She is by far the most professional, courteous, caring and helpful human being ever.I have never experienced pain like this before and I was out of town when it happened. She called me right back on a weekend and did her best to make me comfortable by calling in a prescription of antibiotics.. My vacation ended very early and I booked a flight back to Virginia. Dr Ortega is the best dentist bar none. I have been a patient of hers for more than 20 years. I had many dentists in the 40 years before her and only 1, who was based in Massachusetts, came close to her level of ability. Honestly I never liked going to dentist but when cleaning or fillings were needed. My first time coming to Dr.Ortega was about two weeks ago, and was recommended by my mother in law and needless to say the service was amazing. I thank Dr. Ortega for her excellent services.I live in North Carolina and have been visiting the local Dentist chain(s) for more than 9 years. So far, based on my dentist(s)’ recommendations, I have done a few tooth fillings, one root canal treatment along with my regular bi-annual cleanings. Other than that, during my visits, I am told that everything is great with my teeth.Recently, while visiting my daughter in Virginia, I happened to Meet Dr. Ortega. She was the first dentist who, with just a glance at my teeth, pointed out that I have been grinding my teeth a lot and had flattened off a few of my teeth. Her observation turned out to be spot on.I did have constant sensitivity issues with my teeth, but none of the dentists pointed out to be the reason. Instead, they all prescribed me sensitivity toothpaste.During my second visit, she did a complete examination and again rightly pointed out that a few of my teeth had developed sensitivity due to grinding habits and receding gum!!!Dr. Ortega not only fixed the sensitivity issues but also prepared a night guard to alleviate my teeth grinding. Above all, during her thorough examination, she identified many issues like damaged fillings, cracks, and many others, which I never even knew I had!!!She took exceptional care of my dental issues and fixed all my dental issues.I am deeply thankful for Dr. Ortega for her exceptional service and always putting the Patients first and doing what is good for the patients

Dr. Ortega did my filling, cleaning, and extracted my upper two wisdom teeth. Needless to say it was a seamless and calming experience. I was slightly nervous in the beginning as I have never been through any of the procedures or even had anesthetic before. Dr. Ortega made sure to let me know that I was in good hands and helped me stay calm. I did not feel a thing when I received the anesthetic!!!! It was actually quite fun. Even if there was a slight pinch Dr. Ortega walked me through the entire procedure to let me know what exact sensation I was going to feel. As well as with the extraction of the wisdom teeth she made sure I knew that there may be slight pressure and I may feel slight pulling. I loved this as I knew exactly what to expect, being that I was a first timer. The extractions were done so smoothly that both were out within 5 MINUTES !!!!! I did not feel any pain and in fact I was so consumed by Dr. Ortega’s conversation and the views outside the windows of the office that I did not even know the teeth had been pulled out !!!! I can go on and on about the pleasant experience that I had, but what I felt in the end was that I was taken care of and that Dr. Ortega genuinely cares about the health of my teeth. It can be seen with the extra steps that she takes to make sure I was taken care of in every aspect whether it be with the technique of the procedures themselves or the atmosphere of the office with the scenic views and calming scents. My experience with Dr. Ortega has been very good. She educates you on what is required during any regular checkup or major work that needs to be done that day. She goes above and beyond to help her clients understand the diagnosis. For example, I needed a filling due to a deep pocket on one of my tooth where food particles were getting stuck. I am beyond pleased with Dr. Ortegas office staff, assistant, and Dr. Ortega herself. When I went in for my consultation, Dr. Ortega was so patient and spent an hour just getting to know me and what I wanted done with my teeth (I was interested in bonding). She was not the only dentist I had made a consultation with and was disappointed when the other dentists spent only 10 minutes and didnt really listen to my needs or concerns.Moral of the story, Dr. Ortega is so thorough and pays strict attention to detail, all the while making sure I am comfortable and as pain free as possible. Dentistry is art...from its something as small as filling a tooth to something as complex as full mouth dental implant, the result is a piece of art. I am so impressed with Dr Ortegas desire to learn the latest dental advances so that clients like me can continue to benefit from the latest and the best. I have gotten fillings/etc, an implant, crowns, whitening, and Invisalign. I am so happy with all the results. I get so many compliments on my teeth, especially, after Invisalign. Dr Ortega is very patient, and when she makes recommendations, she doesnt put pressure on me to buy things. Her recommendations are made out of necessity or are improvements to the appearance of my teeth. She is understand of my financial situation... meaning, I prefer to use money set aside in my Flexible Spending Account (FSA) than in my pocket. She works with me to identify work that must be done now and then those can wait until next year so that I can take advantage of the FSA tax savings. Dr Ortega is very conservative when it comes to my teeth. She prefers to do what she can to save my tooth while informing me of the possibilities in the future, the next level of work might be needed. For example, when one of my teeth was fractured, she did what she could to save the tooth to avoid an implant. She did a couple of deep cleaning and antibiotics, and when they failed, then we went to the implant option. Dr Ortega is very honest and I trust her completely. She is very informative and explains the procedure and set expectations before performing the work. When I dont understand something, she always is very patient in explaining things in details. I am so pleased with her professionalism and the results of the work she performed on my teeth, and thats why I stay with her all these years. Highly recommend her!!

Having been to a number of dentists in the past, I can say without reservation that Dr. Ortega is the very best. I experienced throbbing pain and wasnt able to get a good nights sleep. Dr. Ortega diagnosed me immediately and as it turned out, I needed to have a root canal done. The idea of it scared me, but Dr. Ortega put me at ease by explaining everything very thoroughly before getting started. Needless to say, my root canal procedure was as painless as possible. I am able to sleep well again. Shes the only dentist I now trust for quality dental care.

I had my 4 wisdom teeth removed recently, and I was expecting a lot more pain and for the procedure to be harder than what it was. Dr. Ortega is very good at not getting anything to hurt, from getting the anesthetic to the extractions themselves. She is extremely thorough and called me the evening of the day of my appointment to see how I was doing and to give advice for recovery process.. She returns all emails in a very timely fashion, and when I needed a stronger pain medication, she called my pharmacy right away and had them fill it for me. Rebecca, the assistant, did a great job at keeping me calm and pain free as well.. I love Dental Cosmetix!

After nine months my Invisaline is finally complete and Im so glad I finally did it! I cant get how easy it was and how much it improved my smile. I fought it for years and kept telling Dr. Ortega I would end up never wearing my retainers. Well im here to report they were a breeze to wear and I can honestly say I kind of enjoyed wearing them. They were easy to pop in and out when I needed to eat and cleaning them was easy too. I now tell anyone that will listen to get invisaline if you need it you will be very glad you did.
