The first impression was off putting, the girls at the desk could smile and greet their patients like they weren’t at the dentist. The actual dentist was personable and made you feel comfortable. I will return despite my first impression.—- Update: My second visit was much better than the first. I was greeted by new management and was put at ease with all new changes. She took the time to make sure that I was comfortable and that all my questions were answered. The new dentist (though hard to understand) was personable and explained exactly what he was doing. I have no doubts about returning this time.

I have such anxiety going to the dentist. Everyone at Smiley was very nice. The dentist explained everything that needed to be done in detail. He put me at such ease I was laughing by the end of my appointment.

I have great deal of anxiety going to a dentist but Smiley Dental addressed all of my anxiety. It didnt feel like an intense dental office. The staff was so friendly and joked around to break my nervousness. I would give 10 stars to Smiley Dental Fairhaven. I heard they have other offices too.

Everyone was so great, my daughters went to the dentist for the first time and we were expecting a freak out, but everyone made them so comfortable and they weren’t scared at all. Couldn’t of asked for a better experience

Everyone at Smiley Dental was great and made it so easy for my little ones first time at the dentist!

Was really underwhelmed and pretty outraged by the dentist Dr. Matouk’s lack of professionalism. She comes into the room 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment and goes “bad teeth?” after I overhear her make jokes of why I couldn’t just get a crown prior to the appointment. (Maybe because I didn’t have insurance at the time or the money because not everyone has that luxury.) Then made jokes about how I can’t take medications due to contraindications and allergies…? Not funny at all.If you have anxiety about dental work, DO NOT go here, not worth the extra hassle. Wish I didn’t waste the over an hour it took for them to make a referral and prescription.

They are above and beyond amazing. I had a tooth emergency and let’s just say I wasn’t so nice cuz I was in pain. But they understood and they made me feel at ease and welcome there this is definitely a place I like

The staff at Smiley in Fairhaven is EXCELLENT. They are under new management and after a cleaning and a filling for myself, a cleaning for my daughter, and a cleaning and two fillings for my son and x-rays for all I can say I am VERY HAPPY. The dentist can be hard to understand but he is very friendly and very efficient and the manager is aware and happy to clarify anything you need and is very informative. The receptionist is very friendly and accomodating and focused and is great about looking up copays and giving a detailed treatment plan. The assistants and xray techs are professional and courteous and swift. My son and I were very very happy with how quickly the fillings were done. I have anxiety and had a panic attack while getting numbed and the dentist absolutely kindly and easily made me feel much calmer. I would definitely recommend! I only give four stars instead of five because of the difficulty I have understanding the dentist which may be troublesome for some but the experiences otherwise have been worth it! The manager, the receptionist, the xray techs, assistants and dentist are the best!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I was numbed for a cavity I didn’t even have! Aggressively worked on with little care. Lots of blood and pain.

Website and sign say they are open but nobody is there and you are dumped into voicemail when you call. Suggestion maybe you should update your hours and shut off the neon sign in your window.Have tooth infection but apparently i will have to wait.Response to owner yes i did go there today.

I cannot say enough about Smiley Dental! Not only are their dental services outstanding and thorough but the staff from start to finish were impeccable, extremely professional and helpful. My son who was nervous as many children often may become when visiting the dentist but Tess, the manager at Smiley went above and beyond to assure our experience there was nothing short of excellent. I had such a great experience with Smiley Dental!! I was terrified to get a tooth extraction since I have always had horrible experiences with dentists. However I read the reviews and I gave them a chance and Im so happy I did! I felt absolutely no pain, the dentist was so kind to me she told me to let her know if I felt any discomfort. Which was a total different experience than I had at previous places. I was told to stop being a baby and that I was lying that I could feel pain (different dentist that will not be named but will if you ask, so nobody else it treated this way) I was walked through the entire process with my hand being help basically lol. After my appointment I told all of my family members and coworkers to go to Smiley Dental! 10s across the board!

Love the place. The dentist is super nice and knowledgeable. The office is very modern. My son spent 1 hour their in the play area and didnt want to leave. They have good play area to keep the kids happy for hours. I will take my whole family back.

I was a little apprehensive about this dentist due to the name. Im 55 years old and had not been to the dentist in 11 years. It sounded like a dentist for children but I didnt have a dentist, they took my insurance and it was close to my home. What a pleasant surprise ! Very prompt, knowledgeable, and friendly. Im going back to have all the work done that I had been putting off.

I initially gave a 4 star review after my first 2 visits since I’m usually hesitant to give any place 5 stars but after having my 3rd dental visit in less than 3 weeks i decided I can without question give smiley dental a 5 star review. I’ve been to smiley dental twice last week because of a broken tooth and abscess. I was in pain so I called and was seen quickly and had it resolved then Yesterday I had a teeth cleaning done and wow it was very thorough. I’m looking forward to my next visit soon for my continue care with what I’m happy to say will be my new dentist. (Smiley Dental) The front desk was very friendly , Dr. Chung was AMAZING because he was straight to the point and explains things very clear. He doesn’t leave you waiting long and seems actually concerned for your well being and pain management is fantastic and the dental assistants have been friendly. I’ve hated every dentist I’ve ever been to until now. The place was designed very nicely with a young staff , televisions in the rooms to put you at ease and fair pricing. Everything looks very clean and they picked a nice location near the highway and near multiple pharmacies. I highly recommend them and if you have children they even have a playground with a slide indoors with I’ve never seen anywhere for a dentist office. My son was having a blast and didn’t want to leave which makes me smile and now I don’t have to be embarrassed as much when I smile and that will only get better in time.

This dentist office, is the most professional, caring atmosphere you could ever experience. In all my years Ive never been more comfortable in a dentist office. They explain what will be done making sure you have no discomfort during procedures. Your greated with kindness as soon as you walk in, the waiting room has a play area for children, comfortable seating with TV in which theyll ask what you would like to watch while you wait. This is the first dentist Ive been to that had a wonderfully caring staff! Front desk receptionist was great. The dental assistant I had was very upbeat, friendly and knowledgeable. The dentist couldnt have made me feel more comfortable, this gentleman assessed my situation, without rushing. He actually educated me on what was happening with my dental health and was extremely thorough and made sure I made the right decision for myself and my budget. I normally dont write reviews, yet I feel highly compelled to write this for them. My son is sensory and doesnt like odd tastes in his mouth and if he gets anxious he suffers extreme migraines so I wasnt sure how hed do at the dentist seeing as getting him to brush his teeth has always been a chore. Well, I have never seen a dentist as compassionate and understanding as I did today and I am blown away by the fact that my son got through his filling completely. He was told step by step what was going to happen and was allowed to get up and rinse his mouth whenever he wanted. Best dental experience ever! I needed two teeth pulled which sounds horribly painful and awful but with Dr. Chung I felt absolutely nothing it was AMAZING. All the staff I encountered there were all so nice too! Will be going here in the future and will be referring all my friends and family.

Dr. Chung has to be one of the best dentist in the area. Hes very kind, gental, and reassuring. Going to the dentist for any procedure is always scary for some and he talked me through the whole thing one tooth at a time. If you have severe anxiety or even ashamed of your teeth and the condition that theyre in Dr. Chung and his amazing staff at Smiley Dental are the people youre looking for to take care of you. Another thing I wanted to mention is I had to pay 100% out of pocket and theyre prices are very reasonable. If you go on theyre website they even have deals for new guests.

The work done on a pair of teeth after 2 enormous fillings broke apart was absolutely phenomenal! We’re talking Grand Canyon holes! And the first time in my 67 years I did not feel any of the needles!!! The work was TOP NOTCH and patient concern was top priority!

A friend had recommended Smiley Dentist when I was trying to locate a new doctor that wouldn’t again, destroy my mouth more than it already had been. From the moment I walked in and was greeted by both Tess and Sam, all the way to the end of the visit, they all went above and beyond to ensure I received the absolute best care possible. The dental assistant Nautica made sure I was nothing but relaxed and comfortable. Dr M, where do I begin! She was kind, patient and empathetic. Made sure to sit with me and listen to what I wanted to do in regards to a treatment plan and provided one that worked for us both. Informed me of any limitations and at the end, felt 100% comfortable with the visit, plan, and relationship with my new dr. Tess, Sam, Nautica, and Dr. M, THANK YOU SO SO VERY MUCH!

I really wanted to give Smiley Dental 5 stars because of the staff and the work I’ve had done . At first I had referred several friends and family because I was satisfied with the work I had done but unfortunately after I had expressed the anxiety I had with coming back and doing all the work I had left at once instead of splitting it into two different sessions and that I didn’t appreciate being left in the chair for over an hour the dentist then became extremely rude ., unprofessional and embarrassed me in front of the staff and other clients. He had belittled me in front of everyone and then referred I’d go some place else . I had reached out to the boss but have not received a call back so unfortunately I’ve been forced to give the rating instead .

I had a great experience at Smiley Dental in Fairhaven. The staff were very welcoming and thorough in their approach to dental care. Included in their introductory $49 special were xrays of all my teeth, an oral cancer screening, a check for periodontal disease, and a great dental cleaning that left my teeth feeling nice and clean. It is a wonder dentist and facility. I hate dentist, but love this one. He is awesome.I was so nervous, but it went better than I ever expected. My first visit to Smiley Dental was this week. In the past I only used a private practice dentist. Smiley Dental at the Fairhaven MA location was wonderful. Dr. Chung is extremely knowledgeable and does an excellent job of explaining exrays and procedures. I can’t remember the hygienist assistant name but she was just as nice.
