The atmosphere is welcoming, the staff is efficient and professional and most importantly ,the Doctor listens intently and is most knowledgeable in dealing with issues that may arise.

Great service! I was able to quickly book an appointment and everyone in the office was courteous and professional. My exam was done very efficiently and Dr Cartwright was friendly and informative.

I moved to the area last year and needed a new eye doctor. Previous to this I had only been treated by ophthalmologist so I was a little reluctant to see Dr. Timmons. I was absolutely wrong. My experiences during three visits over the course of the year have been fantastic. The office is clean, well organized, and extremely responsive. I have never had any trouble making an appointment. When it has been an emergency, they have fit me in. Dr. Timmons is thorough spends a great deal of time with his patients, and explains everything so that they are understandable. I have Recommended him to others who have gone to him cents and they have also had an excellent experience. He is extremely competent. He has found issues regarding my eyesight that have never been found in the past and he has proven out to be absolutely correct.

I had very bad experience hereThe staff here do not know how to do their job, I called to make an appointment for my consultation to correct my vision and they didn’t know what it is about. The staff is so rude on the day I visited, No communication. She didn’t say anything, just handed me 5 pieces of paper to fill out and ask me for my insurance card.I met the dr. and he was good. They told me to talk to the coordinator to schedule my appointment for the surgery day. I asked about the cost, she said to call her back and will give me more information. I had to call three times over a week. And they staff always told me to leave her the message but I did not hear from her. No communication about appointments and so non-responsive. I ended up going to the new place which is a lot better!

Talk about thorough and high tech! I love all the testing and intricate measuring with all different gadgets and machines. I don’t understand it all but it makes me feel like they’re really taking good care of my eyes and my sight.

Had an ‘emergency’ need after a freak accident with a tennis ball bouncing off the racquet directly into the eye, causing blood to flow down my left cheek. My first thought was an urgent care center, followed by a hospital emergency room. My second (much better) thought was instead to try to see an eye specialist. Dr. Thimons & his office staff in Fairfield were incredible. I was able to get an immediate appointment with a true professional (Dr. Thimons) who clearly explained what happened, what the implications were of everything he found, and laid out the treatment actions clearly. Who knows what might have happened had I gone to an urgent care center or hospital emergency room initially…if I was lucky, they may have eventually referred me to an eye specialist like Dr. Thimons anyway. NET: I was MORE than satisfied with Dr. Thimons and Opthimalic Consultants of CT and feel extremely fortunate I found them!

The staff was very welcoming and my doctor in particular explained my eye health thoroughly. Four stars only because I noticed, probably due to simple inexperience, that when addressing older clients a staff member didnt consider them being hard of hearing which resulted in the patient being unsure. Also the wait to get into my own room was about 45 minutes, not counting the actual meet with the doctor.

Very good experience. Dr Timon & his staff were very professional & on time. Everything was explained very clearly to me. Highly recommend the Ophthalmic Consultants. Now....lets talk about the building they are in. IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE AS THERE WAS NO NUMBER ON THE BUILDING! Took 15 minutes of driving around & looking at Map Quest to actually find the building. The building is under construction BUT, there should be some sort of sign on the site (something you couldnt miss) to identify the building.

I highly recommend Dr Stein. Last year I had a retina detachment surgery in both eyes. After the long healing process, it is common for a cataract to develop. I was quite nervous about the procedure having a higher risk for another detachment. Dr Stein and his staff were professional, informative and kind. Not to mention the facilities were spotless. Both surgeries went perfectly and my eye sight is better than it ever has been in my life. Im very grateful. Thank you

I had very unsatisfying experience at Dr Thimons office. I went for an eye exam including a vision check for glasses. when I looked up my prescription it appeared to indicate that my right eye was the weaker eye. Although my right eye has always been the significantly stronger eye, I searched online and confirmed that the prescription indicated the opposite. I called the Drs office to get clarification on my prescription and was told that Dr will return my call. I did not hear from him. I had to call three times over a week. when I finally spoke to him, he said I needed to come back to redo my vision test. I went back and sure enough the initial prescription was significantly wrong. I would not recommend going to this office.

Dr Thimmon is very professional in his examination and explained the issues and tests thoroughly. Office is meticulously clean with all COVID-related precautions. Staff was was very pleasant and able to schedule a visit at short notice. Would highly recommend this practice.

Ive been seeing Dr. Thimmons for a year now for some chronic eye issues and he has made dramatic progress over my previous eye doctor. Hes very informative and communicates what to expect and how to use the medications. His staff is great too. Very highly recommended!

Excellent doctors- great care!

I had very bad experience with these doctors. First, they wanted to operate me for Cataracts which 3 different doctors told me I did not need. I did have cross link surgery and this where my very bad experience is based on. They operated my both eyes before I moved out of state which they knew I was leaving and offered to find a doctor in Florida to follow up. After many calls and messages they gave me a name of an Optometrist which had no cornea experience. I had to find my own doctor and pay for all my follow up. I am worse now than I was before the operation and I have tried to call Dr. Thimons left a message and like many times before and they do not respond. Based my my experience I would never recommend these doctors to anyone.

The doctors here are great. The downside is the wait time from check in to seeing a doctor.

Highly recommend this practice. I have had routine appointments and also have had surgery through this group and have been very happy with my treatment and outcome. Only thing that could be improved is less wait time in the waiting prior to COVID guidelines.

Horrible experience at Fairfield location today. Did not get to see the Dr. Upon check-in I was handed 5 pages of paperwork. I had a broken shoulder surgically repaired last week, my dominant/writing hand. My arm is immobilized. I asked if there was another way I could provide the information because I was left-handed and would have trouble filling out the paperwork. The person I was speaking to went around the corner to ask someone else and I heard her say he can fill it out with his right hand. I walked around the corner and said, youve got to be kidding me, theres no other way I can provide this information to you? What if someone has a disability, how would they do this? The response was Their aid would fill it out. I just took my insurance card and id and left while saying, or perhaps you could have provided the paperwork in advance, provide it electronically, or let me answer the questions verbally like every other office has been able to do. Ive had multiple first-time office visits in the past few weeks due to the broken shoulder. Very hard for me to politely explain how obnoxious and unnecessarily rude this was. Not to mention how out of line the response to the disability question was.

I couldn’t be more pleased with the service given by Dr. Stein and the staff from The consultation process all the way through to completion of getting rid of both cataracts in my eyes. I am ecstatic with my vision and with the return of my freedom to drive at night without headaches and blinding peril. Not needing corrective glasses is more than a bonus result from having this procedure done. I have the utmost confidence in Dr Stein and his staff. They are at the top of their field.

I was diagnosed with an eye disease and I wanted a second opinion so I went here to see Dr. Thimons. Last time I went to this office was in 2012 so they had to research my file and get back to me regarding details concerning my case, they NEVER did this and it has been over one month now! I called and called everyday to talk to the doctor and kept getting lied to by reception!!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! The technician could not operate any of the machinery it took her 20 mins for what should have been a simple pressure check she could not even do it! Dr. Love has horrible bed side manner also. GO ELSEWHERE!!!

The appointments themselves take time and that is expected. But the only complaint is that wait times are usually 45 minutes so a 9:30 appointment doesnt actually start until around 10:15. This can be an issue if you are on a tight schedule

This is a very professional office with great people working there. They dont make you wait for appointments and they are very thorough. The assistant who worked with me, Joshua, is just the nicest person who put me at ease straight away. Dr. Timons knows his stuff and follows up when needed.

It took 4 ophthalmologists over a dozen years before I finally found one whole brought my rampant Glaucoma under control. If you have an unusual or difficult to treat eye condition, Dr. Robert Noecker is your best bet to diagnose and treat your problem. He is fully up-to-date on the latest effective treatment technologies, a brilliant surgeon, and a pleasant and caring individual.

My pre-operation services went flawlessly. The staff, from forward to back were all clinically trained. This clearly tells me that surgery will be a walk in the park. No worries.

Dr. James Thimons has a knack for continuity and connecting the last visit, which mightve been four or five months ago, with the current one. With a broad knowledge base and cultural savvy, its always a learning experience. Plus his assistants, in this last visit Tequesta, hold up the technological testing end. Outstanding care!

My daughter saw Dr. Thimons and was referred by her Ophthalmologist for an ERG. She will be having that soon along with a VEP. She has had progressive loss of vision and is now legally blind. Dr. Thimons was very thorough and already found something concerning on a Spect Domain OCT. We are very relieved to finally have some concrete validation. He was kind and compassionate, not to mention extremely competent. We look forward to going back to finish the testing and hopefully get to the root of her vision loss. I went into the office on July 1 because I had gotten chemicals in my eyes and they took great care of me, got me out of there and got rid of my worries and best of all, my eyes are good again, just two days later.

Service is not their forte. Last visit they charged me for 2 co-pays. I have only been there twice. I asked why and they said, maybe we didnt charge you the first time?Well, maybe you should look into that??This am at 9ish, I received a call to change my MAY follow up. It is my busiest day of the year and I explained my calendar was at work so maybe you could call me back next week since there is plenty of time to reschedule. I was told that I need to call them back to reschedule......hmmmI mention the double copayment and the person argues that I did not have time to reschedule, but I could bring up an accounting issue....hmmmI am the patient in this situation and would be appalled if my service was anywhere near this level.Time to get the training manual out for customer service and maybe review it.Happy Thanksgiving.

Dr Thimmons office is amazing. Everyone is really helpful. I was worried about going during Covid but they are really on top of that. As soon as you get up from a chair, they wipe everything down with alcohol and every room is left open. I wish I hadnt waited so long!

I had a small piece of metal in my eye,practically undetectable but very painful .It wouldn’t wash out with eye wash. So I went to Dr. Timmons. He knew exactly what to do, found it on my upper eye and extracted it painlessly. I’m so glad I went to Dr. Timmons. He said it would’ve been inflamed and infected had I let it fester over the weekend.( I waited four days trying to flush it out myself but it was stuck to my eyeball.)I highly recommend Dr Timmons. He’s thorough, highly skilled and just an all around nice guy.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Love the MDs, I’ve been a patient of OCC for 10+ years and will never go anywhere else. Love the convenience of multiple locations throughout the state. One is near my house and one is near my job.

Waited for an hour and a half just to be seen after my confirmed appointment. After being seen, the ONE doctor made no real intention to pay actual attention to the client. He wanted to just be in and out with no real care. He left everything unclear on my diagnosis and paid no importance to what the real problem was. After I left, my eye felt no different nor any better, I made a number of calls weekly to the office to get a better understanding of my diagnosis but the receptionists kept saying that they had left a note on his desk and it was still there and he will call back. Its been a month with no call back. Eyes are a serious problem and should not have to be calling every week to get an update and still not get one!!

Went through a difficult incident, an emergency followed by a poor medical procedure with a different doctor, and was fortunate to find Dr. Thimons and Dr. Noecker who came highly recommended by a physician friend and also by someone else that deals professionally with many doctors in the NE/NY area. Their skill, knowledge, professionalism, thoroughness and kindness are outstanding. Im grateful to have found them.

The only thing I didnt like was waiting almost 1/2 hour to be seen. Appointment was for 8:30 AM but wasnt seen until almost 9:00 AM. I know they get busy but I was the 1st appointment and still had to wait.
