arrive on day 15 I called and left a VM no return call on day 29 I called back and inquire about my contacts to be told that it wasn’t order and the Very AWFUL CONTACTS they try to force on me before is in stock if I want those but they would have to order my contacts I told them to order 30 days prior ,so I just told them don’t I’ll use my prescription and go somewhere else ,As a first time customer THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST SERVICES TO RECEIVE I wouldn’t recommend this place to someone I dislike .and they should really stop trying to force those god awful contacts on people .I WILL NEVER RETURN AND I WILL defer many people from coming there as I can .

My prescription didnt help with distance. The manager told me to try them longer. My old glasses had correction for distance so I ended up wearing them and returned the new glasses. They wouldnt refund the exam cost, even though the prescription was wrong. Now, I have to wait a year because Americas Best wont cancel their claim unless I pay extra...for nothing. Update-we were able to get this resolved, but now I am back at square 1, making an appointment for a new exam.......

I went in for the $69.99 special which is an eye exam and 2 pairs of glasses. She was impatient and snarky and just made me feel like I was inconveniencing her.Her lack of professionalism will be the reason I purchase my frames online from now on. Did not like this place... My glasses are still not right . When back and they acted as if it just me getting use to the glasses. I still can’t see didnt our in the right prescription and glasses where super loose when picking them up not too mention that receptionist is horrible and rude. This will be my 3rd time in a month going back to them. I shouldnt have to go see the doctor each time I need something called in. If the doctor wrote his prescription right everything should be fine. Right ! Ive never had a problem with my eye doctor as many years I have been going. Of course the doctor I was seeing has retired. But, now trying to find a good doctor is my next step to do. Cause this doctor doesnt know what he is doing at Americas Best in Fayetteville. When you tell a doctor one eye is bury and other is clear . You think they would correct it. Its just Contacts Im getting ! Now, Im going back again because the Contacts are drying my eyes out. And Yes, youve got to have a appointment each time too. Not Good at all !!!

I was waiting until a I received my glasses to give a review that way I would have completed my experience. However, they just lost my business when I need new glasses. I called to see if my glasses had come in. Crystal placed me on hold. When 18 minutes and 2 seconds passed by without another word I hung up. I called back immediately. Crystal answered the phone again. She didn’t say “hold on” which indicated she was not busy. I said “Crystal you left me on hold for 18 minutes but you didn’t ask me to hold meaning you were not busy”. She said “oh, I am so sorry. How can I help you”? I was baffled and asked to speak to the manager. Her response was “I’m the only one here”. I replied “you’re the manager” shocked. She said “one of them”. I told her you left me on hold for 18 minutes and never even bothered to check for my glasses as you had to ask “how can I help you”, she said “oh goodness, I am so sorry”. This means she wasn’t busy and literally placed me on hold for nothing. She felt it was okay to waste 18 minutes of my time when I am the customer. I am completely disappointed. I figured the hold was her checking and multitasking. It wasn’t though. I was simply placed on hold because she was too lazy to actually address my inquiry. I thought the reviews were a bit harsh. No, they were accurate. When people ask me where to go as many have done upon finding out I went for glasses my suggestion won’t be “America’s Best”. That is horrible customer service!

The staff was friendly but they were pushing out patients quickly. There was no investment in the patients especially asking questions. I felt like a number and not a new patient at all. Also, they only provide one brand of contacts and did not ask me if I wanted to switch from my previous brand. Now I have wasted money on an awful contact brand and I have no way of changing back to my previous brand without having to go back or scheduling with someone else. So now I have wasted time and have to spend more money because you do not provide alternative contact brands. They could not cancel my contact order because they said it already shipped however on my account its says it is still processing.

I was dissatisfied with the check in process. The shift supervisor would not listen to me about how to verify the out of network plan. In addition she demonstrated lack of professionalism and a poor attitude. The eye test technician, Dr., and fitting technician were fine.

Customer Service was very disappointing during our visit yesterday evening. I believe the person that saw us (not help) was Jessica. I can only describe her as an elderly Caucasian lady with glasses up front. My parents and I are visiting out of town and decided to come here because a friend referred us. After yesterday, I’m sorry but we will not being doing business there. We felt very disrespected. She was very rude by making smart remarks and speaking to us like we’re “dumb”. She throws out all the information and expected us to know the products. My dad asks about the products politely and it just seemed like we were being rush out because she didn’t want to take care of us. I understand everyone has their bad days or maybe that’s just how she is. I don’t want to assume anything else. I hope no one else encounters this kind of customer service here. It took a lot for me to actually take time and write this review. This is how disappointed I am. It’s one thing to disrespect me, I can brush it off. It is extremely disorganized. Their cleanliness is lacking. After your exam you have to wait “your turn” even if you aren’t choosing eyeglasses. Why should I have to wait after 3 people contemplate over and choose their eyeglasses to leave? They need a steady check-in and check-out but it seems like the check in girl also takes care of walk ins who get seen BEFORE the ones who have appts. I would not recommend. I’m going to save a little extra just to go somewhere better next time.

First time customer. Wanted to check it out since is one of my eye plan choices, the worst idea ever. Eye pre- check + eye exam took less than 20 minutes but.... them they place you in a waiting time to see the glasses sale person even if you’re not getting any because they them put you information in the system and charge you co-pay and any other extra service. Ridiculous waste of time just to tell them you’re not buying any, just paying for your visit.Will not go back again!!!!

I overlooked these reviews and still went to this location!!! I thought I would give it a try! But i was wrong! This place from the moment you walk in it till you step out the door its a mess! The staff seem like they dont really care about anything! They are all over the place!! And please have someone who knows how to work a computer!! It took them 15 min to pull up info!! Yesterday I had an eye exam, its been a good 10+ years...but, after seeing the deal at Americas Best Contacts & Eyeglasses (Fayetteville, NC) I ran out of excuses...I got an exam and 2 pair if single vision glasses for $69.95. They even let me get one pair for driving (distance) and one pair for reading/painting (close up) as I am far sighted in one eye and near sighted in the other. For a little more I could have got bifocals, but I would rather switch pairs...I was in and out in an hour! Dr. Skinner was friendly and professional. I picked out two cute frames from a wide selection in my price range and Vickie was very friendly and answered all my questions knowledgeably. Really Great Experience!

Call to make sure they have an optometrist available before going here. Also if they give you a copy of your prescription make sure that it is with dark enough ink for you to see it. I appreciate the more affordable price however not being able to get my frames that I purchased online filled with the company has caused a bit of an inconvenience for me. I hope they change this policy soon so that I can continue to come here. Had a quick and successful exam for glasses and contacts other than that. Purchased some contacts. Very friendly and efficient.

This place is the absolute worst! Absolutely horrible customer service. I just experienced a total loss in a house fire. I called them a day after the fire and had to beg them to give me a temporary set of disposable contacts to get me through until I could make it in for my contact exam. They blatantly refused. Not only did I just lose everything I own, but I had to resort to begging for them to help me, only for them to refuse. A week later I went for the exam and they were ordering my contacts, or so I thought. I had a gut instinct that they had not. I called today, exactly 1 week later to check on the status and my gut was correct. They had never ordered the contacts and now are giving me the run around about what they are going to do about it. I will never step foot in this store again.

I just left this place. Upon arriving I was told that since I was returning to just go look at frames. Maybe 10 minutes later (which is pretty fast) they called the person I was with to the back which I thought was odd because I knew my appointment was before theirs. I asked if there was any other information that they needed from me because I knew my appointment was before the person they called back. I was basically told to just sit down and I’ll get called soon. Then they called someone else back that wasn’t me. Now I’m irritated. The person I’m with whose appointment was after mine is now done with his exam and picked out his frames. Now they decide they’re going to ask me when’s the last time I’ve been there. I say 2012, but not this location. She walks away as I’m saying “not this location” and comes back with a form 3 minutes later asking me to fill it out. NO THANK YOU! The person I’m with is done. It’s time to go. They are unorganized and unprofessional. They took really good care of my friend so that’s why they get two stars. My situation could be an isolated situation. 🤷🏿‍♀️

First time there about 2 wks ago and I received immediate service and Vickie was not only accommodating, but knowledgeable about her products. She answered every question I had and showed examples. Shes the perfect rep for an eyeware company; she can also factor in the personality of a frame and thats important to me, not only do I want to see, but glasses are a main part of a look and shes on target with that aspect. She also took my glasses and cleaned and tightened them as a courtesy and thats called customer service. I really appreciate this place compared to where Ive been before, and I will be back.

I went in the Fayetteville NC store to get the arm on my glasses tighten. The person working on them broke the arm off & they couldnt be fixed. She had to email the warehouse to see if they still had my frame available. After a couple of hours of not hearing anything, I called back.. was on hold 5 minutes before I hung up. I called back & asked for the manger. She said oh no one called you back? I said No thats why Im calling. I was told they were expediting the new frame..it would be here in about a week. REALLY a week & I need my glasses to see. So I was offered a loaner pair. They were ugly but I needed to see. I called corporate and they were just as bad. I was told they dont use next day service from FedEx or UPS.. I said well you need to. How can you say expedite and it takes a week?! All I needed was the frame. Customer service is as bad. I was waiting next was skipped over like I wasnt even there. I dont recommend Americas Best & will not buy another pair of glasses there again.

Last year had a good experience. This year as a returning customer, not so good. Had my appointment with the doctor and it was actually good, didnt wait very long. Came to the front and Ashley was the person who worked with me. My insurance only lets me get new frames every 2 years and when asked had I picked out new frames I said no I want to use the old ones. She looked at them and immediately said these are not our frames. I said I purchased these last year from Americas Best. No maam theyre not our frames she said again. Again I said very patiently yes they are. Another associate was close by and she also, upon being called over by Ashley said these are not our frames. At that point I was extremely frustrated, tired of being called a lier, said to them tell me how much I owe you and I will pay you, then go somewhere else to get my glasses. And by the way if you would have looked at my file before you called me a liar you would have seen I purchased those frames here last year. Was not appreciative of the fact that two of your employees flat out called me a liar and didnt bother to even check my file as a returning customer. Dont worry, you will not have to worry about me and my frames which I did purchase from you, again. Also, I was at the Fayetteville, NC location, and would suggest that instead of reaching out to the customer as you have said in all the previous complaints, you reach out to the employees for some training. Just a suggestion.

Definitely can use better customer service at the front desk. I confirmed my co pay a few times over the phone , the young lady at the front had an attitude. She was didnt even bother to look through to insurance properly, she just came to me and said your insurance dont cover the visit. I told her I clearly asked and it was confirmed my insurance was accepted here . I was upset I took the paper ripped it and walked out. It took another young lady to call me after I left to confirm my coverage again. Horrible I probably wont visit here again, the one in Atlanta wasnt like this . Just rude !

Customer service and a willingness to do work can use improvement. We had the glasses shipped to this location. We checked to see if they were received. We were told on multiple days that they had not yet arrived, despite the tracking information indicating that they were received the day after they were shipped. It took the sending location to confront them over the phone before they looked and found the glasses.(When my daughter stated that the glasses were a little snug, the tech proceeded to bend them... at the joint. So now am also concerned about them breaking prematurely.)

Sale ad is misleading. Horrible customer service at front desk. They advertise two pairs of glasses with free eye exam for $69.95. BUT here’s how they get you... you have your eye exam first (which btw doesn’t include two tests that are an extra $20 if you want them) then they have you pick out your frames but not all their glasses qualify for the $69.95 deal. Even though their website was advertising their “premium” glasses for the same price. At that point you either have to buy glasses or pay for the eye exam. So you find the frames you’ll settle for and sit down with an employee who tells you the $69.95 is for basic lenses and you really need to pay for at least the scratch proof coating or the lenses will scratch immediately and they won’t warranty them unless you do this. So after it was said and done I chose one frame on sale, one “premium” frame and got the scratch resistant lenses. It cost me $170. Then they inform me it’ll be approximately two weeks before I get my glasses.It’s really kind of a scam. They should tell people the whole deal up front.Also, Nancy, if that is your real name, you need to find something less generic to say in reply to these negative reviews. Doesn’t seem very genuine when you basically say the same thing each time. I’ll save you the time- no, there’s nothing you can do to make it up to me unless you’re willing to give me some of my money back. No, I don’t need the email address where I can contact you (got it from your many replies below), and I’m already aware of the information I would need to include in the email such as the location, and no offense but I highly doubt you’d contact me as soon as possible. The customer service of the assistant manager is unbelievably horrible at the Fayetville location. She is extremely rude to customers. I do not recommend America’s best to anyone. You think your getting a deal for two pairs of glasses but the select glasses of that deal don’t fit adults or teenagers properly and the service is unbelievably bad. I have emailed and called corporate with no response as well as calling the location with zero satisfaction as a paying customer.

I went and seen the doctor was quick convenient everything went good went to get my contacts and my glasses they were very impatient when picking out my glasses told me I just need to hurry up and pick some out I ordered contacts for 6 months when I call back to fill the rest of the script she told me that was no way possible I have to come back in and do a complete eye exam it doesnt matter of the prescription was wrote for a whole year its not her fault I did not order a whole year or contact so I just need to get over it and come in and redo the whole eye exam and everything and learn to order my contacts the proper way I have always use Americas best but I to have always gone to raleigh but I went to the Fayetteville office I thought would be easier for me to go to the Fayetteville office this time and I had the worst experience with this office Ive never been treated with such disrespect it wasnt disrespect only to me it was disrespect to my hearing impaired husband horribly unacceptable

Stopped in last week to have my very first prescription filled. I have a pair of reading and bifocal glasses coming for $81 after a 10% military discount. Staff was great. They get really busy, so do not expect to just walk in and be next. Do your research before you go and all will be fine. I will return. I have a feeling that most of th poor reviews may be partially the consumers fault.

I called last month to make an appointment and was told they didnt have any available appointments or the schedule for May so i needed to call back the 1st of May. I called back May 2nd and was told they didnt have a doctor and to call back to try and schedule an appointment. Well i called today and was told they still dont have a doctor and dont know when they will have one so it was better for me to go to Raleigh. Why be open for business if you dont have a doctor to provide services???? Please do better!!

My husband choose Americas Best bc our kids have it. During one of their appts he asked Dr. about his situation. He is a OTR driver so he isnt home a lot. The question was, Will he be able to get in same day when his contacts came in. Dr. said yes, just call ladies and we can take care of you the same day. For 45 days we have called several times and either no contacts or they cant get us in. Mind you, my husband asked twice - once during childs appt and one during his appt. Now they are telling him bc his prescription is 45 days old, he has to have a whole new eye exam!! This on top of us previously opting in for their 3 yr program and then them NOT HAVING A DOCTOR for almost 2 years. I had to go to another Dr. during this time bc my child was up for a new prescription. We paid for plans but believe me we are NOT renewing. They just lost my family (4) and my nieces (5) renewals.
