Dr. Dombrowski performed a total hip replacement on my left hip in November of 2010. Christmas Eve I entertained 30 people at my house. Recovery was quick and I was able to ride my Honda motorcycle that next Spring. In June of this year he replaced the right hip. As I was 10 years older recovery took just a little longer but easy. I am now looking forward to some hiking in the mountains this fall. I highly recommend Dr. Dombroski as he is very caring and highly skilled.

I recently had right knee arthroscopy & patellar lateral release, after having pain, swelling & 3 falls in the past year because of my knee problem. 2.5 months later I am pain free, back to work, and having good days when I wake up pain free, and realized the pain did not wake me up in the middle of the night. Dr. D. has great bed size manner, and excellent surgical expertise. I highly recommend him & his physical therapy staff is the best! I would not go anywhere else for my Ortho care.

After a couple years of increasing pain in my knees, I was no longer able to walk up and down the stairs without help from two hand rails and experiencing a significant amount of pain. I then went to see Dr Dombrowski. He performed arthroscopic surgery on both knees resulting in complete elimination of all pain. All mobility has also been completely restored. I happened upon Dr. Dombrowski by chance at what is now Ortho Virginia when my prior Doctor left the practice. This was at over 10 years ago. Dr. Dombrowski did a complete knee replacement for me in October 2019. The surgery has been a complete success and after 3 months I’m riding my bike pain free. However, it’s not just the fact that EVERYTHING in my case worked out that has prompted me to write this. Dr. Dombrowski is the most caring doctor that I’ve ever encountered. He listens! Office appointments are not rushed. He makes sure he’s explained everything clearly and gives time for conversation and questions. Three weeks after my surgery, I had a medication question so I called the office which happened to be during the lunch hour. After suffering a freak fall, Dr. Dombrowski performed emergency surgery to repair my shattered tibia and fibula as well as a torn meniscus. I injured my knee during a recent ski trip. I was fortunate to find Dr. Dombrowski to treat me. Dr. Dombrowski is a very knowledgeable and experienced orthopedician. Under his treatment, I was able to quickly recover and back to my daily route. Dr. Dombrowski is a very caring and empathetic physician. He understands the pain and anxiety of patients. His office staff is also very friendly and compassionate to patients. Its a incredible experience to work with Dr. Dombrowski and his team!

Dr. Dombrowski performed arthroscopic knee surgery to remove foreign debris. I went to Dr. Dombrowski anticipating a knee replacement and a long recovery period. Instead, he recommended the less complicated procedure. I walked out of the recovery room and never felt any pain after the procedure. He was very thorough and spent time discussing the procedure and future possibilities. He was always available to answer my questions. The nurses at the hospital even commented oh you have Dr. Dombrowksi. He is very thorough and very punctual. He has performed surgery on my son and I and the results have been outstanding. The best compliment you can give a person is to trust them with your childs health and I will always trust Dr. Dombrowski.

Im currently a patient of Dr. Dombrowski -- and he has given me excellent care. Hes directed me through a number of procedures. Couldnt ask for a better quarterback. Dr. Dombrowski has performed arthroscopy on both of my knees with terrific success. He has also performed a full knee replacement for my wife. And, just 4 weeks ago he performed arthroscopy on my right shoulder. We have had our trust in Dr. Dombrowski for more than 15 years. Hes a terrific surgeon and a terrific person with the best bedside manner of any doctor Ive had. If I could give him 6 stars I would. You cant go wrong with Dr. Dombrowski.

Dr. DOMBROWSKI was awesome! I was seen quickly, assessed as having a torn ACL and torn medial meniscus. I was fit in for surgery a week later. He was very attentive, has a great staff, both office and surgical. His bedside manner is wonderful. I would highly recommend Dr. Dombrowski to anyone needing orthopedic care!

Dr. Dombroski has been awesome for our family of athletes.He was very thorough with pre-surgery options.Once we elected our college athlete to have her labrum tear repaired, he did a wonderful job. Post-op to PT to being fully cleared to play volleyball in college, he was there. Thank you!

I’ve had surgeries by Dr. Dombrowski on both my rotator cuffs and biceps with great results. I was able to swim again and bike and even did a sprint marathon! I had to follow up recently because I tweeked something around my shoulder when I had to use crutches. He is so thorough and most importantly compassionate and communicative. I am a big fan and highly recommend him. Once you work with him, you won’t want anyone else.

Dr. Dombrowski is a caring medical provider and an excellent surgeon. He replaced my right knee in August 2011 and arthroscopy on my left knee a couple of year later. I have experienced no issues with my replacement in the last 8 years. I highly recommend Dr. D for any procedures that you might be contemplating.His treatment philosophy is very conservative and he tries to exhaust all other methods of treatment before recommending surgery.My wife is now experiencing severe knee pain in her left knee and I suggested Dr. D without hesitation to her. After trying conservative measures for the last two months, with limited success, he is now going to perform arthroscopy to repair her knee.

Over the course of 18 years, Dr. Dombrowski has performed two hip replacement surgeries and, recently a repair of the older prosthesis. I’ve been very grateful for Dr. Dombrowski’s excellent abilities as a surgeon. All three operations have worked out very well. I’ve been able to remain very active, as if I had my original hips. I also appreciate that Dr. Dombrowski takes the time to explain what’s going on, and does so with care and consideration. He has made himself available to me when I’ve needed it during evening hours, and he did so graciously, without a hint of being inconvenienced. I’m putting my trust in him again to perform arthroscopic knee surgery next month.

I highly recommend Dr Dombrowski and his wonderful staff Myrla and Jackie there in McLean, Virginia. I have been going to Dr Dombrowski for about 20 years. He is highly competent and has done arthescopic surgery in both knees in 2003 (right) and 2013 (left) and total knee replacement of my right knee in September 2019. My knee replacement went very well. I was off pain medication except for prescription ALLEVE/NAPROXEN after 3 weeks and resumed driving and going to my GYM (in addition to Physical Therapy) after 4 weeks. I could not be happier with Dr Dombrowski. He is a very kind and caring Medical Professional. I trust him very much.

Dr. Dombrowski helped me as a baseball athlete return from an elbow injury. His guidance over the three month period and advanced knowledge helped me return to normal activity very quickly!

Dr. Dombrowski is amazing! He’s done arthroscopic surgery on both knees. Actively assisting me to hold out on my double knee replacement until things in my life (and other health issues) are at their most opportune. He is like the old fashioned doctor who looks at the whole person, their overall condition rather than push surgery. He is kind & compassionate. He has seen my husband & done arthroscopic knee surgery successfully as well. He keeps up with cutting edge and latest developments in his field. To give you one of many positive experiences why I recommend him as a doctor. I’m a senior and have been seeing him for my deteriorating knees for approx 7 years. A few months ago I missed a regularly scheduled appointment. Dr Dombrowskis’ office manager called my cell phone saying “the Dr asked me to call and see if you are alright because you missed an appt & didn’t call. He is concerned if you are ok?” After I informed her I had cancelled the appt online, she returned to the call and ended by saying he said “oh good, I’m relieved, it was so unlike you to not show up or call, I hoped you were ok!” That’s amazing - in 72 years I have never had a doctor to call about a missed appointment unless they wanted to charge a cancellation fee!

Dr. Dombrowski is amazing. I have rheumatoid arthritis, and have been under his care since 2012. I had bilateral TKR in 2014. And, as the result of an accident, in mid and late 2016, I had each of my lower implants replaced. Scars were surprisingly minimal; Ive seen pretty awful scars in others knee replacements. Also, when my stepdaughter has sports injuries from playing soccer, she sees Dr. Dombrowski. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Dombrowski treated my husband , and when we had no hope left, Dr. Dombrowski saved my husband’s leg. Dr.Dombrowski has treated me, as well, and we feel he is the best around. We trust and like him.

Dr. Dombrowski has always been very conscientious in seeing my family for various issues: my wife about an ankle, my son about a leg pain and me for shoulder problems. He has always been very polite and respectful and really took the time to get to know us.

Dr. Dombrowski did an outstanding job with my left knee replacement. His pre and post surgery appointments were excellent. It has been over 7 years and my knee is great. I recently used him for my right knee replacement. Once again an excellent experience. I would absolutely use Dr Dombrowski again!

I have had two surgeries done by Dr. Dombrowski. My first was in August 2015 and was a meniscus tear and in February 2019 he repaired a tear in my rotator cuff and labrum. He is a terrific doctor and I was so happy to learn that he could do my second surgery. He is a kind and caring man that builds relationshisp with his patients. When I had a concern over my recover, I was able to get him on the phone immediately and he listened to my issue and reassured me that the situation would resolve itself shortly. It did. He is willing to spend time and answer all the questions and concerns I had and he was willing to go the extra mile in explaining my recovery. He is one of my absolute favorite doctors and I would go to him again in a minute if I needed to do so.

I have had the pleasure of knowing and benefitting from Dr. Dombrowksis expertise for the past 10 years. He has clearly made a difference in my life!! The latest joint replacement was my right hip. This was done 2 weeks ago and I am able to go back to work this week. I appreciate Dr. Dombrowskis compassion and commitment to his patients. Dr. Rob has taken care of me, my wife and three kids for over 20+ years and is like part of our family. His level of care and professionalism is impressive, but he is also a genuine and engaged person that keeps our active family on our feet allowing us to live life to the fullest.

I have not personally been a patient of Dr. Dombrowski, I wanted to share my experience from the point of view of the concerned husband. Dr. Dombrowski has performed two surgeries for my wife. A replacement of her left ACL and the repair of her right meniscus. My wife is now going to have to go back for a third, replacement of her right ACL. Dr. Dombroski has always shown the patience and care not just in answering my wifes questions, but mine as well. He as come out at the end of both her previous surgeries and laid out for me her prognosis and how I can assist in recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Dombrowski to anyone who asks.
