We went to fix my daughters hair. She has really curly, fine hair and it has been such a mess. Monica did exactly what my daughter asked for. She would make some cuts, and then as the cut was taking shape, Monica kept checking in about specifically what we wanted. It was a great experience and a great price!

I had a layer underneath that was shorter than the rest of my hair from a haircut last year but it blended with my hair (after being fixed) and looked gradual when I wore my hair in front. I took the photo the same day right after I got home and it is so uneven and choppy. She was lovely and the environment was great just not a good haircut for me. There was one point when she was combing the hair up and her scissors were next to the comb and I could see her accidentally cutting the hair by running the blade up it. Maybe just an off day but I have to give my honest feedback.

My first visit to Tangles today was a wonderful experience! Monica helped me to determine the best style for me, and she made it happen. Both she and Jessica, along with the front desk gal, were professional and friendly. Covid protocols were followed, and I felt safe. Ive already booked my next appointment. Thank you for a great cut!

I do believe this was the best hair cut I ever got. The treatment left my hair smooth and soft. Reagan is a very skilled hair expert and gave really great advice on keeping my hair in good shape. The salon and staff is just amazing. Really loved the place

I hadn’t had my hair professionally cut in ages so I know it was a dead mess, but Monica and her apprentice (so sorry I can’t remember her name- but she was so kind as well) were so great and had me walking out feeling refreshed! I have thick, curly, long-ish hair and not every stylist knows how to handle it, so finding Monica was lucky and I will definitely be a returning client :)

Everyone there was super nice and very helpful. Prices here are really good. Destin did an amazing job cutting my hair. She was very thorough and attentive, taking her time with everything from the washing, to drying, to the very last detail of my hair! She explained in detail before she did anything, even taking the length in bit by bit until I was satisfied. I would definitely go here again.

Monica has done my hair for 10 years. I love the way she colors it and cuts it. Since Monica is trained in cuting curly hair and my daughter has very curly hair, my daughter comes from Atlanta to have her hair cut by Monica.

Got my hair colored and it turned out really great, no smell color and everyone at the salon was real nice. Beautiful place and the shampoo gal was awesome, great neck & scalp massage, but sadly out of my price range for a regular appointment :(

Beautiful salon. They have top notch equipment, seating, services and overall experience. It reminds me of salons in Seattle. Plenty of parking too.Amy did an excellent job. My daughter wanted to be blond and then regretted it. Amy got her right back in and softened the style with a glaze. Very accommodating. I will keep coming back. I would recommend.

Ive been going to this salon for years. When I first moved to Augusta, I tried many places, and was always disappointed. Once I found Tangles though, I never looked back. Ive been going there every two weeks or so for the better part of 7 years.The staff is excellent and professional, highly recommend!

Unprofessional and unwelcoming experience. The woman working on my hair were petty toward each other and one openly toward me. My hair took twice as long because of it.Management, from the image you are trying so hard to portray, I really expected better from this place. You are running a business take a look at how your employees are treating each other and the customers.

I went to tangles a couple weeks ago to get my hair done. I got a simple trim/layers and color. It was one of the greatest experiences that Inhave had. The stylist was very informative and made sure what she was doin was what I wanted. I am ecstatic about my new hair style and 100% recommend Tangles! Im a guy with long curly hair. These guys claim to be curly hair specialists, but I was handed off to someone with not much experience. After the haircut I had people telling me I needed a haircut and people felt badly for me when I mentioned I had just gotten one. Went back for an adjustment and it was still not great. Not sure if its because I am a guy or what, but dont expect quality. People were really nice and all that, but I was paying for a haircut. If I wanted someone nice Id just talk to my friends.

Amy, your the BEST! Try their services they provide great cuts, highlights or whatever your desires maybe. I havent been disappointed.

Balayage was a new experience that the owner, Tracy Penny Gambrell thought I would be highly impressed and pleased with. After stepping into a clean, fresh, and classy salon I was greeted by two friendly professional Tangles staff members. I was ready to see how it was different from foil highlights. I was COMPLETELY AMAZED at how beautiful and natural looking the color is. I have already received several compliments. Tracy did an amazing job! Tangles is a one of a kind, must experience salon that stays up on the latest trends!

Update 11/29/18: Ive been regularly coming for a few months now and I can honestly say its the only hair salon Im actually excited to go to because I know afterwards Ill always look great! My stylist is Destin and she honestly does the greatest job while also making you feel like youre getting your haircut at home.Older review: I went to Tangles after work (1st time) for a mens haircut. What I received was an amazing experience thanks to my stylist Destin. The shampoo/massage was so relaxing, all my stress melted away. She was so confident and fun while cutting my hair, and most importantly, she made me look great. I immediately booked another appointment for the next week. There is a stylist there Amy and I think she worked for the owner for a while before she had clients, and I do not like her-DO NOT GO TO HER. Her prices are amazing, but she on the other hand not so much. She spends entirely too much time talking about her personal life which sounds like a complete mess, I do not think she is as knowledgable as she portrays, and she always has something negative to say. One of my girlfriends who see another stylist there mentioned something about her not having a license. I wanted to see a master stylist or head stylist which I was told was amazing, but there was a mix up because apparently there are multiple Amys at this salon so I was stuck with the wrong stylist. Again her prices are great, but for the salon to have this posh image she is not what I expected and I would not recommend her to anyone. I wouldnt even let her groom my dog! Beautiful place, lovely staff-with the exception of her, clean place, prices are ok. I will return to the salon, but I will make it clear on my next visit that I do not wish to be with her.
