This new office was formed from the merger of Drs. Laughlin and Wade, and the office of Dr. Cheryl Van Horn.Since the merger, they operate off the MyEyeDr app, which is a bit like turning your former motel property into an AirBnB. This has not really affected the service, as it is mainly designed to have patients use the Internet to cut down on office visits. Even so, contacting the office is not difficult and the ladies on staff are very helpful.I recently ordered a pair of glasses with Transitions, and one lens was not coated, coming back. I felt they worked diligently to have me a corrected pair in a couple weeks.Dr. Van Horn is a very straightforward, no-nonsense businesswoman with an assuring sense of professionalism. Previously, Dr. Wade had afforded me adequate care in the same building.

They were very knowledgeable and thorough with my eye examine and their equipment is the most advanced Ive ever seen. With having eye problems since an infant I was very impressed with their care and the time they took to answer my questions. The front desk staff that checked me in, Nicole, was friendly and remembered details we had previously discussed over the phone. The optometry technician Amanda had me laughing through the entire process and Dr. Van Horn made me feel comfortable and confident that she understood my problems and gave me the highest level of care. Shawna spent time helping me pick out frames and find the best contacts to try for my preferences. I wont be going anywhere else for my vision needs. If I could Id give them a 10/10

I have to say the eye exam was probably the most comprehensive Ive ever had. Very up to date technology and thorough testing at the location. (THUS THE 3 STAR RATING). Actually getting new glasses was more challenging. I ordered 2 pair (regular and sunglass). The glasses came in and were fine. I thought they looked a little odd on one side but theres a pattern to the frame so I figured thats what I was seeing. The sunglasses were just wrong. The lady tried to tell me its was because the dots placed on the lenses for measuring were still there. That was definitely NOT the problem. She finally took them to read the RX and it turns out both the left and right lenses were the prescription for my right eye. So, they had to send them back. Yesterday my eye glasses broke at the top of the right lens and the lens popped out. Turns out that slightly off look was a hairline crack in the frame. So now Im back to wearing my old glasses . Great place to get an exam but strongly recommend purchasing your eye wear elsewhere. Very disappointing and frustrating. Leaving work AGAIN for the third time because of these issues since they dont offer Saturday hours. Will not be using them again for future eye care needs.

My experience was very different than the bad reviews. I went to them because of the convenience of booking online and them accepting my insurance. everyone was really kind and helpful, there was an issue with an out of pocket cost not matching up and the girl at the end who checked me out (dont know her name) just fixed it without me asking. Definitely a good place to go if insurance will pay.

My experience at MyEyeDr was very pleasant! Everyone was warm and welcome from start to finish, and questions I had were answered fully to my understanding. I really appreciated the fact that I wasn’t very knowledgeable when it came to vision appointments and the folks from MyEyeDr, from the front desk to everything in between were very helpful and informative! I really appreciate the help :)

Wife tried to use restroom and they said not allowed. What doctors office don’t let patients use their restroom 😣. Also she rescheduled apt on line web site left work for apt only to find she was not on schedule. Ask why when scheduling through website was told that site doesn’t work. That’s what recording message says to do. Lost 1/2 day of work only to reschedule again 😡. Most in professional group ever!

I went to Walmart one day and got my eyes checked and was told my left cornea was ripped and would just keep getting worse over time that was 2 year ago and I thought now would be a good time to go get my eyes checked and a new pair of glasses. I went to Myeyedr they were very nice and polite each person I talked too. I got my eyes looked at and told the DR. What I was told he laughed and assured me that’s not the case that it would of healed up already which I was happy hear I got my eyes check went to go pick out glasses the lady that helped me was nice to go back and take the time to find a pair of glasses I liked. They also helped with 1 year warranty and the blue leans protection plus aloud me to split my payments. They did so much more. It has been about 3 weeks since I went and haven’t received my glasses yet but with this COVID going on I assume that’s why it’s taking so long. I will keep patiently waiting until they arrive.

One of the worst places to go. I went in March for a Appointment because I needed contacts and with the Covid-19 situation they are terrible with helping you get what you need. I have not got my classes that I have ordered back in March because they wont let you just come get them. They cant order the contacts that you need. I am out of contacts because they still have yet to order my contacts. Worst eye doctor I have been to. You call and no one will answer the phone. If they do then its because you have been on the phone waiting for a long time. Its sad.

Unfortunately I have had two very different experiences with this company. Prior to the location and name change - I was pleased with the services that my family received through Vision Care Center. They are a VSP premier member and offer a lot of the discounts and rebates available. However, when the office moved and changed to MyEyeDr the quality of service completed changed. Weve experienced lost client files, contacts that were to be mailed but eere sitting in the office for 2 months, phone calls not returned (for months) and overall no communication or explanation. The change has been very frustrating and disappointing.

Heavy-set lady at the end of my exam was very rude! Dr. Laughlin’s office has gone downhill since transitioning to “myeyedr”. Not the first time I had this problem. That lady needs to go!
