All the staff at Dr. Shems office are so wonderful. They explain everything in such great detail that we never leave with any questions. It’s clear how much they care about their patients. They speak right to my daughter, making her feel so comfortable and involved. Her teeth are GORGEOUS now, which of course is an added bonus! We love this office.

Shes bubbly, and sweet. Her orthodontistic plan for my daughter is well thought out and even though we dont need braces today, she has a timeline for the future. She doesnt rush her decision to commit to braces, if they are not truly needed.

Absolutely amazing team. Everyone is so kind and involved with your child and you. They explain everything and make sure that both your child and you understand the importance of braces and the process your child will go through. Both my kids need different orthodontic care, and they were very nervous in the beginning of the visit. I have to say I was very impressed with how our visits went. Dr. Shems is amazing. She is so fantastic with my kids, and obviously loves her job. The office staff has always been extremely helpful with my questions, and the office is kept clean and sanitized.

Very disappointed. The estimate for my treatment was 20-24 months. Dr. Shems took me off the braces in 20 months even though appointments were cancelled during COVID lock down. Moreover, the teeth were still competing for the space. My teeth moved badly quickly. My bite is uncomfortable and I hurt myself when eating.I find the place disorganized. Metal parts were forgotten in my mouth on several occasions. The assistants were providing me with false information. One of them said I would be in braces for 24 months. Another said that they would not take the braces off if I were not happy with my bite - they took them off anyway. In addition, I had troubles obtaining my medical and payment records.

We highly recommend Dr. Shems and her staff. Everyone is pleasant, friendly, and efficient. We look forward to our office visits.

Dr. Shems is AMAZING! She is intelligent, kind and committed to providing you with the corrective measures that meet your individual needs. I had some minor shifting of teeth from not replacing a lost retainer years ago. As an adult ortho patient it was important that I find an orthodontist that was experienced with adult patients and our unique needs. I interviewed another local orthodontist and was very disappointed in the overall experience. I am so grateful I didnt give up and decided to reach out to Dr. Shems and her team. As soon as I had my initial phone interview I knew that I found what I was looking for. As I mentioned above it was minor cosmetic correction and Dr. Shems dedicated a significant amount of time in our initial appointment consulting me on several treatment options that would be available depending on the outcome, treatment option and cost that I would be comfortable with. I truly was part of the consulting process and felt really good about the limited Invisalign treatment option that met both my aesthetic and financial needs. I started my treatment pre-covid and ended treatment during covid. The office handled the utmost vigilance in communicating with patients regarding the need to pause treatment until they were able to implement appropriate safety protocols for both their employees and their patients. Even before covid, Dr. Shems had implemented modern technology into their day to day operations, text message reminders and scheduling options at the point of care are just two of the small standards that were part of their day to day operations pre-covid that made the overall shift in new covid protocols to be accomplished in a timely and safe manner.At the end of the Invisalign treatment, Dr Shems was not satisfied with a small imperfection and instead of just ending the Invisalign treatment she was dedicated to making sure there was not even the slightest imperfection. No one would have ever known that there was a slight imperfection but Dr Shems valued that they were perfect, even if it was only her eyes that could tell the difference! I find this quality of service to be even more exceptional considering the limitations and costs that are being added to every business that is open for business right now. It would have been far easier for Dr. Shems to end my treatment and move onto her next patient but instead she invested more time and an in-house treatment option to make sure my teeth were not only perfect to everyone elses eyes but to her eyes! I think this speaks volumes to not only her character but the integrity and quality of the team she has cultivated at her practice.
