FitnessU has friendly staff and trainers who help you whenever you have a question! The facility is super clean as well, which is very important to me. On another note, I had a training session with Trevor the other day and wow I was so sore the next day! He definitely knows what hes doing, I do recommend him and plus he is super nice!

They keep the pool and locker room a little too cold for Childrens swim lessons, but other than that ~ we are loving the swim instructor, front desk is always helpful. We would definitely take swim lessons here again.

I love this gym! Not only is the facility amazing, but the staff always go above and beyond. They all care about you, your health and your goals. I also enjoy my personal training sessions. My personal trainer pushes me, listens to me, and helps me reach my goal one week at a time. I am so grateful for this gym. They have really impacted my life on such a grand scale.

This is my gym! It’s the best one!

I just started here and I really like it! I worked out at the Y a few years ago and loved the pool and track, but couldnt afford the membership anymore. Planet Fitness was good but didnt have the amenities I wanted the most in a gym - I pay $2 more than I was at PF to come here and its cheaper than a Y membership with pretty much the same amenities. The staff is extremely friendly. It is a really nice gym and I actually feel motivated to work out now since coming here. Only thing that is frustrating is that Ive noticed it can be difficult it can be to get a lane in the pool, but this place is really popular and it shows.

I signed my son up for private swimming lessons. One session and he is doing so well. I am so impressed with the quality! Worth every penny!My husband has also had a membership here for years. He is very pleased.Thank you!

We love our swim instructor for our son. Angelia is wonderful and does so great with him.If there is one suggestion Id like to make, please install a baby changing table in the mens locker room. My husband and I switch off who takes him to swim lessons depending on whos working and the mens locker room has no where for my husband to change him.

Leaking ceilings with buckets everywhere, no smoothie bar as advertised, will continue to charge you after you cancel your membership, because of some imaginary cancelation form. They sent me to collections for $96 when I hadn’t even used their services for months. This is a terrible business that is falling apart and is run very poorly.

Equipments are nice and pool area is good. Staffs are friendly.

The gym was great and this isnt to bash the nice facility they have. I was a member back in 2016 and cancelled my membership because I was moving out of erie . 4 years later I received a call from a debt collector for money owed. It was never communicated ever that I owed them a balance when I closed my account ! I would have payed immediately! Beware!

This is nothing against the staff there, they’ve been wonderful and I’ve felt nothing but welcome in there. However the fact that they have continued charging customers while shut down for the pandemic is pretty low of them. Not to mention the amount of fees the expect to be paid if you want to close your membership down. Honestly, ruined my whole experience here. No consideration for those who are currently laid off or have lost their jobs AGAIN.Not to mention large parts of the gym being unavailable for weeks at a time or not having been open since I joined.I will be canceling my membership as soon as I can afford to.

Choice of background music is irritating,lockers could use a good cleaning and repair.

Experience has been in the childrens swim lessons only, but staff was communicative and helpful. They worked to accommodate schedules and found an awesome instructor who clicked with my shy child immediately.

Good price and nice machines. Small track, a lap pool sauna and hot tub. Friendly staff clean place and some decent classes too. Ample parking good hours and convenient location for me anyway. Locker room needs some major work nasty carpet and nasty wooden lockers. If you dont need the locker room its 5 stars.

Great Place and awesome staff. Started to go to one of there personal trainer, Steve Sollera and he is great. He has tailored workouts to make working out both challenging and fun. Id recommend to all my friends and family. Really enjoy going there. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Keep being awesome Fitness U.

My family have been members for years. It’s so nice to be able to have a facility to accommodate schedules and work with young kids. My son had been with his trainer for over 3 years, he absolutely loves it. The bond that they share makes a huge difference. All the staff is friendly, and amazing! Keep up the good work!

We liked the swimming lessons for our kids, although the water is a little cold. We started with the group lessons which were good, but now they are taking private lessons with Sarah Riley and she is awesome. She is an excellent teacher and the girls love their lessons. I have noticed a lot of progress, specially for my oldest one.

Make sure you are really happy with the promotion you get. They change them often and once youre in a contract a better deal will inevitably come along. The cancellation fees are outrageous! It would almost cost more to cancel than to continue paying every month. On the plus side all of the employees are very nice.

Bryan at the counter is great customer service and is very helpful and friendly, but continuing to dump bleach in the pool just makes a pool of bleach and just bleached poop. Better standards need implemented in that area. Annette is s great teacher, and the manager there tall thin dark haired gentleman is also very helpful but apparently no one is letting him know of the bleach pool with floating bits of stool.

Thank god i found this gym compared to iron oxygen. Tony is so great and the rest of the staff is always really nice and helpful. I’m glad i signed up here. Also it is always clean and never too loud

Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I liked the privacy in the personal training room. I felt so comfortable during my exercise.

I recently joined Fitness U, and met with Logan this week. I found him easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and considerate of the needs of the customer.we tried equipment that are appropriate for my goals and he gave me tips for successful use. This is my first experience with a fitness trainer, and I was very pleased.

Recently enrolled in Silver Sneakers program...had a one hour personal training consult with Molly. She is very knowledgeable and enjoyed the hints about proper technique with using various machines.

Front Desk people are very welcoming when you walk in.

I really enjoy working with my trainer Kaine. Starting to see results already after just a couple of weeks - lost weight and less pain in my shoulders. Highly recommend FitnessU!

The newly renovated pool is the only reason I go and I think its great. They also offer walk in classes(unfortunately most of the variety is offered during the typical work hours), an indoor track (13 laps per mile) and plenty of free weights and machines. When I do go to lift I rarely have to wait (seated row tends to have wait time almost always)

Everyone is very friendly and many call you by name, which means they are trying to engage and really making an effort to make you feel like a workout family. There are many exciting things going on all the time.

I just love fitness u swim program. My daughter has been going there since she was 6 months old. This program taught her water safety and basic swim techniques.

Came to this gym because I was not happy at my last (gym) - worst. decision. ever.I heard good things about this place and liked the fact that they had a pool. So I completed the switch to only realize how outdated the equipment is. I am convinced that most equipment there cane from garage sales!!The owners expanded and bought out a gym which had newer equipment, yet they chose to purchase newer equipment for it - forgetting about this rundown of a place, they have no intentions of fixing this place up.My friends have toured this place and agreed, but this is where things are differ for me. I expressed my displeasure with one of the owners at the facility and talked about switching to the new gym to resolve this. He told me to buy a membership to both; I explained that does not sound logical or financially smart and would prefer one membership. He is insisted I keep this one and go to the new one at a discounted rate.What a joke - money hungry owners who I can not believe people support.

I have been going here for a few years now (4-5 years), and have been very happy with the price, the hours, the machines (there are some new ones, and they all function fine for me), and the babysitting option. The front desk staff when I go (during the early weekday hours) have all been very friendly and helpful. I have been happier with the most recent staff of babysitters, including a staff member who actually teaches preschool. This wasnt the case when I joined this place as Nautilus during my first year. With my job and young kids, the 5:00 opening time is so appreciated. For the price Im paying ($24/month), I am beyond satisfied. I dont even take advantage of the classes they offer. I dont usually post reviews, but I definitely have a much more positive experience than several of the reviewers below, and felt it proper to comment on it.

After they took over the other gym they kept my membership at 40$ instead of there membership of 24$ for 8 months this went on u til I found out that you had to ask them to change your membership . I was a member for 9 years and this is how they treat you ! They even turned me over to collections screw them!!!! I will never step foot in any of there gyms poor way to run a business!

Take caution before joining this gym and read the fine print in their contracts. They tried to take $660 out of my account automatically every month for 6 months when I was told something completely different !!! That is LAUGHABLE 😳 if I could give them -10 stars I would.

Needed to cancel my membership because I have moved to another state. I was notified that there is only one person that can do membership cancellations and they dont come in until noon. Didnt matter to the employee that I had already ran out my 2 year contract even. Just no I cant do that...

See Korey Bastian review from 2 weeks ago. Not recommended due to professionalism. Better off going to Planet Fitness and not dealing with the small print of contracts. Injured myself 6 months into a 2 year contract, then was not able to make it in. As soon as the 2 years were over I started to receive texts and emails to pay. I sent a reply back to them as to my situation that if they looked, they would see no activity in the last 18 months and that the email is my recognition of cancellation. No reply back, then a month later instead of a final bill I receive a ping to my credit with a listing of a reported 72 dollars not 48. For any new clients, word of advise pay attention to everything they say and do because they will try to extract as much as they can.

Annette is an amazing instructor, she takes the time to make certain you are doing the movement correctly in Pilates & Trye Crew classes...She has a fantastic attitude and has a way to motivate you without degrading your effirts, always encouraging!Need more True Crew classes or other Express format classes!

Dillon found to appropriate to send text messages while Im working and threaten collections via text over $48. Harassing and unprofessional. Ill never put a card on file after they continuously charged a friend of mine months after membership was formally canceled.Dillon was incredibly arrogant. Girl at the counter when I canceled seemed quite concerned that he was texting me and only putting occasionally and incomplete notes in my profile.Facility itself has gone downhill. Leg machines (press/seated curl) barely work. Heavy dumbbells are mostly broken. Havent added any new lifting stuff in the 18 months I was a member. Glad to be gone.

A great gym for the price. Not recommended for those who complain a lot expecting a place where you could eat off the floor. Its a gym not a daycare. Come in, put in hard work, get out. Has all of the weights and equipment you need.

I am torn on FitnessU. Its a great environment with great staff BUT the equipment is very old and the place is not very clean, ever. Out on the floor there is literally ONLY 2 places for wipes, to wipe down the machines, and they cant ever seem to keep those stocked. Its sad, especially when I walk in and the front desk staff is always on their phones. The whole place together needs an update and I think $24/month is a little too much, especially when you can go join Best Fitness for $10/m and the equipment is newer and the place is always so clean. Dont get me wrong, the hours are great at FitnessU and the pool and sauna are nice to have, but Ive only heard horror stories about the pool and the locker rooms are always smelly and gross too. Its a shame they spent so much money to move I-Rock into the facility, how about we spend some money re-doing the whole entire fitness floor and all of the equipment.
