My beautiful Calico cat Aniko passed and I was so unprepared for the emotional wave that rolled in. Having to make that decision to end our fur babies pain and suffering is not an easy one. Letting her go was extremely difficult, but I knew the best gift I could give her was to set her free of a body that no longer served her in this life.The vet asked if I wanted her cremated and without hesitation, I said yes. When I got the little box back with her ashes and a Certificate Of Private Cremation I felt such a sense of comfort knowing it was just her in there. Then I saw the card with her little paw print stamped on the front and the most beautiful poem inside with 3 little tuffs of each color of her hair tied up in twine and the tears just started flowing, it was the most unexpectedly wonderful gift I couldve received.I will treasure each one of those little tufts of hair forever, being able to still see her colors reminds me that she is with me always and makes me feel like she was so held by the sweet souls Linnemann Pet Services. There are no words to truly express my gratitude for you all! Thank you, thank you, thank you for this beautiful gift!

We never imagined that we would have to choose a funeral home to care for our son. The thought of doing that was so unsettling. And the decision had to be made so quickly after our sons unexpected death. Thankfully, our dear friend, Erin, was with us the night Joe died. She has had to bury both her husband and her mother. Erin immediately offered to call Louis and assured us that he would do everything possible to take care of us. She was right. Louis was at our house the next morning offering compassion and guidance. He brought a calming presence to all of us. We wanted to do our best to honor and celebrate our sons life, which meant many details had to be tended to before the service. Linnemann Funeral Homes took care of my dog when he passed away last week. They came and picked my dog up within a couple hours of my call, cremated him, and I picked up the remains the next day. Their prices were very reasonable and they were very kind.

I have to take a minute to brag on Josh B. From Linnemann. I recommend your facility two different times because of the care that was given to my family years ago when I lost my brother in law. A year ago today, I recommended Linneman Funeral home to my girlfriend whose husband committed suicide. When you have circumstances like this, it’s hard to understand and process it all. We were all in such shock. Josh took such wonderful care of her and her children during this most difficult time. My husband and I took care of making arrangements for her husband’s actual service by getting my brother and sister in law to speak and sing at his service. Josh went over and beyond to help them get set up and tear down after the service . He showed so much compassion at a time when the family needed it the most. He is genuinely so kind hearted and so compassionate. Last week, I recommended your place to my best friend Missy. Her and I grew up today but she since moved away. She lived in Burlington while her son was in high school but now resides in Versailles, Ky. Her son, Brent, who was in the military, died in a car accident in California. She immediately called me to ask where she should have his body sent to. I without hesitation mentioned Linnemann. I just know what kind of care that is given by your staff. When you lose a loved one, there are so many stages of grief that we experience. Sometimes it’s so hard to even think far ahead because your mind is going in so many directions. But I will say this, Josh stepped up and really went the extra mile to take care of Brent’s arrangements. I made arrangements to get our hometown to come out and pay respects to this young man and give him the honor he deserved when his body arrived at CVG. I couldn’t have done it without the help of Josh. He stayed in contact with me and helped me with doing this. I have never met someone who is so compassionate about his job. I am so grateful that he assisted their family. I honestly wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to have handled it. When talking to him, you genuinely feel that he cares about you and your well being. I will let you know this, I spoke with Brent’s mother today and she thanked me for recommending Josh and Linneman Funeral home to her. She then proceeded to break down crying and told me that Josh drove to her house to bring her a military plaque. He drove 1 hour and 20 minutes away to deliver that to them so they didn’t have to make the trip. He spent almost 3 hours in driving to make sure they got it. I was floored but not surprised because he truly is a very wonderful person who goes over and beyond to help you in your time of need.Missy’s exact words were to me while she was in tears was, “ thank you so much for recommending Josh to me, I don’t see him as an employee of the funeral home, I feel like I made a friend”. That’s what customer service is all about. It’s been on my heart to just share that with you. When my nephew died unexpectedly, Louis Linnemann and his staff were amazing at helping us through this incredibly difficult time. He did everything in his power to make the experience as healing for my family as possible. He answered every question with honesty, compassion, and when appropriate, gentle humor to help us all. Losing a young person is always so jarring and difficult. Louis and his team helped us create a beautiful ritual to say goodbye and a ceremony that was a true celebration of life. Even with covid restrictions in place, Louis and his team made everything the best we could hope for in this situation. Although I never would have dreamed to have met him in this way, I’m so glad Louis and his team cared for Joe and our family. I can’t recommend them enough.

Thank you for the cremation service you provided for our beloved pup, Willow. She was with us for 8 1/2 years and we found out unexpectedly that she had metastatic cancer in her lungs which had spread quickly from another organ. We had no idea and she went downhill fast. We had to put her down within a few days of finding out, which was devastating. The box with her name and ashes, a lock of her hair, the clay paw print with her name on it, including the paint paw print and the heartfelt rainbow bridge poem you all put together warmed our hearts. She was our baby girl and we miss her so much. Thank you for taking care of her and providing to us pieces of her to keep for the rest of our lifetime. We cannot thank you all enough.

We will die. Some sooner, some later, but we will all pass from what is to what comes next. And since that is the case, most of us will have the task of taking care of the final details for a family member or friend. That’s the position my sister and I were in a few weeks ago (Sept. 2019). Our brother had let us know he wanted us to work with the Linnemann Family for his after death care. That may have been his final gift to us as from our first call until the burial, we were cared for like family. Each step in the process was e planned. Nothing was rushed. Louis had answers to each query. Marsha listened to our stories which were captured perfectly in the Life Story she wrote. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for the way they guided us through this difficult time. I pray when it is my turn for someone to carry out my final wishes that they have the same amazing care my sister and I received from this wonderful family.

We used Linnemann Funeral Home for both of our parents funerals. My mother’s 8 years ago was sudden and tragic. My fathers this month was after 91 years but a quick passing. Both funerals were perfect. We could not have asked for better service, compassion or attention to details. Guy and then Marsha perfectly incorporated the incredible lives of my parents in great life stories, something we will forever treasure. It’s never easy when you need a Funeral Home but when you do Linnemann makes is so much easier! They are so professional, but so caring at the same time. My family unfortunately had to contact a funeral provider the end of 2019 for my grandmother. The provider we used was not at all pleasant and did not make the grieving process easier, but almost harder from having to stress and worry about things. In January of 2020 we unfortunaly had to contact a funeral provider yet again for my grandfather. We knew we were nit satisfied with the provider for my grandmother and figured it couldnt be any worse so we would try a different provider and decided to contact Linnrmann and honestly we couldn’t have ask for anything better than what they provided. They are the BEST in NKY in my book!

I was overwhelmingly unimpressed with the treatment my family and I received from the owner of Linnemanns, Louis, after a long morning of processing and coping with my Grandmothers passing.My Gradfather, too, passed 3 months ago and we used a specific funeral home for his cremation (without any service.) With the shock of this heartache this morning we contacted this same company to perform the cremation service and then set up an appointment with Linnemann to discuss holding the actual ceremony.When arriving at Linnemann, we were greeted by a woman who was very warm, accommodating, and expressed her condolences. When we met with Louis his first words to us were not Im sorry for your loss, but instead inquiring as to why we didnt use them for the cremation. He then informed us that since we used an outside company for the cremation, that we werent allowed to use their facility for a ceremony.I understand that certain rules and guidelines need to be met, but the sheer rude and unprofessional manner that the situation was handled made my familys nightmare of an experience even worse.In this type of business, treating those grieving with respect and sympathy is at the utmost importance. I would not recommend this type of treatment that we received to anyone.
