My first appointment was in November 2020, for major lower back pain—which my doctor had diagnosed sciatica. She recommended weekly physical therapy but the experience wasnt great and it was super expensive—Id actually leave in more pain than when I arrived and became fearful of having any body parts crack.Someone recommended I look into a chiropractor and I found Lifeworks. I love Dr. Powers approach—shes gentle yet I always leave feeling better than when I arrived. The entire staff at Lifeworks goes above and beyond to make every visit a great one. Its super clean, theres calming music, and beautiful artwork on the walls. Biweekly visits are now part of my regular routine. Im so grateful to have found Lifeworks!

The entire staff at Lifeworks is friendly, professional and caring. Not only is Dr. Powers a wonderful chiropractor, she is also a great person and someone you will look forward to spending time with. It doesn’t hurt that they also have an amazing massage therapist (Robin) on staff who will change your idea of how healing a massage can be. In the time I have been seeing them, my whole physical being has shifted for the better. If you are in pain, they can help and help for the long run. I no longer have back pain the way I once did, which is miraculous in its own right. I don’t know a ton about the science of chiropractic care, but I know I will be enjoying my regular visits for the foreseeable future. Self care is real, and when it come to that Lifeworks is top notch!

When I count my blessings, Dr. Abby is near the top of the list. That may sound hyperbolic, but when I think of how many of my blessings I was unable to enjoy because of the chronic pain I was in before coming to her, the role she plays in my quality of life becomes clear. Im a young, healthy, and extremely active person - and I injured my knee a few years ago. Three years and 7 surgeries later, Ive found myself in chronic pain, sleeplessness, and confined to a knee brace. I have honestly tried everything, from injections, to PT, to water PT, to medications, to yoga, Pilates...you name it. Im pretty skeptical of a lot of things, but open to feeling better. After I started throwing out my back more than once, rendering me useless and unable to function as an elementary teacher, I took my good friends advice and booked it to Lifeworks. They were so kind, empathetic, and accommodating - and also really affordable. When I started seeing Abby, everything changed. She noticed how my other leg and back (and entire body) have been compensating for my achy knee, and weve been working through my years of pain through my back. And much to my incredibly skeptical mind - my knee has felt better than it ever has. Almost like new. After so much pain, and so many trials, I can hardly believe it. Shes amazing. About 2 years ago, I threw my lower back out and could barely walk. The kind folks at LIfeworks Chiropractic fit me in for a visit and Ive never looked back. Both Dr. Jay and Dr. Abby give first rate care. They first helped me through my acute pain, and I have continued to see Dr. Jay for wellness visits twice monthly since then. The gentle and profound adjustments I receive not only help keep my back healthy (I havent had a serious issue since I began care), but help relieve many layers of stress in my body. The office staff is so caring and competent. They go above and beyond to accommodate their patients. The continued care I have received is a critical part of my self care and every time I leave their office, I feel so grateful to the team at Lifeworks.

Ive been seeing Dr. Jay at Lifeworks regularly for years now. He has been able to completely relieve the debilitating nerve pain that surgery couldnt even fix. Just one visit per month keeps me completely free of the pain that once kept me awake at night crying. Jay has an extremely gentle approach to chiropractic care and a very warm and caring personality. The receptionists are very warm and kind and make you feel at home. Ive been to other chiropractors in the past and had negative experiences. I would never recommend anyone else but Jay and Lifeworks and Ill continue to be a regular patient here as long as I possibly can :)
