I have been waiting over an hour just to see the doc...and my appointment time was 7:45! How many patients could possibly be in front of us? There appears to be a ton of staff, who are very polite, but no urgency to get to us. Once we saw the doctor, he was pleasant, professional and thorough. I am happy with the care my daughter received!

As someone who is looking into the future and seeing a knee replacement, I asked my doctor if I could go to physical therapy for a recently re-injured, arthritic knee and received a prescription to visit the UPMC Sports Medicine facility. My first session was today and I was thoroughly satisfied with the level of professional care that I received. I was first given a consultation with Robert Deppen PT, DPT, MS, ATC who talked to me about the knee, the arthritis, and then took video of my gait and showed me how my joint was working. This was followed by a step-by-step physical therapy session telling me the reason for the activity and how it will benefit my overall knee health. I left the session with instructions for home that required NO equipment and can be done in my living room and very happy with the ease of ability and immediate rapport with Robert.As I was in the facility I noticed that I was not the only one receiving close attention. The other students in the facility were also carefully watched and evaluated upon entering, while there, and before leaving the gym. This is a very well-run site and I have no doubt that the muscles around my knee will become stronger with time. This is a first-rate facility and combined with the breathtaking view of the Lake Erie Bay is a true gem in Erie.
