Best dentist office in Fairbanks. The staff and the drs make going to the dentist a pleasant experience.I would recommend everyone needing some work done to go to Bast Dental .

Dr. Fred Bast has been my dental provider for decades and practically every tooth in my mouth has been revitalized with his proficient care. Only recently has his son, Dr. John Bast, replaced my 70 year old #30 & 31 molars with implants and my #7 (front tooth) laminate to secure my smile vanity. I don’t waste any time making an appointment to see these guys whenever I have an issue with my teeth. Five stars from me for them!!

By far the best dental experience I have ever had. The cleaning was thorough and the tech was so kind and held a conversation (she must have sensed my anxiousness). The x-ray tech was quick and kind as well! The male dentist I saw was very respectful, patient, and thorough with explaining what I needed done and why. Im looking forward to going back!

After avoiding the dentist for most of my adult life, I scheduled an appt at Dr. Basts office. Upon arriving, I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff, who were very helpful. They made me feel comfortable while I was waiting, which wasnt long! After an in-depth examination, Dr. Bast took the time to explain to me what he had found and answered all of my questions thoroughly. He also gave me several options for treatment, so that I could choose which would work best for my situation. I found this same level of care to be consistent with the hygienist, who reviewed flossing techniques with me, and gave me several products to help with home care. Whether you are looking to become an established patient, or have a specific concern you would like addressed, I would highly recommend Dr. Bast and his staff!

The best dentist in town, John and Bekah went above and and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and they were very fast.

Nicest dentist I have ever been to. Very positive interaction with Dr. Bast, the hygenist, and the staff. I hadnt been to the dentist in a couple years, but they didnt make me feel ashamed about that, but were happy to start getting me back in the habit of regular appointments.

After not being to a dentist in years, I went to see Dr. John Bast about a filling that had fallen out. He was very nice and explained what we needed to do to get it fixed. He walked me through procedures and made sure I was doing okay. Hes a great dentist and has great assistants! I would recommend him to all of my family and friends. Thank you Dr. John!

Dr. Bast and his staff are welcoming, friendly, and time efficient. My cleanings have always been quick, painless, and thorough and their office was even able to fit me in last minute when my wisdom teeth exctractions (which were not done by Dr. Bast) got infected. I have had no problems at this office and would high recommend this dental team!

I had two crowns on my front teeth done by another dentist that were really bulky and yellow, Dr.Bast re-did the crowns and now they are beautiful, they fit my smile perfect and are so white. I get told all the time how beautiful my teeth are. Would recommend him to everyone!

I recently had a crown done at this office. Dr. Bast and his team were friendly and efficient. Dr. Bast took time to address any questions I had and even followed up to see how the crown was working out.The hygienist is awesome-she was great with my kids and made a balloon animal for my son!!

I dont like dentists, but I like this one. Everyone in the office is great to work with and genuinely friendly. They can usually get me in whenever I need with no issues.

Dr. Bast and his office is kind, efficient, and caring of its patients. Every time I have work to be completed they work with my schedule to find a time that will work with my hours and living in a remote area. I wouldnt go anywhere else!

Dr.John Bast made me a night guard, Ive never been able to tolerate night guards but he made me two different kinds and I was able to find one that works for me. He also did some fillings on me and it was the first time Ive had dental work and it didnt hurt and I was in and out quickly. Very impressed with his office.

I started seeing Dr.Bast about 10 years ago. I came in with a lot of cavities, and discomfort. He was able to restore my smile and with all the information and hygiene instructions I have been cavity free for 9 years! I recently brought my 4year old in, and both Dr.Bast and the hygienist made it an excellent experience for him.

With as bad as your teeth are, Ill be able to buy a new airplane after Im done with you. -Dr. Bast. (This was the last time I went to his office. Id rather a dentist who cared about my welfare than one who cared about the money I gave him.)

For the first time ever i had a good experience at the dentist. Ive felt in the past hurried and pressured, like they were trying to push me through. Not today as the staff was truly friendly and did their jobs with a real smile on thrir faces. Just a good cleaning and check up and out the door.

I get extremely nervous/anxious when I have fillings that need to be done. My dentist was very fast and I felt no pain at all. By the end of my appointment I felt relaxed and at ease.

I used to be afraid, or at least nervous to see a dentist. NEVER again since Ive been coming here. Dr. Bast as well as his staff are the best Ive ever seen. They are fast, efficient, (relatively) painless, do superb work, and make me feel comfortable and happy to be there while theyre at it. They answer any questions I have and educate me as to my own self-care gracefully. And theyre right there to bail me out when I botch my self care or wait too long to come in. My husbands bridge was loose and Dr. John Bast took his time to remove it and re-cement it, saving us the cost of having to buy a new bridge. He had a few other procedures done as well and was highly satisfied with Dr. Bast and his work.

Everyone was accommodating and efficient, I had a great experience at Bast Dental and would highly recommend them!

The whole staff is prompt, polite, and considerate. The only suggestion I would have might be ear phones for those of us who get nervous with the sound of the drill.

Update 6/9/2016- I received the Explanation of benefits from my insurance and I was happy to see that I owed 2 dollars! That was for a cleaning, x-rays and the doctors exam! Staff seemed nice enough but the dentist was not good with children at all. Not expecting to be billed for a filling that lasts only a couple days.

New to area and I found a good dentist!
