This is one of the best LA Fitness locations I’ve been in a while in Chicago land.Not very crowded. You will not see the gym buffs huffing and puffing.Staff is extremely polite nice and helpful.Always saying good morning and good bye.Have not met one bad employee here.You will always see someone cleaning the equipment, floor and restrooms are also very clean.

The classes are fun, the people are both helpful and friendly and I have continued to see myself grow in my fitness journey with their support

Hasnt the news divided us enough? Every TV has the news. So I want to listen to music, the wifi is horrible. Let me do leg day, the leg machines are scattered all over the place. The arm machines are scattered all over the place. Today Im going to do all push muscles, scattered again. Tomorrow Im doing pull muscles, let me guess. Yep.Theres no organization here. The pandemic gave PF a perfect opportunity to rebuild and reorganize and NOTHING was done.The whole business model is to give people a place to workout but the rest is horribly managed. Horrible starting place.

I would love to be able to give a higher rating, but the current space they have is too small. Staff was friendly and there is a lot of equipment available. The space is just too small.

Expected to be treated with the same hospitality as the planet fitnesses located in southern states (FL, TN). Instead, I was yelled at mid squat for my mask falling off my nose, not even off my face. Also, what’s with the no thin strap tank top rule in the northern locations. What kind of gym has a dress code? Furthermore, I was told I couldn’t bring my bag onto the gym floor, while other people had drawstring bags, but I guess those were fine?? Will not be joining planet fitness after all.

Workers are always nice and helpful. Always clean as well.

This place is excellent, nice and clean. And no judgment.. and the staff go around to see if there are people who is not wearing mask, and tell them to keep wearing it and cover their nose too.

Very nice staff. I had trouble registering for the first time and an employee working at the front desk just gave me a free day pass so that I could exercise. Very sweet gesture.

First time visiting this location and I was expecting a great workout but I was not allowed the luxury. I forgot my key card but I provided my phone number listed to my account. The associate informed me of the outstanding balance that was dated from 2018 and was willing to allow me to workout. I asked for the corporate number so that I can take care of the situation the next day. Meanwhile, the associateasked Victoria (manager) how I should go about contacting corporate in regards to the balance and she stated I would need to contact my home gym. Victoria proceeded to say that I was unable to workout due to liability reasons even though the associate said that it was ok prior to me speaking with Victoria. I explained to her that my account was current and I had proof based on a transaction processed on March 17th. She stated that I needed to contact my home gym to rectify the situation. After speaking with my home gym they confirmed to me that my account was and has been current. When I walked back into the gym again Victoria attitude was not pleasant or welcoming when I informed her of what the young lady stated over the phone. After going back and forth in regards to my account, I placed the young lady on speaker so that she can reiterate what she stated to me to Victoria. Victoria then asked the young lady to change the number on my account to the number listed on the account. The young lady did what was requested by Victoria but I was no longer interested in working out at this location. I do not appreciate being turned away and dealing with nasty attitudes. Not to mention, it is not my job to do the managers job when it comes to handling accounts. A good manager would have rectified the situation by contacting the other gym in regards to the error. First impressions are lasting impressions and I assure you that as a paying customer like other customers I did not deserve to deal with this kind of behavior especially from a manager. I will patronize somewhere else...

Clean, friendly, helpful, affordable, and near my work!

Probably one of the worst PF I’ve been to. The fans created little to no airflow. Machines are piled on top of each other, and makes social distancing hard. Another reviewer mentioned being yelled at for her masking falling down below her nose, but there were plenty of people in there not wearing masks at all. Overall a subpar experience.

This is the second PF Ive been into in the last week that had NO HOT WATER in the shower. Isnt providing a basic service like the ability to shower after a workout part of what my monthly dues goes to?

So friendly and easy to use planet fittness, there is no judgment, free parking, and I was pleased to see lots and lots of bottles of sanitizer available for everyone to grab as they enter the gym and carry around with them

This location is so tiny, Im surprised that during covid it is allowed to be open. Some of the staff are rude, but not all. All of the machines work nicely, but they are right on top of each other.

Liked that there was a high level of masking and you could literally see someone cleaning (staff or gym goer) every second of being there.

Big gym. They have free lockers that have dial combination on it. The front desk people are always super nice. Usually the mens locker room is clean.

All right in the morning. Theres space and employees are nice, cleaning and make people wear mask, follow rules and remember you. Some machines only have one and its blocked off so you cant use it. But its good and relaxing and every is nice.In the afternoon it changes. It always feels crowded even when its not many people as you have to wait for every machine even a treadmill and some people hog benches even if they arent using it for exercise. Seen some people are treated have different rules as white women have a much easier time and lax rules, owner seems intimidated by youngblack men not to enforce rules and some people are watched waiting for them to break rules and others are ignored completely. too frustrating and complicated to work out at

Amazing place for awesome workouts, wonderful coaches and support staff. Every day the workout program changes, using different muscle groups which is very impressive. The coaches here make a real difference, very motivational and efficient. They also offer personal trainer sessions. Highly recommend!!

FEELS GREAT TO COME BACK 🥺♥️I like coming here in the morning because there is less people , right away when I walked in they set the new rules to me and told me I have to spray the machines before and after use, they provide you with disinfectant spray during your whole workout and when done place it on a purple bucket, I can vouch that I’ve seen them wipe the bottles down as well as the machines. They explained all this to me TWICE as I walked in 2 different days from 2 different people which I found very professional from their part, Btw you don’t have to wear a mask it’s up to you! Anyways nothing has changed they still greet you and say goodbye after your workout ☺️ Very recommended! Never had a problem here.

They billed just before the ChinaVirus. No credit given for the month. Unless youre there five days a week its not worth it.Wasted time and money. Im getting back in shape by myself at home like I have three times before. 21,24&32 doing it again at 48. I have a good enough reason this time.

Just visited the Evanston PF for the first time today. When i walked in ZERO people had a mask on out of the 30 people in this smaller then usual PF. When i asked the manager what the mask policy was he pointed to a sign behind the counter and saud in Evanston you dont have to wear a mask while working out. To be exact Ypu dont have to wear a mask while breathing heavy my jaw dropped by this comment, i told them how completely irresponsible this was and left this gym. I will never be back. As a matter if fact i will be contacting PF corperate and speaking with someine in charge, this needs to change asap or i will be canceling my membership and making social media very aware of this incompetence. What a completely dangerous and irresponsible way to conduct a business in this environment. No wonder our cases are sky rocketing. Hum maybe the news would like to hear about this, think ill see.

I dont care for this location. I feel it is smaller and cluttered. I cant relax and enjoy my work out due to limited space. Free weights area need to be a bigger space. I will not go back to this location.

This is my home gym. I come here after work as often as I can. Machines have been upgraded and most of them are brand new machines. Machines, bathrooms and overall location is clean and stocked with everything needed from drinks to the paper towels and sanitizer to clean the machines after each use.The staff here I always see keeping busy with either stocking or cleaning, even to assisting other people at the gym.

If you do squat, deadlift, or bench press for your workout, this gym isnt for you because they only have Smith machines. The treadmills have less functionality than other gyms such as cool down. Other than that, its a decent gym.

The cleanliness and mandatory cleaning of equipment makes me feel secure about working out here.

Ive not had any bad feelings here. I wish they could add another hydro bed, or keep that one working. I understand lots of usage can damage it. All guest are not mindful to wipe it down after use. Sometimes it has shoe marks when I arrive. I wipe it down before and after.

The gym itself is fine, the hours suck. I wanted to go after work tonight and I cant, theyre closed. The PF app, and website say 24/7. I looked on maps and it says closing at 7pm.Thats some bulls**t...

Clean gym and friendly staff. They pride themselves on no intimidation fitness. So everyone feels comfortable no matter where they are on their fitness journey. They are changing their hours soon and will no longer be 24/7 but 24/5...shortened hours on the weekend.

Can’t cancel membership unless mailing a letter in the mail. We live in 2020 where y’all can cancel the membership online. I haven’t lived in Evanston for a long time and yet they still took money during COVID.

The main reason I like this location is because its the only location near the city open 24/7. Its a pain to get to using public transportation, but there isnt another option on in Chicago unless I go to the west town location. Its a bit smaller but I like the machines better here. Its also not super busy all the time, another bonus.

I love this place, staff are great , but new modifications sucks, its too dark and gloomy, violet everywhere, previously its white and bright . Planet fitness now you need to spend more money on energy liting it up.

Im able to get in a great workout. There are times when you will find people holding up machines while they play with their phones, but where can you go where that wont happen, right. Overall, Im satisfied with the quality this gym presents. Its always clean, neat, and the staff is friendly.

I am currently a member at the Planet Fitness midtown west location in New York but was taking a trip to Chicago to visit relatives. In the area they live, it is all about the Planet Fitness located on McCormick. Little did I know there was another Planet Fitness in a shopping plaza VERY near. I want to describe it as a hidden gem. McCormick will never compare to this location. Despite the gym not being as big, the gym provides great customer service and truly delivers the “judgement free” motto. The gm of the location, Justin, tirelessly works hard with his staff to ensure the cleanliness of the gym and positive enforcement towards the members. Never have I ever felt any sense of friendliness from the staff at Lincolnwood, and I feel as if they’re arrogant.Going back to the cleanliness, JESUS! You’ll see the staff flipping treadmills upside down and cleaning underneath....... yes.... underneath the equipment.It’s great to see a gym with a staff who truly care!

This is one of their worse locations. They should just close and open a bigger location. The only time Ive enjoyed going to the gym here is early weekends the rest of the time its just awful its like a can of sardines where you cant move. I just cant focus at this gym. Aside from that its dirty and the bathrooms smell.

Terrible management style - they get you to sign a membership document without telling you about an annual fee and all of the sudden you see a charge in your account for it. When you call, there is virtually no explanation other than sorry for the inconvenience and to cancel a membership, you have to send in a letter - wouldnt be surprised if it needs to be delivered by horse. Find a real gym to get a real workout and real service.

Being member at this place for over 2 years now. The place is small and can be pretty chaotic during peak hours. Bathroom cleanliness goes for a toss after 2 pm. That is one big reason I drive all the way to PF Morton Grove if I am working out late afternoons.

Decent workout place but they usually have at least 1 or 2 of the Black Card amenities unavailable for a LONG time and dont really seem interested in fixing them. They lack a Total Body Enhancement machine, something most others have and their stand up tanning bed is frequently down.For a basic workout, sure its fine but theyre a long way from the other PF clubs Ive gone to around the country.

I used to work out here for over a year. It had everything I need. It was really so busy that I had to wait for a machine. Theres plenty of open lighting. Theres plenty of room for stretching. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Nice gym and overall great value, clean and not too crowded. I found them to be quite discriminatory against regular weightlifters however, categorizing anyone who wears tanktops, slams weights or makes grunt noises as lunks (?) complete with an alarm to notify the entire gym that someone looks like a gymrat. Way to make us feel bad.As usual I got a bit scammed with money (dont trust things they say orally), and the gym lack basic machines such as bench press (!) and place to do simple pull ups. Instead 70% of the gym is filled with treadmills... still, for $20/mo its a solid 4 stars.

This place is horrendous. go to the one in lincolnwood. the management at this location sucks, they pretend to be on your side for issues regarding your account but they arent really on it. I went to lincolnwood and they handled it with such ease. i overheard the employee in the black uniform talk about customers in a poor way not only once, but TWICE. absolutely ridiculous.

Clean no nonense workout. No bell and whistles here. You come in you get a great workout and you leave. You cant beat it for the price. LOVE IT!

Good gym with basic equipment. You wont find any dumbbell heavier than 60lbs. No squat rack. Plenty of machines. I go at night to avoid the crowd.

Dude working there was so helpful, it made me uncomfortable and I had to leave. He even followed me out of the planet fitness on the way to my car.I didnt even need help

I go to the gym almost every day. I have lost 25 lbs at this gym simply from eating less and working out more. I have had a problem with double charges which pushed me off and Im still waiting for my refund
