I have been to a lot of dentists but my experience with Dr. Freij today was exceptional, he made sure I was numb and felt comfortable the entire time! His office staff is super friendly, they really welcome you and make you feel like family!!! I won’t go anywhere else, I think I found my hero!

Up until today I would have rated SFD a 5. I have been bringing my sons for years and most recently began going myself. They have always been very kind and professional. However, and I can not stress this enough do not bring your kids here. The last time my kids were in for an exam/cleaning was in February 2020. Upon them taking my then 7 year old back, I told them he had complained of left upper tooth pain roughly a week earlier. Once the exam was completed they informed me that “everything looked fine”. I even specifically asked if they saw anything in the area he complained about.... the response was “no, nothing”. Today I had to sit through my son having to get not one but two teeth extracted due to both having an abscess and the cavities being too large to repair. One of the teeth extracted was the one he complained about that was mentioned at their last appointment, again, roughly two months ago. The pediatric dentist that performed the extractions said these cavities had to have been there for well over a year. My boys are seen regularly by SFD. I do NOT understand how this could have possibly not been seen and treated/ filled so that he could have avoided this traumatic experience. He never complained of pain except that one time and him being in my lap earlier this week laughing is what led me to see one abscess, the other one was discovered at his appointment today by X-ray. However, upon me noticing the abscess and looking around in his mouth both cavities were partially visible with my naked/untrained eye. Thankfully the teeth extracted are not permanent teeth however they are upper molars on opposite sides. So now he has to wait without those molars for approximately 2 years before his permanent teeth erupt. Please take your children somewhere else. Regular checkups SHOULD catch things like this. Unfortunately, and at an 8 year olds expense... this was not.

The best dentists you will ever find!I have tried plenty of dentists and never had good luck. I was referred here, and it has been great since the first visit.I was actually very anxious to go to the dentist and had not been in 8 years prior to my first visit here. If I had only know how good it could be, I would not have waited so long! They made sure to not be critical of my choices but understanding, and ready to do what I needed to get my care back on track.All of the staff is genuinely welcoming and very nice. The hygienists and dentists are great. They are very patient and have no problem explaining anything. They always have time for my questions and we regularly have great conversations.Call them, you wont regret it!

My husband and I moved to Farmington Hills a few years ago from Toledo, Ohio for an employment opportunity. We found Superior Family Dental through our insurance. From the moment we walked in the door, until we walked out after our appointment was completed, the entire staff was welcoming, kind, and just all around wonderful! We got in the car and told each other we would never find another dentist. Ever. ..and then it happened. We were transferred back to Toledo, Ohio. We were forced to find all new doctors yet again, and hated every bit of it. When it came around to the 6 month cleaning time we couldn’t bring ourselves to do it with the dentist as well. So we didn’t. We still, to this day, make the hour and a half trip every 6 months to see some of our favorite people! We will forever take the trip to Superior Family Dental!

Great crew! Front office so nice and efficient, hygienist- Nicole is friendly, gentle and really makes me comfortable. Both DRS are great and do excellent work (best bedside manners). Definitely high recommendation from me. Love the team there.

Seemed to be good operation. Not good if an emergency occurs and appointment needs adjusting. Will charge $35 dollars if emergency occurs and appointment needs to be adjusted.If your job keeps you hopping,.. avoid this office. Couldnt discuss charge with anyone; no call back!!!

I love this dentists office. Everyone in the family is happy going here. You cant go wrong with either doctor, Boogren or Freij. I happened upon them when I moved into the area, and Im glad that I did. Their facility is super-clean; the staff is efficient and friendly and they very accommodating.

Best dentists ever, clean, and committed to helping you save your natural teeth (hey, they work with hockey players, theyve seen the worst!!!) My insurance coverage was not that great and Tina did her best to work with me to allow me to get the work I needed completed and were generous enough to help me work out a payment plan.

I personally have had some misfortune in selecting prior dental offices over the years. I am extremely thankful that they just happened to be down the road from me and I found them on pure proximity alone. What a wonderful group of people from the folks at the front desk, the hygenists and my personal DDS Randy Freij. They take such great care in explaining everything and make sure you know what your cleaning/procedures/billing/etc entails...Just a great team all around.

By far and hands down the best dental office Ive ever been to. Love the staff, the hygienists, and the doctors. Dr Jeff Boogren is phenomenal and so is Dr Freij.My whole family goes there and we will not even think about visiting a different place.

My 2.5yr old sons 1st dental appointment was here.I was a bit apprehensive because as much as one would expect a toddler to be, he does not take very well to sitting still or brushing his teeth -let alone strangers prying around in there.But what we were met here with was a pleasant, patient, gentle and caring staff and dentist.I was also impressed with the cleanliness and overall aesthetics of the environment.This office was by no means local for us either but it has been worth its travels.Also, on an odd note: I tend to believe that neglected bathrooms are one indicator to the general integrity of that business.That being said SFD has a pretty exceptional bathroom lol :)
