IF YOU AT ALL STRUGGLE WITH VALIDATION, SELF IDENTITY, OR SELF ESTEEM, RUN!!!I have recently started seeking help for life-long mental health problems and trauma related to abuse. This is by far the most atrocious experience I have ever had with any medical provider. I highly recommend you seek alternative care. Mid this year I was planning to see Scott Gibson. The entire process was painstaking and horribly organized, a good 3/4th of the time youll only get ahold of an associate by contacting billing, not to mention that you would usually end up getting a unnecessarily rude associate anyways. I cancelled the appointment day of because they initially communicated to me the wrong date and I wasnt able to make it on such short notice, and, with no understanding on their part, I was charged a 75 dollar cancellation fee. I soon after sought therapy at LifeStance/Midwestern Behavioral and theyve been great. My general practitioner was pushing me to get ADHD medication, and made an appointment with them, and I was willing to give it another chance. They never called. Eventually I called after a week and they informed me they wouldnt see me unless I payed the late fee, so I payed. I saw Dr. Ahmed who talked for 12 of our 20 minute appointment, the other 8 were focused on my trauma and ADHD. Dr. Ahmed then told me I had no direction in my life and had no goals (completely ignoring what I had just mentioned were my goals). Couldnt be my ADHD inhibiting day to day life! No, it was a personal failure due to my laziness and immaturity. He then told me the reason I needed a plan was because everyone in my life would abandon me and kick me to the street and Id only ever have myself. If I was as immature and naïve as Dr. Ahmed claimed I was, this would have a been a very damaging and dangerous thing to say to someone who grew up in an abusive household. I then looked on my patient portal appointment records in which Dr. Ahmed had made grievous characterizations of me, polar-opposite to how Ive ever been characterized before in my life, as well as outright invalidating and claiming Im not autistic, and its a fixation. I was diagnosed at the age of 5 and am now seeking an adult diagnosis for college aid. I am completely perplexed as to how he would have made such observations or character judgements when I talked all of 8 minutes, which were overshadowed by his very glaringly obvious projection. He also doubted the validity and strength of my 2 year relationship, with the only thing being said about it on my half, was that it was strong. His responses and claims very clearly showed me he wasnt actually listening and only waiting to respond. This entire experience was appalling and I highly encourage you to seek care elsewhere, please heed this warning, its for your own good.

Very unprofessional and just a horrible place to go. They dropped me as a patient because of an issue on their end. They told me my insurance was inactive and I called my insurance company and it was in fact active and the exact same insurance policy I initially had on file with them in the first place. They dropped me because I didn’t give them the insurance information to schedule an appointment within 48 hours. They do not care about your well-being, they just want their money. Sad and disappointing, will never recommend to anyone.

They say one thing then do another. Some of the receptionists are helpful and polite and others are rude for absolutely no reason. I highly don’t recommend this place, unless you want more stress on top of what you’re going to therapy for.

I called in September 2020 to help a family member in emergency need of psychological help ASAP. They Just returned my call today ON FEB 17 2020 ! - 6 months for a call back are you kidding ? Smh no we dont need your services now we found another psychiatrist who can return calls in a professional manner and REASONABLE time frame.

Not a good place to go if you need long term care. Dr. Ahmed doesnt care and appointments with him are very short. Ms. Ledbetter is rude and has an attitude. Erin is nice as long as you keep appointments. Not the best place for my current needs. Still would not recommend any of the psychiatrists. The therapists are more helpful.

Dr. Ahmed is the best psychiatrist I have seen in 11 states. He is kind, compassionate, optimistic and offers you true support. He is highly intelligent and someone you can feel safe with as well as respect. I have had many psychiatrists throughout my journeys but I have never looked forward to my appointments.I honestly enjoy our visits. If you need psychiatrist,Dr. Ahmed is the best!

Best service and help I hv ever gotten

Dr Ahmed is hands down the best doctor I have seen. He listens to my concerns and issues and addresses them accordingly. Strongly recommend.

I had a good experience with Dr. Ahmed and if it were just for him, I would rate him with 5 stars. He was very concise and easy to talk to. The counselor I had (Paul Mefford) was a different story. After just I few sessions with him, he informed me that there was no point in continuing with further sessions! I never really understood why he decided it was time to conclude our meetings. I always believed that that was to be a mutual decision between counselor and client as to when to conclude therapy. I suspect it may have been because he didn’t have the competence to know how to proceed further. I thought this was was pretty egregious.

Had an appointment scheduled for 11:15. For two weeks I was telling myself 11:45. I showed up at 11:25. Still 20 minutes before when I thought my appointment was. They informed me I was late and I apologized and explained I thought it was at 11:45. (I work night shift 12 hour shifts so I get days and times confused sometimes). I told them I had free time to wait if they could see me today still but if not it was perfectly fine and I would like to reschedule. After waiting 30 minutes they finally told me they couldn’t reschedule me and wouldn’t see me again since I was late for my first appointment. TECHNICALLY THIS WAS MY SECOND APPOINTMENT! I saw Scott Gibson two weeks prior to this!! I understand they have a daily schedule and someone being late disrupts that schedule and they lose money also. They need to understand miss understandings happen also. It was a HUGE STEP for me to even admit I need to talk someone. So now I have to start this whole process over at another office with a new person and wait even longer to get medication and counseling. I will never step foot in this place again or refer it. I talked to Scott Gibson one time and I really liked him but this is ridiculous. Way to kick someone when they are already down. Thanks.UPDATE. 8-31-19I have now received a 45 dollar bill for no show/late cancel. I was not a no show. I arrived 10 minutes late, which I thought was 25 minutes early. I cancelled nothing. I SAT THERE FOR 30 MINUTES waiting to be hear something about being seen or rescheduling for a later date. This place only cares about your money and NOTHING else.

Dr Ahmed is kind, very professional. He also as this way of making me laugh, even about how bad things can be.

Doctor Menny was great every appointment I had with him. He Seemed very genuine. I was early for all my appointment eager to make changes in some areas of my life. When it can time to see Miss Jenny I was late because of construction something I had no control over. When I went in I tried to explain they basically told me I had to reschedule my appointment. I was a little upset since I drove 2 hours to get there. I later called and apologized if I seemed upset to the receptionist I shouldn’t have talked in that tone. It didn’t matter what I did try to make it right. If you are late for a first appointment with a provider they won’t see you again any of the providers. This is a one strike place mess up and they kick you to the curb! Kind of sad because you would think in their line of business they would want to help people but they don’t give you any second chances that is for sure.! Wish you the best in finding the right place hope they are kinder you then they were me.

Would not recommend. Normally running late on appointments and have you schedule completely unnecessary appointments. I came to them for one thing and I’ve already HAD to have 3 appointments because of “their procedures”. Not only that but it takes a minimum of two weeks between appointments. They make a simple task, take months. Not a happy customer.

Doctors were great! Front staff is a joke! I had a past due bill one that was 2 months old, one that was 2 weeks old and they wanted me to pay the entire balance before I could be seen. I had plans to pay the 2 month past due one but they wouldn’t accept it. I had words with the office manager that day. I also had a fee on there from a few months ago that they once told me would be removed because I was hospitalized that day. I received a bill today so I just called to ask them why that no show fee was still on there when they already told me it would be removed, and told her I wanted to pay off the other two so my account would be in good standing (one fee was 2 months old, one fee was 2 weeks old) her response was “no adjustments will be made because you were terminated from the practice” I got terminated because I told the office manager exactly what I thought about the way they did people. So now they think i’m going to pay them for something they already told me would be removed! HAH! Dr Ahmed if you read these comments just know, your office staff screw it up for your patients!! This place helps people with very serious mental health conditions and all the front office staff care about is money. DO NOT RECOMMEND at all, all because of the front office staff.

This place is not here to help you they only want the money. Dr Ahmed didnt want to hear what I had to say and only rushed me out of there every visit. Ahmed had me taking so many pills.

Doctors are great, office management processes, not so much, but they are working on them

I cant comment on the place as a whole, but I will on one particular Dr.Dr. Ahmed, is one of those people that will ask you a few questions and then prescribe you medication. Youre in and youre out, he doesnt have time for you. He did not educate me in any way, so i was unable to understand my situation He just wants to hurry and prescribe you medicine. Can you believe this guy told me to stop thinking the way i do, he said life is too short. I have anxiety, if i could stop thinking like i do, trust me, i would.

I love Dr. Ahmed so much. He is a great Dr. Very smart. Knows what he is doing.

This is a great place if you are wealthy. I’ve been through some very traumatic situations over the past few years so wanting to take care of myself and move forward in a healthy manner my doctor sent me to Evansville Psychiatric. Unfortunately Im in a situation where I have to choose food or heat; I’m in a situation where I’m struggling greatly. Once my bill started growing I stopped going to therapy, therapy I need, because I wanted to get my balanced paid off. I tried to establish a payment plan but the lowest monthly payment CATHY would agree to was over $180, which is more than I am paying for health insurance!! I continued to make payments every two weeks when I would get paid but again, I am struggling. I have been making payments of at least $20 because that is all I can do. In response to my $20 payment CATHY tells me, “That wont work because it costs us almost $20 to send you a statement” and tells me that collections can take care of me. CATHY and that whole place disgusts me.

I felt so lost and like every other doctor or counselor I went to did not actually listen. Dr. Ahmed is fantastic quick and concise.

If I could give less stars, I would. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE! Literally go ANYWHERE else! They have sent my bill to collections multiple times because they did not properly charge my card when I was in, and then did not even notify my of the bill; the collection agency contacted me which is how I ever found out about the bill. I also keep a credit card on file so that my bill would always be paid, and still my credit has been negatively affected by bills that I had attempted to pay. I have also been told that I cannot see my doctor because I was 6 minutes late, even though I wait an hour to see him EVERY TIME! They told me if I was more than 5 minutes late then my apt would be forfeited, then when I arrived 4 minutes late, I proceeded to wait an entire hour to see my doctor. These people deal with peoples mental health, and they do not care. It is obvious none of the front desk employees understand what is it like to deal with a mental health issue.DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT CONSTANT HEADACHES AND IMPROPER HEALTHCARE!!!!

One of your theropists told my husband and I that we needed couples theropy as well as his theropy. We set a couples theropy appointment. The therapist we scheduled with told us he would no do couples theropy with us claiming we are not ready. He recommended I go to one on one theropy as well as my husband for victim theropy. I attempted to make an appointment for myself this past Friday specifying that i would like a female therapist as my abuser was a man and a man will be difficult for me to share with. Today I was called and your office tried to schedule me with a male as if I had not asked to see a female and it had not been noted any place. When I stated, no I asked for a female weand explained why I was told no female therapists in the office are accepting new patients. Very disapointing considering the reason my husband is seeing one of the theropists here is because I urged him to for the abusive behaviors he displays towards me and our children.Edit to address manager comment. You will not find my name in records. You will find my husband. His legal first name is not Ryan. That is what he goes by. I am absolutely certain that I have reviewed the correct office. My husband sees Aaron who said we needed couples when i attended one of his sessions to let her know what was happening. We together saw Mike who refused couples theropy claiming we arent ready. He stated I needed victim theropy first. That was after he did not let me say what was the issues were and cut me off telling me my husband would not change stating that he said he would not to try to provoke an issue in office. He even stated after how it had been intentional because he wanted to see reactions. When I have had a gun put to my head provoking irritation and anger from the abuser and sending them on their way with the person they abuse shows a huge lack of concern for a persons safety or well being in my opinion. He was aware my husband struggles to calm down. These concerns were all told by me to a lady who called me claiming to be an office manager returning my call after i called over a week after aaron had stated ahe was turning in referal paperwork for couples that we had heard nothing about. I spoke to her about my husband being non calm and making suicidal statements very often.

This place is awful! They didnt send a bill for a year then sent me to collection charging me 33% fee once I made a payment. So then I had to pay over $1000 so they wouldnt report on my credit. They told me I was paid in full and Im still getting bills now that are almost 2 years old. Dont waste your time and money with these unprofessional people.

This place is awful I didnt like my doctor and quit going now a year later they are asking for money tried calling to talk to them about it and got nowhere. So Im paying them their $ and other than hearing that its been paid I dont want to hear from them again.

My mother was needing to be seen there by a therapist for depression after my father past away. After calling and putting in a request to be seen she did not receive a call back for almost 3 weeks so we called them back they had no record that she had ever called and gave them all of her personal information demographic, insurance, medications, reason for needing visit NOTHING. So we went through and gave it all to the lady again who was very rude and acted like she was to buys to even take the call. This time to be safe we asked her family doctor to send a referral over as well to make sure they got the information. after waiting another 2 weeks we get a call to be scheduled an appointment. We told them multiple times we wanted to make sure we had her see someone in her insurances network we go to the office the staff was rude and said we dont take this insurance so they end up taking it I guess the girl didnt know what she was doing because another lady looked at the insurance card and said they do take the insurance. They had my mother see a doctor and a therapist and after the appt with the doctor we had forgot to ask him a question about a depression med he was starting her on so we asked the front desk at check out to talk to a nurse and she went back and was talking to who I assume was the nurse and the nurse clearly says I am not coming up there and talking to them you can send me a message I am busy. The lady came back and lied and said she was on the phone and she would take our question in a message and the nurse would call us. I told my mother not to worry about it we didnt need to talk to that girl we would ask her family doctors office nurse and I asked to speak to the manager. She came out after I we waited for at least 20-30 minutes stating hi I am Shela I run this practice and was just as rude as the staff, she did say policy is policy and my staff is following our policies and she pretty much laughed in my face when I was trying to talk to her for my mother and said I dont even have to talk to you your not the patient and something about it being a hippa violation when my mother was clearly standing there telling me and giving me full permission to talk to the lady. I asked the office manager if there was someone above her I could speak with and she said no that she is the only manager there & that she runs the practice. I felt like my mother was treated very poorly my the staff/nurses/manager at this place and she will NOT EVER be going back. She literally cried in the care she was more of a mess after seeking treatment there than when we walked in the doors. The therapist we seen was very nice & polite my mother really liked her and she like the dr as well but because of the the staff and management we would not return. It is no wonder the staff acts like that with a manager like that lady. When I told this so called manager we would not be returning she said well that your choice to make, she didnt even try to make things right or keep my mother on as a patient or care that she needed the treatment no compassion whatsoever it was unbelievable. I would give zero stars if possible!
