I drove 5 hours round trip just to go back to Dr. Sara Myer after we moved away. Calling to make the appointment was a breeze. Checking in at the office went smoothly. Im surprised to see so many negative reviews. I will continue to take the drive as needed just for the care from the staff. Honestly. They took the time to make sure I could have 3 different appointments in the same day. And the views from the waiting room are hard to beat.

At my last appointment I told my doctor that I was concerned that my medication needed to be changed because it’s causing my mental health to decline rapidly. She seemed to be in such a big rush that she didn’t address my concerns just saying that I should call if it gets worse.I called the office to set and appointment and was transferred to triage. I was told if I gave all of my information they would call me back in 24 hours- this was a month ago and I never heard back. I have a feeling that reception just doesn’t want to deal with people. Every time I try to call back the wait is way too long for me to hang on and I’m just getting worse as time goes on. At this point I feel like I should stop taking it and look for a new office.

I used to love the practice, but for the last 5 years or so, it’s a revolving door with their staff. I do not feel as if I matter to the practice. After two weeks of trying to get a human being in the phone to figure out what the heck is going on with a prescription and not getting any answers from them, it’s most definitely time to find a new provider.

Very long, convoluted check-in procedure (20 minutes on average). Despite providing them with detailed verbal and written instructions, after each after visit I needed to personally call to retrieve my test results, because they were not forwarded to my physician in a timely manner—which is of utmost importance during an IVF cycle when medications need to be adjusted and timed according to test results. The staff and nurses on location are friendly, but had some rude encounters over the phone.

Office is nice but they are allowing way to many people in the waiting room and making you stand too close at checkin for Covid precautions. Seats are only 2 feet apart so it’s hard to stay away from others. There were 21 people in the waiting room plus 5 workers. They also have you wait for a long time in the waiting room potentially exposing you more. I had 2 appointments so I waited 30 minutes + 30 minutes for a total of 1 hour in a crowded room. They lied about calling in the medication they gave NO CALL BACKS after leaving 3 messages and telling the women at the front desk i need a live nurse they always agree then send me to the prescription line which does NOT call back. Unless you physically show up to the office do not expect they will get anything done. I called 12 different times before giving up on that. I now have an appointment in a new office thank god.

Huge business, only place to go locally. The facility is clean with modern equipment. You can be in and out quickly. GREAT IF YOU JUST NEED A PAP AND HAVE NO OTHER ISSUES. As a married 32 year old woman, no children, hoping for a family for years, this was the most traumatic experience Ive ever encountered with loss of a pregnancy. One child out of twins now deceased. My pathetic and old bodys fault. My husband being present as well during this visit.I highly encourage all of your medical staff, Drs too, to get sensitivity training and learn how to treat a hurting patient once delivering terrible news, regardless if she be a 14 year old teenager not wanting the child to begin with,or a 32 year old woman that this is all she wants...Just a few examples, The nurse that did my initial prenatal counceling calling the Dr. In front of me asking if she should use the code for miscarriage or vanishing twin Not appropriate in front of me the patient.ALSO LAB STAFF -additional training- the same woman every visit sticks me 4 times then harshly scolds me not to move as I almost pass out... I have been in the medical field for 13 years and treat all my patients with gentleness and sensitivity -every day, every time. Heartbreaking to see medical care everywhere is unfortunatley now going in a different direction similar to this experience...no where else to go.... This has negatively impacted me for the remainder of my life. I will have to continue to be seen here and will hopefully become more numb with each visit so that it hurts less each time...Trish a medical assistant, was the only staff to show me compassion and gave me a hug that I so badly needed. Never change, your patients need you.

First off, the only reason I am giving OB/GYN Assoc. a three star review is because of Dr. Larry Thompson whom I have been seeing for a number of years and wouldnt change him. He has an incredible demeanor and always makes me feel comfortable and answers ALL of my questions. He gets an A+ from me, and I would give this place five stars if it were JUST on his performance and presence. Now for the terrible part which would be a 1 if I could rate separately -- I found out I was pregnant right around Memorial Day. I knew it wasnt official until getting the blood test done at my doctors office. I went to OBGYN, had my blood taken, and was sent out. I was told by friends who also go there that it could take up to three days to get this result back. I called the office to see about setting up my first prenatal appointment after waiting and waiting for results, and was put on hold through triage, left a message, and waited almost 24 hours before hearing from a nurse/doctor. She apologized that no one had called me. She then scheduled me for my first prenatal appointment at the end of June.Ten days later after finding out I was pregnant, I began to notice some worrisome signs. I waited a few more days and called the office to speak to someone. Again, they said they would put it to triage and I would get a call back. A call never came. A few days later, I woke in the morning and just knew in my gut I was miscarrying. I waited about thirty minutes before calling the office. I reached someone, and through tears and a choked up voice I explained what was happening. The woman on the other line seemed to want to pass me off right away, and YET AGAIN I was told the concern would be put through to triage and they WOULD RETURN MY CALL. I have never been pregnant before. I was home alone and scared. I waited 40 minutes to get a phone call back to a woman saying, How fast can you get here? I mean, how fast can you get here safely? We rushed over to the Myrtle Street location. I waited a few minutes before being called back to a sono room where the girl kept saying, I cant really confirm a pregnancy, but your doctor will be able to talk with you about it. I told her straight up, LOOK, I know whats happening, but am I okay? And she told me the doctor would talk to me. I then met a midwife, Kara, who GOD BLESS HER, took me into a room and told me that I was most likely experiencing a miscarriage. She had very kind words, and told me it wasnt 100% certain until my hcg levels were checked every two days and were consistently dropping. They took my blood that day. The girl at the reception desk didnt even know how to schedule these every 48 hour blood tests being one was going to land on a Sunday. She was asking a fellow receptionist right next to her about what to do and the girl literally ignored her same question THREE times because she was texting.....My fiance and I were just staring at each other, confused out of our minds. I went to get my blood taken four times since then (twice being at ACL), and today I realized that no one has called me (nor the ROBOT system) to let me know if my levels are back to 0. This is what really prompted me to write this rant: I was just on hold for 10 minutes, someone answered, and sent me straight to a voicemail where they tell you it could take up to 24 hours to receive anything back. I cannot BELIEVE how unprofessional and unsympathetic this organization is in such a terrible time for someone. I am praying I find a better office because I couldnt imagine going through this again with this same organization. I still have not even seen Dr. Thompson who I feel would have made this experience a little less stinging. This was my first pregnancy experience with OB Assoc and I hope I find a new location before the next time. I have read some other reviews that mimic mine, and to all of you who have had a similarly bad experience, I am so sorry and feel for you.

You see them for maybe 2 minutes total and this is no exaggeration. However, this wasn’t my main issue. My issue was being billed for services I did not agree to.I had my 12 week ultrasound. The tech used the abdominal ultrasound for all of 10 seconds before she said ‘take off your pants, we need to do this vaginally’. To me, this didn’t mean a separate ultrasound fee, it just meant she was relocating the probe. I get my bill and was charged for 2 ultrasounds.Mind you, this technician was aware I was a self pay patient. She led me to believe this was considered ONE ultrasound. She convienientally left out the part about the extra fee. So now I have an additional $250 to pay for a 10 second ultrasound that didn’t even work.I called billing. The woman was rude and not interested in helping resolve the situation. She told me to write a letter. There was nothing she could do. She only repeated to me that ‘you had 2 views’. So I had her cancel my next appointment and I will be switching to a doctor who cares about their patients.Save yourself any additional stress during your pregnancy and do not trust OB/GYN Associates of Erie with your prenatal care. I will continue to fight this extra cost. I will send a check in $250 short of the balance they say is owed with a letter attached explaining why I’m refusing to pay for the abdominal ultrasound. I also intend to send a letter to billing. I’ll pay what I actually owe and will not accept being overcharged and neither should any of you.

Got referred here by my small practice, usual OB/GYN, so someone could schedule surgery for a troubling ovarian cyst. Ive had symptoms and reoccurring pain for three months. Then four months, as the doctor I saw sloughed me off and told me to schedule surgery by calling in. Two weeks later I was told that was simply not how its done and he had never told them I would be scheduling. I saw another doctor in the practice that turned out could not even help, they called that one a clerical error. It has been five months now. I found Dr. Brzozowski competent and friendly. He slated me for surgery in early November, but inevitably it was cancelled three days before my surgery date, and pushed one more month out into December. It has been nearly half a year of dealing with the pain and uneasiness where it could have ended over three months ago.I also must note the surgery scheduler, Carolyn, is unprofessional at best, and talked down to me the duration of this endeavor. She was unhelpful and unwilling to clarify why my surgery was canceled and instead avoided my questions. I have never been talked down to and treated like an idiot to such a degree, or for such a long duration of time, by someone who claims to be a professional. We were forced to talk to the HR CEO in order to avoid her completely and actually keep my second surgery date in place after another attempted cancellation.Do not go here if you can avoid it. You are a number, not a human, and there are too many people going in and out the door to get the care you deserve.

I have never done a review for a Dr. Office before but i feel the need to. Never have I ever been so disrespected as I was with my visit today.! I was scheduled at the office by my infertility dr and upon me arriving realized that I should have never been scheduled for the testing I needed done bc I had never been seen there before. This was all turned around to be my fault. From the Ultrasound tech, PA, and Phlebotomy tech I was treated horrible.! I refuse to go back to this office for anything else in the future.!Apparently none of the girls I dealt with have ever struggled with infertility. Not everyone was ignorant. The receptionist and nurse I dealt with were very friendly.I drove over two hours to have the testing done and refuse to go back in the future.!

I dont get the sense that these people care about me or any of their patients.Once when I was checking out, the woman processing my paperwork stopped to talk to the woman next to her. They were complaining about a patient whose doc told her to get in asap. The woman literally said I swear, sometimes I think wed just be better off without patients.!!!Um, you wouldnt exist without patients. When I had a miscarriage, they sent me to the ER. at the ER they were like, why didnt you go to your doc? (because, you know, there were actual emergencies, like knife wounds and and old man having a heart attack.) Then it took forever to get a follow appt. Gee, thanks for caring. When I was sent to a specialist at Cleveland Clinic, I couldnt get OB/GYN Erie so send my test results. When they did it was only half.Good luck scheduling an appointment - they come up with all kinds of Rules to put you off. Today its She only takes New Prenatals on certain days. Im not a new patient. Once I get in to see my Midwife, I like her. But the support staff is a bunch of a-holes for the most part.

I am extremely upset and hurt by this group of doctors. I went to them because they specialize in PCOS. I get told they can give me the number to a bariatric surgeon and a nutritional counselor but refuse to give me anything to help with ovulation. That is the samething I have heard from every doctor that I have seen thus far. What the hell do you know that specializes you or the practice that others dont if your giving same advice.

I have not been back for something around 3 years. I found myself confused as to which physicians stayed with Obgyn Associates and which are with McGee Womens. I came across these reviews as I was looking for a new OB and I am posting this late review because after reading the others left I decided that being responded to by someone in a positive way...or at all, is the best thing Ive seen come from the office since I have been there last. I suppose Im angry that the poor care has led me to avoid going to the doctor when I know how important it is. That, i feel, says something very UNhealthy about this office. I find myself uninsured with the ability to self pay, however these multiple accounts of misbilling have me uneasy. I too had the experience of misread test results which Im confident to say because I also recieved multiple answers from multiple people, therefore, someone is incorrect. How sad it is that still I dont know what the true answer is.I too had the experience of what I feel was a case of being brushed aside. I was on the verge of bleeding to death in my sleep while I was a patient. After several days of reporting symptoms to the office who informed me it would stop, I was told that the bleeding was impressive by an ER doc who called the on-call OB. She immediately performed a procedure to stop it and told me just prior I had lost almost half of my blood. I still feel disgusted when I think of having to receive the transfusion and how upset it made me that had someone listened to my multiple calls with urgency that what I was going through was not normal I would not have to deal with someone elses bodily fluids running through mine. The receptions are unprofessional and disrespectful. The physicians I delt with judgemental. I second the idea of negative stars.

I have been with Dr. Weibel for the past 20 years more or less and Amanda NP. I have never had an issue with getting an appointment and upon arrival the reception staff are swift in registering me and I am usually back in a room and see the health professional and out the door within 45 min at best. Sometimes a little longer if we get on a subject of interest. All in all I have to say that between Ohio State OBGYN, Cleveland Clinic Infertility, Toledo OBGYN & Infertility and numerous other offices, this facility is my favorite place for my gynecological needs.

I had such high hopes for this Ob/Gyn after hearing such good things from friends/neighbors. However, my experience was a nightmare. As many other reviews have mentioned, the staff are cold and unhelpful, both in person and over the phone. Bedside manner was also very poor. I was addressed as Kiddo throughout my appointment, which was highly degrading.I had a procedure done and I was explicitly told that my insurance would cover it (which I now know was a mistake on the part of the person who said this, since the office does not call your insurance and check coverage for you, so they have no idea what your insurance will or will not cover until they submit the claim later). Now, 2 months later and Im still receiving bill after bill for different parts of the procedure: hospital facility usage fees (because apparently some samples were sent to a hospital lab), pathology service fees (for the technicians to actually test said samples), fees for seeing the Ob/Gyn at their offices, etc, etc. This was an optional procedure that I would have never undergone had I known it would cost me this much money.I also was never given any explanation of said procedure, its pros and cons, or its expected outcomes. It was just referred to me as something we should do to be safe. After doing some research after the fact, I have learned that it is actually a controversial procedure and with all the information beforehand, I would have likely not chosen to undergo it. Throughout the procedure, all my questions were answered with only the most basic and juvenile facts, again, pretty insulting for someone who also works in the health field and can handle an explanation a bit more advanced than you seem to have a lumpy-bumpy. I still have not been able to get any information on the results of the lab work that cost me a fortune since it was sent to the local hospital. Ive called multiple times and the receptionist refuses to put me through to the doctor, nurse practitioner, PA, or anyone for that matter. Ive just been simply told tests were inconclusive, but you should have nothing to worry about. Thanks, but Ill be taking my business elsewhere.

I would love to tell my story but theres not enough space here...they made me and my baby suffer...they are lacking sympathy and education. My baby was overdue because of this place. You can only argue so much about when your lmp is . no dr or nurse should tell you when they think you are due unless they know that your overdue baby is just really big...i will always resent this group...my delivery? Because my daughter was #7 for the day they were upset with me? Thanks for making my only experience unhealthy and miserable not to mention i think my baby has delays because of their sloppy mistakes.

A long with other reviewers this place is strictly quantity and not quality. My wife had an ultrasound today and we had an appointment to get results immediately afterwards with dr.daly. I guess a pa came out and said your going to have to make another appointment because dr.daly. is to busy. I am so upset right now because my wife is stressing out and all they want to do is jerk my chain. Used to like this place. Thinking I will need to change offices after this snafu. Really upset.

This practice deserves negative stars. The phone system is a complete mess. You choose the option to make an appointment and you listen to music for three minutes before it kicks you back to the main menu again. When you do get through to someone, they are rude and interrupt. They have 0 concern for you because, lets face it, they are your only option. So where else are you going to go?My pharmacy tried calling them twice to get my refills approved and they never got a return call. It took me two hours to get through and talk to a person to get it cleared up.From the way they treat you when you walk in the door, to when you see someone, they treat you like cattle. You are just a number to them. They hand you a beeper like in a restaurant. You feel rushed through the appointment. My family member lost her two day old baby, and when she went in for a check up, they asked how the baby was doing. Who does that!?!?They see so many people, they dont know you from the next person.... Very dangerous when you are dealing with peoples health.Shes had complications after this as well, and had such a hard time getting through it was ridiculous. They are horrible at returning calls. When she finally got ahold of someone, they treated her like crap... Showing complete disregard for her concerns. All of this is so sad, because before my group of doctors at Bayside OB/GYN joined this nightmare of a practice, I couldnt say enough good about them.If you are going to have a monopoly and be the only place a woman can go to for OB/GYN services in Erie, you need to step it up and get your acts together. Women deserve better. This is so far beyond unacceptable, I dont even know what to say.

As others have noted, the staff was rude whenever we called with concerns...on several occasions.Very impersonal. They make you change doctors after every apointment. Found out we were pregnant and they handed us a bag full of pamphlets and sent us on our way. When you walk in they hand you a buzzer like youve just entered olive garden. We often felt misinformed on what was going on, or why procedures were being done. Dr. Daily and Dr. Thompson are wonderful, but they need to not be associated with this place. Its the 5 minute oil change equivalent of OBG offices.

I have been a patient of Dr. Scutellas for 12+ years. He literally saved my life. I had been without health insurance, and so let my gynecological health sit on the back burner...well I was told that our local Planned Parenthood would take appts without insurance, for free and that was wonderful. Anyway, my pap was so abnormal the NP immediately scheduled me for a LEEP and a cone biopsy with Dr. Scutella. Again, I was not charged a penny. I was told that had I gone another year without a pap, I definitely would have gotten cervical cancer. He took me on as one of his permanent patients. We worked out a payment plan for office visits until I obtained insurance. He has been with me through ALL my abnormals (which is every pap), when I suddenly developed severe groin pain he DXd a uterine fibroid, and just this past week I had another LEEP.He never rushes my appointments, he always takes time to talk to me, to answer my questions, to suggest treatment options and he doesnt leave the appointment until I feel comfortable with what weve discussed.I have also never had a problem with any of his staff--they are always helpful, courteous, discreet, and kind. Some people I have seen are complaining about the pager/number system they now use. Its for HIPAA compliance, its not designed to make you feel like just a number. There are so many doctors/PAs/NPs in that office that the waiting area is consistently full. If they called people by their first names they will always have more than one Mary, or Susan or insert-name-here. By associating you with a number and a pager, they are protecting your privacy and ensuring that they are calling the correct patient back to the correct appointment.I cant express how happy I am with this office.

This place seems great unless you actually have issues with your pregnancy. A lot of the sonographers do no take there job seriously and are rude, I was misdiagnosed, by a sonographer and which had I not been could of saved me a lot of trouble. Thankfully for Magee womens hospital they were able to literally save my situation. This place is strictly quantity not quality. If they cant take the time to care about each persons situation they need to either hire more staff or take less people.Theres one women in the NST room, which whom I had the best experience with out of the two, short blonde hair, usually tied back, short in height shes usually always working Thursdays. The other women who works in there is TERRIBLE. Long straight brown hair, skinny, and takes everything you say in one ear and out the other. I hope to write there names my next appointment and edit them back into the post.I pretty much prefer to travel the two hours to Pittsburgh to get serious care and I do. If you have a high risk pregnancy this place is an absolute joke.
