We wish we could could give more than 5 stars. Went in to pick up glasses order and were pleasantly greeted by Kristine Osterberg. From our first encounter until we left, she was incredibly helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, far beyond what we could have ever expected. This experience alone will bring us back to Stanton time and time again.

Dirty!!! Dirt and dust everywhere, quite shocking for this type of business when you have to try glasses on and they touch your face. Friendly staff, but the condition of the store + lack of stylish options caused me to change my mind about our next exam & buying new glasses here again.

My experience with Stanton Optical in 2017 was so favorable, I returned after pandemic restrictions started lifting in late Spring of 2021. I was impressed by courtesy of the staff & their process for sanitizing any frames I touched or tried on BEFORE returning them to the display racks. I was also pleased at the large variety of colored frames to choose from. In particular I so appreciate the assistance & exceptional customer service that Alicia provided. As I am very nearsighted, selecting & trying in frames is always a challenge, yet her support totally streamlined the process & she truly knows her craft. I require frames that are large enough to accommodate blended bifocals although not so large that they distort my vision or give the appearance of fish goggles; Alicia was quickly able to guide my selections & help narrow down my choices, while educating me in the process. Due to my schedule I had to return the next day for an eye exam via telehealth & I was impressed how smooth that process was, having full confidence with the accuracy of my prescription. After ordering two pair of glasses at an EXCELLENT price (including blended bifocals, thinner lens material, anti-scratch & anti-reflective, plus polarized sunglasses), Alicia assured me I would receive my new glasses in approximately 2 weeks. Much to my delight, I was notified 8 days later that both pair of glasses were ready for pickup! Again, the pickup process was very smooth & the staff were easily able to adjust the temples of my new glasses for the perfect fit. I could not possibly be more pleased with my new glasses & especially the outstanding customer service that Alicia & other staff provided. Well done, Stanton Optical!

It’s was very busy day on my first appointment, the staff was so friendly, great customer service I was very happy. My husband and I went to Stanton Optical for him to get eye exam and new glasses. The eye exam was first rate, the best my husband ever had very professional found TWO different pairs of glasses. The girl had my husband try on each pair and she marked the lense. She rang us up and said glasses would be ready in two weeks. I looked on line to see status and that’s when I discovered that there were tow of the same glasses. I called and sure enough that’s what happened. So, now my husband and I have to go to pick up the one pair and try to find another pair and wait another two weeks and freckles back to the store yet again. I am more then annoyed, I am very angry that she ( will not mention her name) made such a mistake. She was very quick to ring us up and get the money, but not quick enough to complete the service correctly. My advice is read the paperwork very carefully.I saw two pairs, the price was correct but she messed up. Be careful when you shop at that store

It was my first time at Stanton Optical. I always see and hear about their buy one get one frame deal so that is what got me in there. Once I was there I was told that the deal was not a part of insurance but I qualified for some sort of discount with my insurance. Alicia was very helpful in explaining everything to me, and I got a great deal for two frames and an exam. I have been going to a competitor for the last couple years and even with insurance I pay almost double and only get one frame. I also loved that they were on top of checking temperatures at the door for every guest that walked in. Will be coming back for the rest of my family.

I had a scheduled appointment for an eye exam and I needed to order some new prescription glasses. When I arrived in the morning for my appointment, Kristine Osterberg was the only one working (she had some folks call in sick that morning).It got very busy while I was waiting and Kristine handled everything and everyone like a pro.....she was kind, welcoming and very calm making everyone feel comfortable.I would recommend this location to anyone who is looking for great customer service and attention to your vision needs!!

I give it a 4 because everyone that works there is so friendly and helpful! But I dont care for the selection of eyeglasses. I prefer a larger frame and theirs are pretty small.

I made an appointment for an eye exam on the same day and they took me in, the staff was very polite and explained what to do on each machine. I picked out my glasses and Alicia helped me out with what to choose and how they looked, she was very energetic and sweet. The staff is really sweet and I would recommend anyone to go to this place if they need to schedule an eye exam.

I had an amazing experience at Stanton optical. I came to get an eye exam the process was easy and it went through excellent. Ive been to multiple eye glasses places and most of them were rough experiences dye to the fact that most of them were in a rush to through to customers, but here theyre very patient and make sure to take their time with you. Specifically, Alicia helped me out with picking my glasses and explaining prices she was very sweet and helpful on giving opinions on what looks nice and what were paying for. I visited this place to get an eye exam and to pick out some new glasses and the staff is very nice and patient with explaining how things work. Alicia was helping me with glasses and let me know her honest opinions on how they looked, shes very friendly and funny. So far this place is 5 star, we had both eye exams and purchased 4 pair of glasses. The eye exams went well, very clean and thorough. The general manager helped us purchase glasses. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. And man she is FAST!!

I would give this place a 10☆, I did wait over an hour but Cecilia made it worth every minute and penny. Not only did she save me 783.00 but I did have an attitude... rather than being rude back Cecilia was so kind and patient with me it was impossible to stay upset.Ultimately I left purchasing 2 pairs of glasses and happy 😊

Horrible experience , I thought I was having an eye exam with a real doctor, instead they took me to a maintenance closet with a online doctor on a screen, he was cold and uncaring, at the end of the so called exam I asked him a question and he hung up on me. The staff was rude. They said they would contact me within two weeks to pick up my glasses...I waited over two weeks then had to try to contact them, they said my glasses had been sitting there ready to pick up, when I arrived there was a person in front of me in line , she told them she wanted to see if her glasses were ready that no one had contacted her. The staff was rude again.... also be careful when your in their parking lot, there are two large holes in the pavement where you park one large enough for your car to bottom out ..... the glasses are weak for my distance vision... wish I would have picked a different eye glass shop...very expensive mistake I wanted to puy NO stars but they make you pick at least one to post it

Just went in today and probably had the best experience out of all the times I’ve been to Stanton. Usually I go to the Arden one but this is going to be my new location. Alicia is amazing! Wasn’t sales pushy. Which I extremely appreciate, I’ve been on both ends of as a sales woman and a customer and it can be so uncomfortable sometimes especially with my last experience at the Arden location the previous sales associate just seemed like she didn’t want to be there and was pushy. Alicia was the complete opposite, very knowledgeable and informative and listen to me and made sure what I ordered was what best fits ME.

This was my first time buying glasses from here and it was such a great experience. Kristine helped us with like 6 pairs of glasses. She was super knowledgeable about the different types of lenses and what would work best for different needs. She’s was very friendly and still able to help us quickly without making us feel rushed!!! Highly recommend her!!!

Hi! First off I want to say that I have been going to Stanton for several years now. I have been asking myself why the past few days.Their glasses quality is horrible. I have had to buy several glasses over the last couple years.Mine and my sons glasses dont even last a year, before we have to buy new ones.Real life examples:Most recent experience.... I bought glasses around October 2020, because the glasses I bought in 2019, we broken and unfixable. The glasses I bought in October broke on Sunday.... How? You might ask... my son picked them up and the arm just fell off. He wasnt playing with them. He picked them up to hand them to me and bam the arm fell off. I was able to glue it in, while I wait for my new glasses to arrive. (Not from Stanton).My son had a similar situation with his glasses. He has had several pairs and they just fall apart after awhile. My insurance only covers new glasses every couple years. This is literally costing me a fortune. Im over it.I will no longer go to Stanton. I loved them, but I am starting to see a trend and its not worth my money. Sorry.Planned obsolescence is a thing... Hope all is well with all of you beautiful people!

This store has an amazing staff, the online exam was different but, worked out great! Kristine Osterberg was a huge help and great customer service. She was taking care of business from the moment myself and everyone walked in the door till we left. I appreciate my time well spent. Claimed they were in my providers network but they werent. Just used that to get me in the door. Frustrating waste of my time and their time. It would be nice if they were just honest to begin with.

I would not recommend to anyone. major lack of communication. you can never get through to the actual store on the phone the call center has to send a message and good luck getting a return call and they say 3-4 weeks for your order to arrive yet its been 6 for me and i still have nothing. i will be going elsewhere for future visits and supplies

I called to make an appointment for my 16 year old daughter and myself today. I was given an appointment the same day. I got an eye exam done and my daughter already had one. When it came time to pick out frames and discuss options, the sales manager, Alicia Oliver, went above and beyond to help me understand my options as well as my daughter. So let me start by saying I don’t wear glasses, but I was getting serious migraines and thought I might go see if eyesight is the case. Unfortunately it was.The only bad part about this experience was the eye doctor. It was a virtual appointment which is fine, safety first. BUT the only time I saw this doctor is when she was telling me to tell her lense 1, 2 or same. She didn’t not explain to me what was wrong with my eyes or if I did or did not need glasses. Walking out of the exam confused, I spoke with Alicia the sales manager. She was amazing. She explained everything to me in such detail and I do fully have confidence in what she was saying because what she was describing was what I was feeling. She made sure I not only understood prices and which glasses I would or would not need but also explained why I needed them. She took so much time out of her day to explain to me the issues with my eyesight. This girl deserves a raise because I walked out of the exam feeling unsure of Stanton optical but walked out of the building feeling confident in my choice, only because of her. Thank you Alicia for all your help!! You were amazing and so much fun to talk to.Lengthy but she deserves it, customer service and people are her forte and she’s amazing at it.

This is my second time going to Stanton for my eye exam and a couple pairs of glasses. My last set of Stanton glasses lasted 3 years! (My prescription doesnt change much) Getting an eye exam is super easy! The Dr was professional and took the time to answer questions I had about contacts, my astigmatism, etc. If you buy your glasses the day of your exam, the $45 exam is free! I like designer, tortoise frames, and was pleased by the variety I had to chose from. There were so many choices it was hard to chose just 2 pair! (Buy 1, get 1 free!!!) The staff is friendly and helpful! Thank you to the sales manager, Alicia, who ordered me frames that I had seen on a prior looky-lew visit. Special thanks to Eric Chiang, who helped me chose a package that was right for my needs. They offer: clear, transition and polarized, anti-glare lense choices. Deals and a wide price range on frames. A Frame Club program. Im looking forward to my new polarized sunglasses and transition glasses!!!

I spent over $900 on 4 pairs of glasses. You would think that they would be giving me great customer service. That is not the case. They didn’t even notify me that our glasses had arrived. No email, text or phone call. For the prices they charge, they SERIOUSLY need to learn come customer service skills. I will never shop here again.

My husband and I went to Stanton Optical on Madison for the first time earlier this week. I got an appointment for both of us at the same time within the hour of calling! The wait time wasn’t too bad, they were a little busy because of all the COVID-19 precautions, which was totally fine by us. They were being very safe which made us feel comfortable considering we have a baby at home. They had an enormous selection of frames to choose from and they were cleaned after every try on! Once we get the go-ahead to look at frames we pick a few and meet Alicia the sales manager. She was so knowledgeable about the sales, insurance coverage and broke down all the numbers for us to insure we got the best deal. Alicia saved us more than $200! She was so sweet and helpful. I highly recommend this location and ask for Alicia!!

Very dissatisfied with them. Both mine and my wifes first pair were ready the same day but the other pairs were going to take time. Thats ok, had no issue with that. However when my wife picked up her second pair, they said I still had to wait for mine because it hadnt came yet. The pair I was waiting for ended up getting lost in transit. They were nice about it and gave me a new pair free charge so hopefully today they are ready. And they DO NOT text or call when they are ready.

Broke my glasses this morning and went to stantons to get them replaced. Walked in and was helped very quickly. Was helped by a very nice lady (Kristine Osterberg General Manager) and she helped me pick a frame and placed my lens in right there. Very quick in and out with friendly service in 12 minutes.

I would give 0 stars if possible. The virtual eye exam gave me no confidence that I was getting the correct prescription due to not even having the mirror set up correctly or anyone in the room to make sure it’s done correctly. There was only ONE out of the five people in that entire building who could give me my prescription and the other staff members were rude, unhelpful, and gave no clear answers to my questions. Apparently it takes three people to man the front desk and do nothing while one person does the prescriptions. Do not go to this location. They are rude and do not care about you in any way shape or form. They did not care when I walked out.

Havent been here in 4 years and this location is still the best, nice people always and quick thorough exams and they are always able to work with you on pricing and was able to get my glasses the same day! Thank you again Roni you were awesome!!

Waste of timeI called in and was assured they had my lenses in stock so could do them same day. I ever gave my rx over the phone.I make an appointment, go in, and they tell me itll be 2 weeks.

Got an exam with contacts and glasses here; exam and materials costs were in excess of $615. So much for the low promotional price. LolThey said theyd call when the materials arrived, but hat wasnt realistic since I had to call to check personally.Now Ive been standing at the front door for 25 minutes hoping for someone to come say hi to me. Ill update review today, if I get service today.Update: 29 minute wait and it was my glasses that came first. The telephone recording said that it was 1 of 5 items ready to pick up.Picked up glasses pn Monday 6/15/20, today is Wednesday, and after wearing for two days to adjust, the left side is just as blurry still as I told the video doctor repeatedly during the exam (plus the equipment had fingerprints all over the lenses). This means my contacts wont work for the left eye also. (The exam and materials were $633.90 as the promotional price...?)From visiting on 6/17/20, Im back on 6/19/20 to see an optician scheduled at 10:25 am, then was told to come back 12:05 pm.. Coming back the following week for a re-exam.

Both the husband and myself made appointments for today and we get there with only one other person in the store so they look our appointment times up and proceeds to tell us that our appointment time is different from what our email confirmation said. The husband even showed her the email confirmation about the timing and she continued to disregard us and treat us like we were insignificant and didnt even try to help us. she gave us a box to go look at our own glasses and thats when the husband decided he didnt like her attitude so we left. we will not be going back there and we will not be doing business with them

I’ve had nothing but great experiences with the Madison Avenue location. I had the manager help me. That impressed us both. She was very nice and helped me and my husband look through frames until we found what was just right for us both. I felt like I was taking to much time from her but she said it was fine that she wanted happy customers.The order came back faster than she said and we got right in to get them. I bought two pair and my husband got two pairs. I’ve only wore one so far because I love them both but I have a favorite so I wear them all the time.Cudos to Stanton.

They where understaffed but everyone was very polite and the person who helped me pick out my glasses was great too. There where several customers behind me waiting for their turn and she didnt rush me! All employees where fantastic! I would recommend them to all of my coworkers and friends!!

No one is very friendly or helpful, prices are insane.Good optometrists but after the exam its not worth it.I was helped by the assistant sales manager and repeatedly asked if I could buy 1 box of contacts for each eye (different strengths) and she said no its a minimum of 6 boxes each, I asked multiple times to confirm that its 6 boxes for each eye, only to find out she rang me to for 1 box of each eye, so I paid way more than I feel is fair especially after being told it was the price for 6 boxes.I realized the issue when I got to my car, went back in to point out my issue and she continued taking over me and denying that she said the price was for 6 boxes.Get your exam here but dont waste your money on the over priced glasses & contacts and poor service.
