Dr Jones is very knowledgeable and explains medical diagnoses in terms a lay person can understand. Also I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes to see her. Her staff are friendly and efficient.

Wonderful staff from the front desk to picking out my new eyeglasses! Taylor got me started with the initial workup and she was very patient and thorough. Dr. Wilder is clearly very enthusiastic about his work, which is rare these days. He explained to me very clearly the changes that are occurring in my eye and went over my options in a way that was easy to understand. Everyone I encountered on the staff had a great personality, very outgoing. I would highly recommend Dr. Wilder and the staff at Southern Eye.

From my first visit to the office in Foley, to my cataract removal surgery, the staff at SEG in Foley have been great. Dr. McDaniel explained my options for my new lens and the surgery was 100% successful without a hitch. I don’t remember ever being able to see this good. Now that I see so well out of my left eye, I will discuss future possibilities of removing the cataract in my right eye as well. A solid 5 Star Rating in my book. 👍

I was going to another eye clinic on the Eastern Shore, and when I was ready to have cataract surgery, I was told Id have to go to Mobile to have the surgery! My brother-in-law had gone to the Southern Eye Group and was very pleased with their clinic! I made an appointment, and they took me! I was very pleased with the results! I would definitely recommend this clinic for your cataract surgery!

Had a horrible experience here on 3/20/20. front of house staff was cold, had poor communication skills and a terrible negative attitude. This is in contrast to past experiences at this office. Not sure what has changed but there was palpable irritation among the staff. Until that is resolved, I would look elsewhere for eye care.Update: The second visit was a completely different experience. The young lady who helped me fit contacts was so kind and took her time.

It was a very good experience. I did not have to wait and all precautions were taken from covid-19. The technician who did my testing was extremely skilled, and very people-friendly. Dr corder of course is the greatest.

The front office staff are always so friendly that I get the feeling that I have been a patient for many years, rather than my being a relatively new patient.The clinical staff are all very professional and my questions are answeredin a way that I can easily understand. I wish that at the end of each office visit, I would get a printout of the doctors notes (designed for a patient).

The only thing that I didnt like was that when I left I wasnt given the summary of visit paper, I had to ask to book my next three month appointment, and I wasnt asked what time or date was best for me, the patient, that has to take off work to go back.

Dr. Wilder and his staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Dr. Wilder gives a very thorough examination and goes over all the different options available for your eye care needs. He takes the time to explain everything and answer any questions you may have. I’ve worn corrective lenses over 20 yrs and in the last several years had to start using reading glasses when wearing my contacts to see up close, which is a major inconvenience. Dr. Wilder was the first doctor who told me that I could try multifocal contact lenses so that I didn’t have to use readers as well. I have tried them and they work perfectly! I am so happy I started seeing Dr. Wilder!

Called to book a new patient appt. Took 10 mins to do that and the lady seemed as if she didnt know what she was doing and kept putting me on hold. I specifically asked for a Friday afternoon. A couple days later i get a call to move my appointment to the morning. I explained again that I needed Friday afternoon. She then told me she could do Monday morning. I told her i would be finding somewhere else to go. Seemed disorganized abs had lack of listening skills.

As soon as I walked in they were very nice, not like most Dr.’s offices. From the front to the Dr. they all were very friendly and nice

I would like to say for a supposed to be a professional staffed Surgery facility they ARE NOT !!!!!! I just had first my L eye cataract surgery 2 weeks ago I am a stage 4 Breast cancer survivor & have Lymph edema in my L arm & it can not be used. My port broke & had just recently been removed so an I J Line was put in due to the fact I am a very very hard stick they only have the only one arm for IV . With my first eye they promised that they would have it arranged to where they could use my I J Line they got my IV started withe one stick but everyone from nurses to the anesthetist to the Drs told me with my other eye they would have it arranged to used my I J Line. Well THEY DID NOT !!!! I was stuck 2 times by the Nurse & 3 times by the antithesis all along Im crying due to the pain of sticking for an IV line when I had a perfectly GOOD LINE with my I J Line one of the nursed I think her name was Linda smarted @ me & said this is a eye surgical facility no one here is certified to flush your line Im a retired LPN I brought my own sterile flushes to flush myself if I needed to but instead they choose to trying & trying to get an IV when I had a perfectly good line they could have used !!!! If no one is certified to access a port or pic line or I J Line then I say U are NOT A PROPERLY STAFFED SURGICAL CENTER i love my eye Dr Dr Cherniak that I see in Foley!!! But I had a poor experience @ the so called surgical eye center !!!! I will not use that facility again !!!!!!
