Gene Brabston has been my dentist for over 40 years. I have found him to be honest, thorough, and compassionate. I’ve had fillings, caps, bridges, and a dental implant done by Dr. Gene. All good work. No complaints from me.

I’ve been going to Living Oaks for about 6 years now. I love Dr. Brabston and his staff! The hygienists are gentle and thorough and Lauren the receptionist is just about the sweetest person you’ll ever meet. I have anxiety and have had issues with numbing medications working properly in the past but Dr. Brabston has always taken great care of me. They offer sedation to make sure everything is comfortable and pain-free and I’ve never had a bad experience with them. I moved last year but I still drive all the way to Fairhope for my dental appointments because I don’t want to switch dentists. Highly recommend Living Oaks!

I had to go in today for 7 plus fillings. I scheduled this appointment over a month ago and have been worrying myself sick over it. I’ve always had fear of the dentist ever since my ever first appointment and always had nothing but horrible experiences and that caused what I thought fear forever. Causing my teeth to just rot out my head. I AM beyond thankful for this place. When my fear and terror was explained to them they explained a method called “oral sedation” to me in other words conscious sedation. I couldn’t eat/drink anything the night before after midnight and they scheduled me for a early appointment the next day, came in a hour before that and they gave me the oral sedation and told me to relax on the couch until I started to feel real sleepy before I knew it a hour had passed and I forgot to let them know I was getting sleepy and it was time to go back. Somebody walked me back... Not much more I remember after that point except seeing a couple things and feeling cotton in my cheek other than that I can’t remember the sound of the drill, and tastes or smells (if there were any at least) I just remember feeling totally relaxed in the chair that I pretty much slept through all of it if there was a way to explain being asleep and awake and the same time that’s how I felt today. I was conscious enough to open my mouth wider but didn’t care what they were doing or always jerking my head to look at what they were about to stick on my mouth. Next thing know they are lifting the chair saying I’m done and my lip felt as fat as ever got home took a great nap and woke up starving !!!! I was so pleased with this appointment I could cry tears of joy who knew you could be so relaxed in the dentist chair ESPECIALLY ME. But the best part of all this is it was painless & he was super quick doing them and did an amazing job this dentist has a lot of compassion and really cares about his patients! He means business got me in and out super quick and still did a rockin job. So I can’t thank you enough Live Oaks Dental for being my dream dentist office :) I love you guys!

Living Oaks Dental..I HIGHLY RECOMMEND their services..Dr. Brabston and His AMAZING team of dental hygienists .. do a really good job of monitoring and taking care of my teeth. Dr. Brabston was one of the first dentists in the Fairhope area, and as a result of his early presence in this area, he offered all forms of dental treatment for his clients. Because of this long experience in so many areas, he can diagnose..and probably treat..most dental issues. His team does an excellent job of cleaning and reviewing a patients teeth in preparation for his review.

My hygienist is incredibly sweet and patiently works around my tooth sensitivities.

This office has taken the best of care of my family. They have gone above and beyond to make our experiences at the dentist as simple as possible from taking care of insurance questions, a pain free root canal, and treating my kids and making their experiences positive. Ive been going to Dr. Brabstons office for many years and have always been happy with the treatment provided, not to mention the congenial atmosphere. Definitely recommended.

I scheduled an apt about 5 weeks out. I hadnt been to the Dentist in about 5 years. I made the apt for me and my husband for a side by side. Sandy the office staff was very friendly. I called her over the phone a few times to assure things with her, and she took her time out to explain a few things to me. They got us in quick. I was very nervous and didnt have enough finances to get the gas to relax you. Ashleigh who was my Hygenist came out to the room to speak to me to make sure I was relaxed and at ease when it came to cleaning my teeth, being an anxious person in all it was hard to relax. She assured me everything would be okay. My husband had an older lady. Not to seem mean. My husband stated she was kinda clumsy and squirted water in my eye when looking away, and she dropped and knocked tons of things over. i didnt find his experience to be quiet relaxing or comfortable. I recommended that we see Ashleigh. My husband told me she used a super sonic plaque remover. I know allot of Hygenists will get into a routine of using things they dont need to. I know everyones mouth is different. However me or my husband didnt appreciate that she had to use something powerful, instead of just using a regular metal tool. He felt like she was rushing him rather than just using what regular hygenists use. I asked Ashleigh if i had to have it done. She told me I dont do it routinely, unless someone actually needs it. I liked how Ashleigh doesnt use tools routinely, because sometimes you really dont Need it. My husband said it was as if she was just rushing and didnt want to take her time removing the plaque with a regular plaque remover. My husband said she made a 6th month apt date, however me and my husband wouldve rather spoke about how our visit went before we made another apt. Ashleigh had told me prior she didnt have to make an apt for me and wanted me to take the time to see if I really wanted to return. She was very nice, gentle, sweet, and careful. If we happen to return me and my husband decided Ashleigh would be the Hygienists to see. She didnt rush and took her time, unlike the Hygienists my husband had, I dont appreciate using tools routinely unless you need them. My experience was overall good and calming. I would highly recommend Ashleigh over any Hygienists. My husband doesnt feel comfortable with going back to the lady he had, however he is hoping Ashleigh will do a much better job, which i sure assured him that she would.
