Absolutely will use them again. I was impressed and pleased with their responsiveness, quality of work, cleanliness, attitude, friendliness, timeliness. They came when they said and did an awesome job.

Following an accident where a tenant put her heel through a porch step in the back of the house, a gorgeous structure dating to the 1880s, requested Mr. Handyman come out and, simply, replace those three aged steps and small porch with Trex materials, to match our other porches. A Mr. Handyman technician came out on the 6 May, replaced the steps and porch floor (with a material other than Trex), making it functional, but due to materials shortages, he was unable to finish the details of the porch flooring patterns. The technician told me he would come back later, when materials had come in, to finish the job. We were billed $811 at this time. Time passed into August, and on the 6th a second technician (the first had left the company in the meanwhile) came to finish the job. While cutting the flooring for the necessary repairs, his saw cut a screw, sending out sparks which landed on the dry wood of the porch and started them smoldering. The technician smothered the fire with a chemical agent, worked a bit more, and then left to get some parts at the hardware store. He left not knowing the fire had not been fully extinguished.Sometime shortly after that, a completely serendipitous visit by the second tenant in that apartment who had a reason to come back home and saw . . . flames beginning to consume the porch. As a former volunteer fire man, our tenant fortunately knew how to proceed, realizing that only water would stop the smoldering flame. Acting quickly, the porch -- and house -- was saved. When firemen arrived shortly thereafter, they felt it necessary to check the interior, to make sure flames were not spreading inside the walls. Fortunately, this was not the case -- only the porch had sustained damage.Let me summarize: We asked Mr. Handyman to fix a porch, and you very nearly burned down the house!Your efforts to repair the damage produced an unsightly mess that now mars that porch. For this you charged us an additional $600. i paid those bills, honorably but foolishly, for by doing so i am reduced to pleading with Mr. Handyman for a more just resolution than charging us more than $1400 to perform perfunctory repairs, nearly burn down the house, and repair the work in an amateurish manner. i wrote an email to this end a week ago, and have not received any response.Come spring, we will get our normal carpenter, he will fix all the repairs done by Mr. Handyman, it will cost a pretty penny, and i will sit and dwell on the lesson i have learned. The perceptive reader will be able to figure out what that lesson is.

I had a sink I wanted refastened on a house I recently bought. The guy was really nice but talked the majority of the time. He used a couple plastic shims and caulked around the tub of the sink and charged me 300 bucks for being here two hours. I could of easily caulked the sink myself.

I had a heavy cellar door remounted. The handyman arrived on the appointed time. He evaluated the installation and proceeded to jack up the door and move it back on the hinges and insert the pins back in place. He also attached a metal strip that had come loose at the bottom of the door. Overall an excellent and efficient job well done.

They responded to my inquiry very quickly and had someone out right away. They had great knowledge about the best way to achieve what I was trying to - which was cover the insulation on my basement ceiling. They talked me through what the best option might be and came out the same day to get the project done and it looks great.

Needed screen repair. Communication was ongoing and timely. Steve was personable and skillful. I paid way more than if I had been able to do it myself, but the job was well done, and hourly chargewas announced up front!

The team at Mr Handyman were professional and Dan the technician did a great job. I had a variety of jobs that I needed completed at a rental property and Dan was able to complete them all. I also received very good feedback from my tenants. I had drywall installed, repaired and painted, stair risers put in and a few other jobs. Not only was the job well done, I really appreciated their admin and scheduling side. I could trust that the technician would turn up when they said he would and that he would complete all the work. As I now live out of state I will continue to use Mr Handyman to help me maintain my property.

Mike installed a bathroom ceiling vent and heater in a tight space that required some significant adjustments. He was on time, very professional, did an excellent job, cleaned up all materials afterwards, and left the house in as neat a condition as when he arrived. And the new fan works great. I would call Mr. Handyman in a heartbeat for any job that I dont have the time to get to, or dont feel comfortable doing myself. Extremely satisfied!

Had them install a window into the large hole where an AC unit had been. They did a fantastic job inside and out. Had a large hole in my drywall they repaired and you would never know there was a patch. Great people who can answer your questions and handle almost any job. Prices are reasonable for the quality of work they perform.

Aaron was great! He was on time and he did a couple of necessary repairs. He took before and after pictures of the areas I couldn’t see (roof, attic). My Handyman was easy to work with and even sent me an email with the name and pic of my Handyman so I could recognize him. I would definitely use them again!

I HIGHLY recommend Mr. Handyman and its handymen. Patrick, my handyman, went above and beyond the call of duty in his efforts to figure out why one of my lights wasnt working and performed a number of other tasks around the house quickly and efficiently.

Service tech Paul Vaillancourt was wonderful. He did an outstanding job installing 2 large windows in our cellar. I would warn that when you have your estimate done, make sure the rep knows exactly what you want. I assumed he knew we wanted the same size windows on each side, but the existing windows were measured instead of the rough opening, so I ended up with 2 different sizes. Not exactly what I wanted, but Paul made it look great anyway. I would and have recommended Mr. Handyman and wouldnt hesitate to call them again if needed.

I had a double window blow out in a storm. Although they were booked, Handyman found a way to get a technician to my house within hours because they understood the emergency. My expectation was to get it boarded up until we could fix it properly on another day — but the technician was very kind and smart — and able to repair the window good enough to make it secure for a temporary fix! They were so easy to deal with. The gentleman who came to the house was polite, installed the bathroom vanity, always made sure to close the door behind him as I have pets that run. He asked questions and made sure I knew what he was doing. He did a great job and the vanity looks perfect. He cleaned up everything and didn’t leave a trace. Highly recommend

I am very pleased with the service, quality of work and the price charged.

We used this company to patch up a shifting crack in our vaulted ceiling. The company was very responsive and the handyman that came was nice and professional... it was a job that required two partial days... but the second day he seemed like he may have been rushing. I do take some responsibility as I didn’t realize the shortcomings until after he left... He came out late in the day (and 45 mins after planned) and left our high wall messy. There are also multiple places on the ceiling that he used a lot of excess putty and didn’t smooth the area. We will have to sand that off now prior to painting. Though these are both minor annoyances...we were mostly upset by the actual charges on the bill. Total work time for this project was less than 2 1/2 hours and we were charged $460 in total (which included a $26 charge for materials which I am guessing was the putty). Though they say they charge partial time after the first hour- the math didn’t seem like it added up in our case... as he was only there 20 mins into the second hour... they told us that there was time added for restocking the van... which I guess I didn’t realize would be on our bill. Sadly, unless I really needed a handyman for an immediate emergency, I wouldn’t use this company again..

We hired Mr Handyman to ready out house for market. Their work was stupendous! The workman, Steve, was always open about what he was doing and what needed to be done. He was creative in solutions, conscience of time restraints and cost, and always on time.

Update on 7/24/2019-Do NOT use. 6 mos after installing towel rod- one side became detached from wall. The tile repair in 2nd floor shower- water now coming through my ceiling into my living room. Better Business Bureau will be getting a full description of this experience. They charge $90 an hour. I have since spoken to other handyman with just as much experience that do just as good quality work, that charge less than $40 an hour. I was in sticker shock when I got the bill and truthfully was expecting something $300 less. I’m sure this will elicit a snarky remark such as well you knew what you were getting into we quoted you the prices etc. etc. I get all that. What I don’t like is price gouging. I will not hire this company again because of that.

Tracy & Aimee are a professional, accommodating team. They have been there for me while dealing with a difficult condominium President. Yes I will absolutely call for future needs as well as I reccomend them as opportunities arise.If I could give them 10 **********s I would.

Hired first to help with bat problem-5 stars on that job!...then hired for crown molding instal for 2 medium sized rooms,nails were sticking out and one seem was in the worst place and popped out-they would not work with me and way overcharged.good for bats in the belfry--bad for crown

My neighbor found these guys. We have a stockade fence and 7 of the posts were rotting out. Tracy was very professional. He was prompt, communicative and his final price was within 5% of his quote. His crew did a great job. They were courteous and they were conscientious. They made a point of cleaning up and explaining what they did that day and what they were going to do the next day. I highly recommend Mr. Handyman for all those jobs that youve been putting off for lack of knowing a decent contractor.

I was given a low ball estimate to get the job; I had prepped my house and day they arrived to do the work they doubled the quoted price. It felt unethical and that I had been backed into a corner. Was it because I was a single woman, I dont know but I felt taken advantage of. I would NEVER recommend this outfit based on lack of ethics and professionalism. I did not have them do the work so cannot comment on skill.

I was overcharged for materials and cannot get anyone to return calls. Finally had to dispute the charge with AMEX. Make sure you get a receipt and receipt for items needed for the repair.
