Great service and a wonderful experience! My Dental hygienist was courteous and professional. The doctor was knowledgeable, prompt and patient with all my questions and concerns. FFDC is my new primary dental care office.

They refused to examine my 13-year-old sonToday I sent my two sons aged 22 and 13 to the Fairfax Family Dental Care dentist. The younger one has a problem with two teeth growing on the gum. My eldest son is off work on Wednesdays, so we decided to accompany the younger one and planned a tooth cleaning for him. All according to plan, until the moment 10 minutes after 12 pm (appointments start at 12 pm) they call me at work that my son does not give him the name of an insurance company. I give them everything because they are under my insurance and as they fill their paperwork they say that because 20 minutes have passed there was no time to clean my eldest sons teeth because the procedure was an hour. I have to pay a 100 fee because the boys missed this hour. I explained that I had two consecutive appointments because my youngest child had to be accompanied by an adult, but I received a response from the employee that she did not make these appointments and that the children had to stay in two separate rooms, but because my son of 13 years will not be accompanied, as they are late, will not be examined. I asked to be canceled or postpone the visit of my eldest son and to visit only my youngest son, because, in the end, his problem is the reason for being both there. They denied this possibility.I asked to speak to a doctor. The employee on the phone went to ask, but the doctor refused to talk to me and to visit my son.To me, this behavior of a dental practice, which claims to be called a Family Dental Care, is, to put it mildly, unprofessional, unacceptable, and offensive to a Family. Not to mention that my son had to miss a whole day of school because he had to go to the dentist because we live in another county, fooled that they work on weekends so that they can use their services there, on the weekends. The latter proved to be another disappointment. After a phone call from me and a desire to make an appointment for the first free Saturday or Sunday, I was told quite rudely that two teeth growing crooked on the gums werent urgent and that I would call Monday after eight to make an appointment. Should have understood then, that things here are not what anyone is trying to show them.I would not recommend this dentist to anyone, quite the contrary.To me, they are just people interested in their profits, not family needs, as they try to suggest by their name. What a pity.A free piece of advice from me to you, dear Fairfax Family Dental Care: send your new clients all the documentation your paperwork requires in advance, so you dont waste precious time. Be more flexible or remove this parade you are caring for the familys needs. I attach a screenshot of your SMS, where it is clear that I have two consecutive hours reserved for my children.Shame on you, dentist, for not examining my 13-year-old son.

The hygienist and doctor at Fairfax Family Dental Care were knowledgeable, professional, courteous and friendly. They consistently provide excellent care.

My wife, 5-year old son, and myself visited this practice for the first time and we were impressed. No wait, quality service, and very knowledgeable staff. Ms. Elaine and Dr. Kamali were great. I recommend 👍

I’m a new patient so I’m not sure how the dental doctors over there will be like. But I tried to make an appointment but the person I talked to seemed have a little bit of attitude. If they would be nicer and more patience to new customers, I’d be much more appreciated.

The staff & the office is very nice, but do not book here unless you can afford your insurance plan (my service s we’re $1750 ish & my dental plan only covers $1,000) . Once I told Dr. Kamali that i could not afford $700 today he just got up & walked out w/out saying good-bye. Bottom line ‘Give me the money or move up out of my face .’

Yesterday I scheduled a dental Urgence appointment because my crown fell. It was my first time in Fairfax Family Dental Care, but I have never scheduled an appointment with a dentist so rude and got upset , ( I don’t know why) who is Dr.TOURAJ KAMALI. I don’t know what happened because I needed only an profissional dentistry ( it’s not free I was paying for this this treatment). He doesn’t have any compassion that something expect a doctor to possess. He asked things that until now I don’t understand.Really I have never come back in this office, with Dr. TOURAJ KAMALI and I’ve never recommended him for anyone. He is unprofessional, horrible!

Outdated and overpriced.If you’re looking for knowledgeable professionals and a comfortable ambiance this is NOT the dental practice to go to.They lack modern technology, the receptionists are not pleasant to deal with and the dentist came in for 2 mins and walked out with little to no feedback on my teeth after my cleaning as a new patient.They also sneaked in an xray that insurances do not cover. Always ask about prices and what’s included in routine procedures.

My dental hygienist is always super friendly! I moved into DC, but keep coming back because the experience is so personable. Definitely worth the drive and they’re always very thorough .

I had a few hygienists and they are all great.I originally went to this location for an emergency root canal a few years ago and decided to stick with them because of the great experience and service I had. Totally worth the 40 min drive.

DONT RECOMMEND! Not worth it. Went for a typical clean up & ended up paying $180 out of pocket. Doctor didnt even check if my insurance would cover bs X-Ray. Location & equipment is very outdated. Old library. Doctor rushed me in & out. Front staff have slick comments. FIRST & LAST TIME COMING HERE. Go to Dr. Park (Karis Dental), he’s 1,000 % better. Check the reviews.

Poor experience, and the customer service was awful. Be very attentive, they will schedule appointments for you, and then send you a random reminder the day before your scheduled appointment. If you try to cancel, they threaten to charge you $100.... Why would I pay $100 to cancel an appointment that I didnt schedule??!!!!

I have only been coming to Fairfax Family Dental since Oct 2020. I stumbled upon then because of a bad tooth (isn’t that why we end up seeing half the dentists we do?).Anyway, I’ve had two cleanings, a root canal, a crown, extracted a tooth chips that was broken off from my wisdom tooth being pulled in 1991.Fairfax Family Dental has been around for years, I’m sorry I didn’t know them years ago. Their services are amazingly priced and open Sundays for emergencies (this is how I met Dr. Kamali). The staff is friendly, kind and personable. They have high tech X-rays machines and take lots of photos of your jaw line, profile and of course teeth. You feel like your there forever your first visit (and you kinda are with all the X-rays) but at least now I have a baseline in case my jaw begins to shift or some movement in teeth. *Getting old bites- no pun intended! LoLHighly recommend this practice! And they have dinosaurs. Very large dinosaurs!! ❤️

These people are thieves. I lack the correct word to describe them. On their website they indicate that it’s free consultation for all new patients, yet they billed me over 400 USD for X-rays and an extraction as a new patient. The dentist could not clearly explain why it cost up to 400 USD but I was in so much pain and needed to be treated, so in that confusion I ended up just paying. I would NOT recommend anyone to use their services.

Caring for my young children’s are stellar. Thank you very much for the grate care. Kids are so comfortable with their dentist visits and procedures. They are braver than I was at that age.

I put in an emergency online request near midnight on a Friday and was shocked to receive a call in minutes. I’m not sure who I spoke to but Dr Kamali and his staff were wonderful performing my root canal the following morning. Medications were ready at the pharmacy on my way home. I’m very grateful and happy with the professional, compassionate care I received.

My experience was exceptional with this practice and the professionalism and customer service, from the staff, was excellent. I searched the Internet for a practice that would accept me, on an emergent basis, and this practice accepted my request on 2/5 at 5:30pm. I drove 23 miles from D.C. to Fairfax, and the drive was well worth it. Dr Simanek performed my root canal and temporary crown procedures during this appointment while ensuring my comfort, explaining steps during the process and performed quality care and service without rushing due to the closing hours. The procedures were completed, I left satisfied and medications called in prior to my departure with strict discharge instructions given. Lastly, I was impressed when I departed the MD and Dental Asst. not only walked me to the door and unlocked it but due to the time, they escorted me to the parking lot, where I was the last car remaining and they ensured I made it to my car, safety without me even asking or expecting them to do so.Great job and healthcare quality is paramount...Fairfax Family Dental Care has won my business!!!Thanks

The way that they talk to people and treat people over the phone is absolutely incorrigible. And it’s the office staff manager as she calls her self. Such a shame. I’ve always loved my hygienist and dentist.

Dr. Kirksey is the best dentist ever and so are the rest of the dentists in their facility. Their staff is courteous, their prices are low, they are very good to people, and they have the best facility.

I was amazed at how gentle the hygienist was. I needed a deep cleaning. This is typically painful. However, I was pleased with her caring hands. Painful later, but it was worth it to have healthy gums and teeth.

Completely satisfied with my treatment at this practice. I first went when Id broken a tooth and my regular dentist was closed. Dr. Simanek and his staff were very clear on what they were doing and why. No dental work is totally pain-free but this was as close to pain-free as it could be. I later went back for a cleaning as my regular dentist is still closed due to the COVID-19 situation and the hygienist was superb -- very thorough and still a very light touch. The practice has very good hygiene practices. I would recommend them.

They are always professional but their bedside (chairside) manner makes you feel at ease. I have been using them for the last 15+ years. I am very satisfied with the level of care I receive there.

Dr. Kamali and his assistant were amazing. In great pain all day Saturday I called all the dentists that listed 24x7 emergency services. Most didn’t even answer. The few that did said they were closed and one was downright rude. Sunday morning still in pain I tried once more and by God’s Grace found Fairfax Family Dental Care. Dr. Kamali answered the phone and said he would meet me at his office. He took care of everything quickly, professionally, affordably, and most of all compassionately. This is my only dentists office from now on. They demonstrated that they really care about their patients.

I love this practice! I started going because of a dental emergency. Dr. Kamala (Not sure Im spelling that right) took great care of me, and the members of his staff were kind, funny, and gentle. Ive been back for a cleaning and was amazed at the gentle touch and straightforward advice. Nobody made me ferl like i am a terrible persom fot not flossing enough. They didnt teach me how to floss which i find so condescending! Nobody likes going to the dentist, but Fairfax Family Dental makes it a positive experience. I highly recommend them!

I am so happy with the work done by Dr. Kamali and his Dental Assistant (Diana). I had an emergency tooth extraction last Sunday, and I am extremely satisfied. First, both he and Diana were very nice and very friendly which helped a lot in easing anxiety of an otherwise unpopular oral surgery. The extraction itself was painless...utterly painless. Now 2 days later, I still have no post-surgery discomfort. I cant believe how much pain I was in...and now nothing! Dr Kamali is a life saver! Thank you!!

I have been a patient here for more than 10 years now. They are very efficient. You never have to wait long from the time you check in to the time you see who you came to see.They really pay attention to your file and know when you are due for x-rays too.Great quality work and friendly staff.

They really came through for me. The pain was so bad on Saturday that I could barely function. On the next morning, I was in and out in about 2 hours with a completed root canal. Two days later, I no longer even need the pain meds I was prescribed. Yes, they did expect the full co-pay amount same day, but the cost was reasonable for the service provided. From my understanding, they are more stern about payments on the weekend. Im just fortunate I had the money because the pain was unbearable.

Like many people, I have a great phobia of going to the dentist. Because of that, I dont go regularly as I should.This is the first dentist Ive found that I will definitely go back to on a regular basis. I had a tooth emergency Sunday before Christmas. My fear & pain had me in tears. The dentist and his staff had me at ease and extracted my tooth so quickly with no pain. His patience could not be surpassed.

By far the best dental experience I have ever had. I dread the dentist most times, but they make visits quick, painless, and even enjoyable at times. Also, cant recommend Dr. Milan Simanek enough. Theres on specific dental assistant to who is phenomenal, but her name is escaping me. Overall great place.

Horrible service. I had a dental emergency and called around. A few offices opened on the weekends needed over 1,000 upfront and I would get reimbursed by my insurance. Call Fairfax family dental and was told they would bill my insurance Monday. I travel an hour there, in excruciating pain, only to find out they wanted 1250 upfront. The receptionist then lied when the dentist asked her what I said. Thankfully I found another reasonable office.

Having a dental emergency a day before your wedding is never pleasant. But it meant that I was introduced to the best dental facility I could have hoped for. I want to thank the lady that answered the phone on Tuesday March 31, 2020 @ 3:30pm I told her I want to remove a tooth, I have too much pain, she told me come at 4pm same day. By 5:15pm my tooth been removedI want to thank Dentist MILAN for removing that tooth without feeling any pain on or after.I want to do the implant with them but its too expensive for me.

Check in was good, and front staff was friendly. Dental hygienist did a great job cleaning my teeth and was friendly. I had not been to dentist in about a year and a half, so I had some issues that needed attention. I was able to quickly get appointments for follow up care. The dental suites were large and well lit. I would recommend to you friends.

I would recommend my dentist and his associates without reservation. In fact, the entire staff at the front desk to the dental chair is wonderful. Their skill, professionalism and sensitivity to my personal circumstances is beyond expectations. I have no fear of going to the dentist now and even look forward to my next visit. I was never able to declare that until I began going to them.

I found this office on Goggle under emergency cosmetic dentistry. I traveled all the way to Virginia. I went to have an unsightly chipped bonding on my front tooth repaired because Im going on a trip. The office took regular and Arial ex rays of my entire head. This probably wont be covered by my insurance company. The dentist would not repair the chipped bonding temporarily so that it wouldnt be unsightly on my trip. He offered to remove teeth and said that it would cost approx. 5000.00. His bedside manner was not good. It appeared that he only wanted to do an expensive job. I know that I need the work done and I plan to have it done. But I will not do it there because they would not help me with the temporary job. I found another dentist who was willing to do the temporary work so that I would feel comfortable on my trip. Ill pay his office the 5000.00 to do the permanent work. This office wants money,money,money.

Elaine is a great hygienist. She is very personable and gentle on teeth and never fails to give a throrough cleaning. She always remembers details about my personal life and she makes routine cleanings enjoyable. I have been coming to her for years.

We went there recommended by a dentist friend for a second opinion on my son’s dental work. Dr. Kirksey was amazing, he spend over an hour with us, very personable and knowledgeable, he made sure we - including my son- understood everything and explained the whole procedure that he recommended for him. We got a free first consultation with panoramic X-rays and 3D pictures of his mouth. We are so please with the way he treated us that we can’t wait to start treatment there.

This is an excellent family dentist office. The doctors, nurses, and entire staff are warm, friendly, sensitive and quite knowledgeable. Concerned about transparency - I am looking for new dentist because we moved. I called this office and they were nice to make appointment fast but then I started to read the reviews and got scared. Called the office to make sure that I dont get stock with an unreasonable bill. And they could not tell me how much it would const to visit and how the insurance payment would be processed. With so much unknown, I feel I am at risk. Hope I can find a dentist honest and transparent like my current one just close to me.

The hygentist was the only reason Im giving 2 stars she was wonderful. The rest of the experiance was awful. Over the phone they said they could do work the same day, and when we drove almost a hour to get there they said they where too busy. The doctor had no bedside manners. It was definitely not worth the drive. Save your time and go somewhere else.

My wife recently broke her bonding tooth. After searching quite a few places who takes a Dental emergency on Sunday Fairfax Family Dental Care happened to be one and Dr. Kamali took amazing care of her . Dr. Kamali explained the process thoroughly and suggested the best option for her which we should have done 5 years ago. And i paid less amount for Posterior crown than what i paid for bonding for her before. He is fantastic ! I will definitely recommend my friends and families ,also to anyone in need of dental work.

I just had a cleaning and polish, my insurance covers so no billing issues. The reminder system of text messages and calls were helpful keeping me on track for the appointment. Arrived 15 minutes before schedule signed in waited 10 Min and then I was called. Hygienist did a great job was not rough at all. Easy access and plenty of parking. This was my second visit and everything went as smooth as the first visit.

Fairfax Family Dental Care provided excellent care recently when I found myself in need of dental work. I dont have a regular dentist in the area and FFDC was able to accommodate me with an appointment the next day. The doctors and staff did a wonderful job. I plan to use them again in the future.

Dr Kamali is great . But the dental assistants are the worst ones I have ever had.Without assessing they used the biggest instruments to open my mouth and I have a small mouth.They kept on telling me open you mouth you can open more.They kept on speaking hispanic.They need some more training.Awful women.Five stars for Dr Kamali .NONE FOR THOSE DENTAL ASSISTANTS.

Just had a root canal done yesterday by Dr. Kamali. It was fast and painless. Extremely happy with the visit. All staff are friendly and professional. Also had a cleaning done, again very happy. They all make you feel comfortable. No problem recommending them.

This place is a rip-off operation from start to finish. I didnt realize this was why they spent so long taking photos. They must have been sued numerous times already. Dont trust any of their advice! And, for sure, dont trust their representations about what your insurance company will reimburse -- if only you will pay 100% of their inflated charges up front.They will put fake numbers in an official-looking chart to help convince you. And, they will sell it like the snake oil salesmen they are. Dont go here! Dont let your family go here! And, for Petes sake, dont trust a word they say! I wish I could give 0 stars.

Dr Kerkset was fantastic. He took his time explaining everything. He was seriously interested in me and what I needed in the future. It was an unexpected great visit. I would recommend his dental care as would my wife who was also treated there.
