Ive been a long time YMCA member and I have attended the Mukilteo, Mill Creek and now I frequent the Everett YMCA . New facility is absolutely fantastic. I really enjoy the boot camp and hiit classes. TheTrainers that lead those classes work you really hard and push you. I have gotten into a great shape by attending those classes a few times a week and fitting in a few days of cardio a week in only a couple of months. The Front desk staff are helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. When my son was young he would go to the daycares that they offer there while I worked out and I trusted the staff that took care of him. he is now a teenager and takes swim lessons. he really likes his instructors and how they push him to become a better swimmer

The facility is really nice. Its busy near constantly, but its a new year so thats to be expected. I just wish PARENTS would be more respectful and considerate of others. Its completely normal to see a child of 6 or 7 plopped onto a piece of exercise equipment, moving it slowly and watching cartoons, while adults actually wanting to work out on the equipment are unable to.

A warm welcome and accepting environment is what I found here! Not to mention a great place for early morning coffee...πŸ€“Despite the upcoming move to the newly constructed building, the employees here continue to provide quality and professional services!A safe environment for all, very clean and well managed, even a daily trivia question posted on a white board each morningπŸ˜‰.If youre curious about how Everett is growing, stop in and sign up!

I have a young adult membership and usually go to the Marysville YMCA on the weekend and bring my 4 year old daughter. I have never had a problem with child care at any location besides this one, not only did they refuse to sell my daughter a day pass for childcare, they tried to convince me to upgrade my membership to a family packet. I get that it’s a new building but that’s ridiculous I have a membership take care of my daughter for an hour without having me pay an extra $100 a month I only come once a week on a Saturday

So disappointed with this location. The first time I dropped my kids off in the child watch area, no one greeted me or my kids. When I picked them up no one checked mine or my kids sticker that confirmed they were mine, which is extremely unsettling to think anyone could walk out with my kids when they are supposed to be in a safe environment. I asked the β€˜caregivers’ in both areas and no one was able to give me an answer on what the policy’s were. The second time I dropped them off, same thing, so I went to the front and asked to speak to someone in charge. They were friendly and told me someone should be checking in with me when I drop off and pick up. However, I don’t feel comfortable anymore with my kids being in the child watch area because the care just isn’t consistent. The pool is amazing...when there are actually enough lifeguards on duty for people to use it. Twice now my family and I have shown up 15 mins prior to open swim times and they’ve had to stop giving out swim cards because they didn’t have enough life guards. I’m glad they are consistent with that aspect of their program, but it’s extremely frustrating and a waste of my time and money.

After being a member for since the first week or so I feel I have enough experience to give a review.I am primary a lap swimmer and am very pleased with the total pool availability as well as the condition they keep the pool. The water is a little on the cool side which is perfect for working out. This is not a lounging around in pool, this is a workout pool. Staff does a good job of keeping the kids from getting to playful while people are having a swim and the combination of hours and lanes available seems to do a great job of accommodating those that have various use times and schedules. In addition to the pool the dry sauna and steam room are easy to access as well as the hot tub.Regarding swim passes and complaints Ive seen. I was at first a little put off by the fact that they issued passes to both the rec users as well as the lap swimmers and would stop you mid swim if you are in the lap pool during a transition period. After a very informative conversation with a senior staff member I understood the process. By permit, they are only allowed to have 25 bodies per guard at one time. The pass system, imo, gave them the best chance at getting up and running establishing a use pattern, and give them the chance to make adjustments as they go. I do think that as they get dialed in they will work the process to make sure people have the best access they can while staying in line with what they are required to do.Locker rooms. As said and I agree with.....simply they are completely inadequate for the facility. The floors are scary slippery and thankfully they have at least put down some mats and a few fans to dry out the floor. The fan is doing nothing and they floor needs to be fully resurfaced with some sort of texture. If not already someone is going to fall and break a hip guaranteed.Lockers for general use. I dig them. Very cool idea, very handy, and plenty on hand as well as access.General stuff. Track is short but hey, there is a track. Stretching...meh I think there might not be ample room but there is enough. I agree for that purpose it would be nice to have a room open but for a public facility and the amount of kids it is likely not practical.Oversight. I do wish at times staff would make a few more rounds. Many children of various ages are unsupervised and simply need to be told to settle down. Often I see behaviors are taking away from the experience of other guests and members. For example, over rambunctious behavior in the locker room. Allowing your kid to camp out on a piece of equipment doing nothing while you get a run in is simply not cool.Weights, free and machine. Ive lifted plenty during my time as a member and find the layout, variety of equipment, and availability very good. Ive not found anything unsanitary or off putting. During my time Ive seen one piece of equipment in need of repair and it was taken care of in a timely manner.Staff. I have not had a single poor interaction with the staff. Ive found them to be not only polite but sincere, helpful, and encouraging of guests and members. They always greet with a smile and thank you for the visit upon your leaving.Overall, I gave them a 4 star review and if they had adequate locker rooms it would be a 5 star.Cheers.

I am giving 5 stars to the group executive Kyla due to her immediate response to an issue I had with my locker being cut (rented and prepaid) with several hundred dollars worth of items. She showed concern, she listened, she smiled, she was nothing short of great. If you have an issue with the YMCA this is the Lady to speak with. Thank you Kyla! All we need now is a fair and balanced news Chanel and were golden. (I know your working on it) Whatever they pay you my friend, its not enough. Tony

Decent equipment for the average user. Moderate amount of cardio equipment but relatively small weight room given the overall size of the facility. If its busy you may find it difficult to get a workout in due to the lack of equipment. Missing some nice to have items such as kettlebells over 35lbs and some type of heavy bag. Additionally there are usually a lot of children playing in the weight room. While being dangerous, it can also make it difficult to use some of the equipment. Hopefully this improves over time.

The childcare here is awful. Yelling at kids to get them to comply, giving punishment out in front of peers, bossing them and enforcing ridiculous rules. The workers seem overwhelmed and uneducated. I complained to management and never got a reply. We dont have a membership here anymore because the care for my kids was so poor. Also observing the YMCA camps at parks during the summer shows me that the camps are no better. I imagine if parents knew the quality of care their kids were receiving the camps would be empty.

The new YMCA has an incredibly poor system for using the lap pool. They queue up the swimmers by requiring session passes. This creates capacity issues when the session opens, yet empty pool prior. Sitting here with 10 people staring at an empty lap pool. Should have gone to Mill Creek or Stanwood...

I was very disappointed in the new facility. I go to the Marysville Y exclusively with a wheelchair bound client, and drive an accessibility van. We decided to try the new facility as we had heard great things. On my one and only visit, i noticed 22 parking spots for smart cars (only 8 were being used) and only 8 handicapped parking spaces, all of which were full (understandably considering the Y is a pretty popular place for people with disabilities). Not a single space was van accessible. There were no wheelchair accessible doors, with the exception of the front door which was a sliding door. There is no direct access to the pool, without going through the dressing room, which can be tricky with a large electric wheelchair. There are no clear aisles around the pool. I had to move several items for my client to reach the ADA chair. Someone else was observed on the other side of the pool doing the same with someone they were accompanying. The ada chair into the lap pool is placed WAY too high. In Marysville my client exits the chair into the water and back in unassisted. Here, I had to enter the pool and pull her into the water since the chair only lowered to about 3 inches under the water (by contrast, in Marysville the chair is fully submerged at its lowest point). To exit the water I had to bodily hoist her up and out of the water into the chair. Not an easy feat considering she is a fully grown woman and I am not a large-muscled woman. We were extremely disappointed, and will not be returning.

Its a huge improvement over the old location, but I just wonder what were they thinking. All that money and this is what we got, definitely missed the bar. The building itself is very nice, but completely undersized for a city of over 105,000. I got an idea, instead of constructing a park behind the building, why dont they add on to the building? There are 12 treadmills for 300+ local members and now they have a 30 minute time limit! The following are highlights Ive noted.Pros: New construction, longer hours on Sunday, majority of staff are helpful.Cons: Undersized building, locker rooms too small and non ADA compliant doors, water pressure/temperature is not consistent, spotty WiFi and dead spots, swimming tests and passes everytime you want to use the pool, no cardio or weights on the first floor, stretching area is way to small (8 people maybe), not enough cardio machines, indoor track doesnt run the whole length of the facility (more laps), studios are locked unless a class is going on (why?).Word on the street is the city of Everett is planning on closing the Forest Park pool. Probably to much $ to maintain. Wow, they really snuck that one by us. So it looks like we are stuck with the pool pass situation for good.I will also continue to update this review periodically with new information.

Nice new sustainable building.....Absolutely no room in locker room. Frequently am being interrupted by members who feel entitled to machines. They seems to not enforce an age restriction on cardio machines. The weight room is extremely limited on space. This brand new faculty does not have a single fan to create an individualized feeling work out (large hvac system over head only) . TONS OF WASTED SPACE used for common areas that could be used distribution of work out equipment. The old everett ymca use to feel like a gym now it feels like a boys and girls club with a weight room and public pool.

The Everett Y is a super fun place for people of all ages, race, and cultures. Their diverse staff are super kind and all of them have an upbeat, professional attitude. The facility is kept clean and the wide range of healthy activities makes this Y one of the best Ys ever. They have everything from swimming and racket ball to yoga and kung-fu, plus they have some of the most awesome camps ever. They even have a daycare. I would definitely recommend anyone who doesnt have a Y membership to get one. you will not regret it. It will change your life. It changed mine. 10 stars :-)

I went to this facility with my girlfriend. We were allowed entry, my girlfriend went to go get some air. Upon re-entry a new set of front desk workers were their. They denied her entry with the same card, and were very rude the entire time. My girlfriend being upset with how she was being treated was preparing to leave. They denied giving her the card back and forced her to leave the premesis under a rule of the ymca that doesnt exist. I recieve a call while playing basketball being told the situation. I come down to speak with my girlfriend. We decide to write a report about Heather and her unacceptable customer service. We speak with the GM who promptly states she never acts like that. We ask about the policy and are told theres no actual rule but its more of a guide line they follow. We initially came in to write a report about the matter but were never given the paper work to actually report it. I hope this matter is addressed soon so no one else has there personal writes violated and wont have to be disrespected in this manner again.

I have been bringing my daughter here since January for swim lessons. Prior to COVID and since the kids were babies we had been going to forest park pool. The instructors at the YMCA are immature and rude to the kids. They dont interact with kids at all. They barely instruct them on swim, rather just yell at them from the side of the pool. There have been no instructions on stroke corrections. The administration accidentally connected my credit card to another persons account which took 6 weeks to figure out and correct. I ended up cancelling the card because I was worried it was still connected to the wrong account. Also the lifeguards sit at the edge of the pool chatting to one another instead of doing their jobs. The new pool director is working hard to fix things but I dont see much improvement yet. City of Everett needs to re open Forest Park Pool. Until then we are going to make the trip to Lynnwood.
