Love this office! Every time we go it’s less than an hour appointment. Everything is wiped down and sanitized according to COVID 19 standards. My kids have been seen by Dr Young and he is amazing with them. They also love the employees who work the front desk and Dr Young’s nurse is very good as well. We will always come to this location. Thanks for taking great care of my family’s needs.

I was referred to this office by urgent care. My entire visit was less than 10 minutes, I was not asked about my work history or anything that could have contributed to the issue with my ear besides ear wax! Thank goodness I went for a second opinion and found a phenomenal Doctor WHO ACTUALLY TOOK THE TIME and now my ear is on the road to healing!

My 1 year old had a post-op appointment with Dr. Hood at the Fayetteville office. The office is an hour from my home. I was going to be 30 minutes early, but was caught up in a traffic accident on Grady Ave, about 8 minutes out from the office. I called to inform the office that we were going to be about 10 minutes late to the appointment due to the accident. My husband and I both took off work to take my daughter, since I am 8 months pregnant. Once arrived, they wanted to reschedule our appointment and told us that they had taken another patient back during my daughter’s appointment time. My husband and I both were highly annoyed after sitting in traffic, driving an hour, and informing the office that we would still be there when we heard her appointment needed to be rescheduled. My husband got loud, but stayed respectful about it. He just wanted the doctor to see our daughter due to her ears bothering her after a recent tube procedure. We ended up arguing with about 6 receptionists while the doctors hid behind walls. No one communicated with the doctor that we were still coming to the appointment. The receptionists acted like wild animals with no home training. One with a mole on her forehead threatened “my a**” (whatever that means). I am obviously very pregnant, so that should explain how these animals were acting. They asked us to leave, in which we did not because they are only receptionists. Finally the doctor said he would meet me in the parking lot for a quick check up. He never apologized for how his team acted and I didn’t expect him to. I will never be back to this office unless I feel like driving an hour to see the zoo animals they have working there.

Review №12

Due to the lack of audiologists in our area, I relied upon family to recommend someone. THIS is the place. We needed this all to be done remotely, which Ms. Lanson, Lindsay, assured us was almost as good as coming into the office. We emailed Lindsay a hearing test performed at a big-name brand that was offering a free hearing test. Lindsay used those results to give us a number of choices based upon my husbands daily situation. Work in an office? Dine out often? Have regular large family gatherings? Everything was taken into consideration. Once the choice was made, Lindsay ordered the hearing aides, had them sent to her office to program them and then sent them directly to us, along with different choices of in-ear buds and wire-lengths to ensure the perfect fit. Lindsay then visited with my husband in an hour-long session, first by telephone and then on line, via the app that comes with the your purchase, fine tuning the hearing aides, explaining all of the features and ensuring he understood how to best use those features, such as the Blue Tooth connection with your phone. My husband could not be happier. First, they are much smaller than ones were were shown at that other place. You have your choice of colors so that little tiny ear piece blends in with your hair color. The wires that go into the ear with the earbud attached are clear. I really couldnt see the hearing aide at all, until my husband said he was wearing them and showed them to me. I had to look closely to see them! They are fully rechargeable, so no batteries to buy. That means there is no battery door to break and no fiddling with those itty bitty batteries, which can be difficult when someone has arthritis or is visually-challenged.And his hearing...he should have done this ages ago! The TV volume has gone from 30 to 8, I dont have to repeat myself constantly and he doesnt have to guess, often wrongly, at what I actually said. I know that he doesnt feel quite so isolated because he cant hear everything that is being said. All in all, we couldnt be happier with the results! We both highly recommend ENT of Georgia South-Fayetteville. I imagine your in-house visit will be just as good, if not better, as our remote experience. Thank you Lindsay!

I was referred to Dr. Hood by my PCP. I had not met him before. I have seen him two times. As well I have seen 2 Audiologists at the ENT of Georgia South-Fayetteville office. I have had positive experiences with any doctor my PCP refers me too. I was not disappointed in Dr. Hood. I had a good experience with both Dr. Hood and any staff I interacted with in person or on the phone. I felt as though both Dr. Hood and the 2 Audiologists I saw there saw me as a person, not treating me as though I was exactly like the last patient, or exactly like the last patient with the same symptoms. Dr. Hood was patient, listening to my problems that sent me to him, as well as checking the audiologist reports and my current medications. After offering suggestions, he wanted to see me back in 6 months to see if the symptoms had resolved. Since they hadnt he did an exam, again listened to my explanation of symptoms and compared both hearing tests on the second visit he offered a diagnosis based on what he could see and what I told him. His explanation was helpful and his suggestions I know are good as I had a similar experience over 23 years ago. I was of course, not glad to hear it was the same thing in the other ear, but he had a comforting way of explaining to me based on what he saw it was not likely it would cause extreme or complete hearing loss. That was good news to balance the diagnosis. I would recommend Dr. Hood to anyone who needs his specialty. I feel like it was a positive experience. Dr. Hood was professional but still kind and compassionate. I will definitely see him again if needed.

My echonoligst and Dr Hood keep each other updated since one has to get one issue under control... Wonderful wonderful doctor and would tell everyone to see him if they need to see a ENT doctor... I have been to Dr. Hood before and called recently to set up an appointment. The young lady who answered the phone informed me that there were new prices . Instead of the usual 125 dollars for the visit and cleaning of both ears,it is now 150 dollars for the visit and 40 dollars per ear. So much for a discount for self pay. Now for almost double the amount I will find an alternative. Its hard to believe that for the same services as before they are now double the price.

I was very impressed with the professionalism and care I received from Dr. Paul and Nurse Kailey (sp?). In fact, Dr. Paul may have the finest bedside manner Ive experienced in all of my 62 years. This started with him introducing himself simply as Paul rather than condescendingly addressing me by my first name while introducing himself as Dr. so and so as so many physicians do. His analysis was spot-on and Im doing much better thanks to his care and medical talent.Notwithstanding all of that, Ill probably not return to this office because of hostility directed toward me by one of the registration clerks: I was given a tablet to register as a new client by the clerk in question. The section on ethnicity is something I didnt want to disclose and I couldnt find any method of omitting it. I asked for her help and possibly a paper application but she told me it was not possible and that I had to provide it. I then told her that Im a non-hyphenated American and that my race shouldnt matter (Ive since learned that this may have an effect on procedures and medication). I asked for a supervisor but she didnt find one for me. Im actually of Spanish descent but decided to put down Asian or something arbitrary. I then told her that in honoring my wonderful African-American friends Id put that down. She immediately scolded me and told me I was being disrespectful, her being of that race. I realized that was I said might have been construed as such so, although I thought she could have responded more professionally, I gave her the benefit of the doubt. The primary issue was when I returned to the window to return the tablet. I told her that I figured out how to omit race to which she glared at me and called an associate over to take the tablet, telling her that she couldnt serve me. I mentioned this to both Nurse Kailey and Dr. Paul. Dr. Paul wants me to come for a return visit which I was prepared to do until leaving the office. I glanced back at the clerk area, intending to smile and wave but found this clerk with arms folded and a major scowl on her face, staring me down. I dont know that Ive ever had anyone give me such a dirty look.I hope that you can understand where I dont want to be met with such hostility when visiting a doctors office so Ill regrettablly be going elsewhere for ENT services.Sincerely yours,Ralph Trapaga
