I made an appointment and got my hair cut. The barber did an amazing job and I got my eyebrows arched for free.

Very friendly guys! They certainly cared about their customer service here. The owner took care of me after an initial haircut I didn’t like. By far the best hair cut Ive gotten in Fairbanks. I got a mid-skin fade with an undercut. The fade was super clean. The barber actually used a straight razor when I asked for skin, unlike most places Ive been too. The cut took a little more time than Im used to and cost a little more than other places. But it was well worth it.

35$ to get my face sliced up, but the actual cut wasn’t bad.

I believe his name is “Jeazy” I know for a fact I mis-spelled (sorry man) but this guy gave me the best cut I’ve gotten since I started looking for different barbers. I’ve been to great clips, sport clips, some local barbers and one or two salons and JD was the only place that gave me EXACTLY what I wanted. They charge a fair price and deserve the tip (should you decide to leave one). As I said earlier though, if you’re looking to check it out please check J out. He’s also got some cool car knowledge and stories so it’s not boring and quiet like other places.

Whats the point of appointments if Ima have to wait almost an hour past to get a cut. Im sure yall do great cuts but I wasnt going to wait any longer past an appointment.

Devon has been cutting my hair for the past two years. When I moved here from CT, I was worried about where I would go to maintain the style which my Italian Barber in Hartford had perfected. A colleague recommended JD Styles. Devon takes her time and has perfected the ultimate skin fade! I receive compliments weekly on how amazing my hair looks and everyone always asks who does my hair. One time, I was shopping at Safeway West when a couple was admiring my skin fade. They said, “That’s a great fade! Do you have that done by Devon at JD Styles?” I replied, “Yes, Devon! At JD Styles! She does an awesome job!”

A 5 isnt high enough of a rating for the team here at JD Styles! Excellent customer service from the moment we walked in the door. The professionalism and knowledge this team has is the best Ive seen in all of Fairbanks and North Pole area. This was our first visit here and definitely not the last. Keep up the great work yall!

Excellent stylists there, every single cut walking through was great. Overall atmosphere is comfortable and the stylist made sure I was 100% satisfied with my cut before I walked back out the door. Would reccomend and I would go back for another cut.

My haircut and black mask facial was done by Matthew. The service was excellent and so was the atmosphere of the shop. The 2 barbers in the shop were friendly and approachable and this was my first time in the shop. I showed Matthew a picture of what I was going for and he delivered beyond what I was expecting. Prices are reasonable and budget friendly and service is top notch.

Kim is a very deliberate, thoughtful stylist and shaped up my pixie grow-out just as I asked. Although shes an apprentice, Im certain she will establish her base in no time. Both her and the overseeing stylist were kind and down to earth. 5 stars.

Matthew Rogers is the man and he put passion behind my cut. Through the whole process he made sure everything was line up evenly and went ahead to correct the smallest of detail, that is what an ideal barber do. This was the first time trying JD styles out and i can say i was impressed.👌

I have walked in 2 times without an appointment and was met by friendly people. And within 5 minutes I was in a chair getting my haircut. Both times I got the exact haircut I asked for. I am definitely going to return!

Always love to come and get my haircut from Glaecias. Probably on the higher prices for a barbershop around town, but its for a reason. All the barbers know exactly what theyre doing, and put pride into their work.

The barber I had did a good job, but I dont feel as if the military haircut that I received was a $40 haircut, yes I said $40! I dont have enough hair to warrant a $40 cut, and Ive been in the military for more than 30 years and have NEVER paid that much for a basic cut, even when the barber has used a straight razor.Again, they did a good job, but I wont be going back.

I have been getting my haircut for over 20 years and JD Styles is the first Barbershop that I have seen shut down to thoroughly clean the shop. The shop has been upgraded and looks amazing Gee is very accommodating to the customers. This is the only barbershop I would recommend in Fairbanks.

Not sure if it was the female stylist was new or the fact they arent very good at fine hair, but my 11 yo son walked out with a Hack Job, which I didnt notice because they styled it with pomade. I give a great tip, as I mostly always do. I was furious the next day when his hair was washed and I could see crazy different lengths of hair... a mess!

G is the best barber in Alaska. I live in Anchorage during the winter (tough to find a good barber here) but if Im in Fairbanks for work in the summer and need a cut - this is the only place I will go. Quality establishment, quality barbers.

Nice hair cut with a fair beard trim after waiting an hour despite having an appointment. I understand an establisment being busy and am not an overly impatient person, but my time is valuable....hence making the appointment in the first place. Prices are about average for premium cuts and trims. I would advise allotting an hour longer for you appointment at least, as this barber is busy. Too busy in my opinion.

Asked for a fade and they said they knew what I was talking about . They took forever as if they didnt know how to cut .then when they are almost done I get cut. Didnt put shaving cream or nothing. Looked lost poor service. I should of known better Im from NJ used to good barbers not amateurs

Im sure the stylists are awesome, but I wouldnt know because they were supposed to open at ten and theres still no one here. I waited for 15 minutes and went somewhere else. Another potential customer did the same, waited and eventually left.

Tried using their app to book an appointment, it didnt work. Tried to use google under the BOOK, but yet again, no appointment. Need a better way to get new clients in, besides waiting an hour for a fade. When I called, was told, rudely, I let you book it this way this one time, but not again, what kind of service is that?

Made a appt. Showed up for my appt and the shop was closed waited 15mins past the opening time and no one showed up. Not a very good first impression.

Finally found a barber who knows what they’re doing. Gee was all about attention to detail and gave me the best fade I’ve had in a long time. For some reason that’s very hard to find up here in Alaska. Will definitely recommend to all my military friends.

The barber will put someone else in your slot and will not let you know in advance.there is a 10 dollar deposit for appointments scheduled using Booksy and you must cancel 24 hours in advance. I went in and got the older guy to the left of the door. Asked for a medium fade and a little off the top. Left with a damn high and tight looking like a damn retard. He seriously took almost all the hair off my head. This is the second time Ive been to JDs. The first time I had the blonde. She did a great job. Im currently on my way to the PX on post to see if they can fix it. Horrible experience. Probably wont go back. Paid $20 for the worst haircut in my life.

Used to go to JD all the time until one time. I had an appointment and was on time taking off my coat, a person JD knew walked in. The guy asked JD if he could get hair cut. JD said sure sit down I will cut it right now. I stood their and could not believe it. Several years getting my hair cut their and this is how he treats a customer. Nope walked out and have never been back.

Customer service is poor. I had to wait an hour and a half for a haircut several times. $25 for a cut. Dont make appointments with them. They keep them in their books, but dont follow through with them. 👎🏿
