Had enough of the unresponsiveness of her office. It usually took at least 1-3 days to get a call back because she does not have someone picking up the phone even on a daily basis to make appointments. This time it took them 10 days. A lukewarm apology doesnt cut that anymore. I needed urgently an appointment because I was in pain due to a car accident (and left a message accordingly) and one for a regular check up. Because she would not let me have all my concerns taken care of in one visit - previously I had to schedule another one. Supposedly my Insurance company required that. Im guessing it had more to do with her being paid more when there are two visits. Causing me to have to wait again for an appointment that could not be scheduled right away. At my last personal visit she obviously had no notes about my previous visit and I definitely know that and when I was there because I needed quite a few tests and an okay from her to travel to my home country to donate stem cells for my brothers leukemia treatment. She is connected to Inova but since she keeps only handwritten records they are not in the system and visible to my other doctors or me. I can understand that she cares a lot about her grandchild but canceling appointments, that are difficult to get in the first place?! All in all I had been very patient but come to the conclusion: This doctor organizes her office just not professional enough.

This place is very bad. The doctor has no medical ethics. He only knows how to make you pay. He wont refund you if he takes too much money. The service is very poor. He doesnt do anything. He just asks a few questions and then asks you to go home. He then asks several hundred yuan. I hope what you see wont go there! After reading her, I saw a comment on the website that her medical skills were poor

Dr. Zhu is a hidden gem. I love that her office is clean and simple, with no distracting TVs or music. Her staff are professional and helpful. Dr. Zhu approaches health issues from both the Western and Eastern perspectives and is highly knowledgeable about both as an MD and acupuncturist. Shes also a good listener and open to her patients preferences. Ive been receiving acupuncture for an injured shoulder - including electroacupuncture to enhance the treatment - and I felt immediate relief after the first session. Not to mention the acupuncture room has a heated bed and is dark and relaxing -- I even heard birds chirping while I received the treatment.

Highly knowledgeable and experienced doctor! As she is an MD she has the unique skill to applyWestern medicine in conjunction with accupuncture to achieve results. Great bedside manner! I did a lot of research on accupuncturists before selecting. Dr. Zhu and Im very happy I did. She helped my chronic pain more than physical therapy or the pain management specialists. Thank you Dr. Zhu and staff!

I drive all the way from DC to come to this doctor because she is a good acupuncturist. I really love coming to this place for my acupuncture it’s awesome to be able to get acupuncture from a Chinese trained US board-certified MD.

One thing to beware of: if they say they participate in your insurance they will still want full payment upfront. Then they bill your insurance and cut you a check when they get paid. That runs contrary to every other participating health care provider I have ever seen. Usually you pay your co-pay upfront. So, they see you first as a potential bad debt, second as a patient. They do not trust you but want you to trust them. Not good.

Not informed in advance, they ordered unnecessary items that insurance will not cover in a physical exam. I had to pay hundreds of bucks.Without advance notice, the medical examination will increase the items not covered by insurance.
