Dr. Heron is wonderful! I have been going to her for a few years now & have been having my best results due to her recommendations. I’m Truly thankful !!You all have to realize this facility is run by just 1 Dr, she does not have other drs so yes you have to understand that alone & go in knowing it may take time, but every appointment takes time at all offices. Her office is beautiful & comfortable, def not the usual experience, plus she goes above and beyond to help! Very knowledgeable & does what she can.Her office manager Christina is the only other person there, she is also amazing! She goes above & beyond as well.I understand people’s frustration, but this is 2 people taking on as many people they can to help them, it’s not about the money, your true well being is their goal & I’m so happy I found them when I did. Thank you guys for all you do!!!

Dr. Heron was one of the first people to really believe in me. She listened and cared about who I was and what I struggled with.It’s hard to find a medical professional who cares this much and wants what’s best for her clients.

The staff here are SO nice! i am so happy i found them.

Used to be good but now no one answers the phone or returns messages. Not professional or acceptable to treat patients this way. This was over a 4 month period... Finally got records.

I still vote this place as a great place and people who arent even her patients are commenting and leaving reviews. Very immature of them honestly. I will always give this place an amazing 2 thumbs up!

I had high hopes for this practice. The Dr was significantly Iate to both appointments. There was no receptionist the first visit and we overheard private voicemail as they were broadcast on speakerphone all over the office. The receptionist at the second visit showed no concern when we tried to figure out where the heck the Dr was 45 minutes after we were scheduled. She was irritated we even asked. The office rug looks like it hadn’t been swept in ages. The Dr was abrupt, talked down to me and was very quick to scoot us out without asking anything beyond basics. She failed to call in the script and it was a huge problem to work that out despite urgently needing medications. The assessment process was completely shallow. She doesn’t take medical assistance and the fees were outrageous. There was no referral for ongoing care or even discussion about comprehensive care...simply “here’s the medicine.” And away we went. Extremely dissatisfied with this experience.

Find a different psychiatrist Dr Heron has stopped responding, doesnt answer the phone, and is very unethical.

Dr. Heron is wonderful, she was so patient and accommodating even though my toddler was having a complete meltdown by the time we got back to her office. She definitely has a mother’s patience and flexibility! I’m glad we found her practice!

I would challenge anyone who says Dr. Heron is a bad doctor/person. She is the most giving and caring psychiatrist there is in PA! She makes time for patients. She shows genuine concern for everyone. If you havent seen her in a year? She will try to fit you in the same day to get you refills and catch up with you! Cant afford the fees? She tries to work with you! Need Medical Marijuana? She fits you in same day for medical marijuana appointments and they only take 15 minutes!Those that say she forgets them or she makes them wait an hour. She forgets no one. If you were going to your own doctor you would be sitting in the waiting room for almost a hour! You dont get to complain about times when she is the only doctor working there and one office administrator. If you think youre entitled, youre not. You treat people with respect, especially when they do what they can.She is doing the job of several doctors by herself, and that is hella impressive! She owns her own private business! She shouldnt have to hire 10 people because people cant wait. Her team works, its not their fault you have to pay a deductible, its not their fault that your refills didnt get sent through for the 5th time that day, its not their fault that you come to the office unprepared. Own up to your own faults and stop pushing that on this lovely woman and her staff. She is amazing and Im sending everyone I know to her. I would suggest you do the same. ❤❤❤❤

I scheduled an appointment about a week and a half ago, after my psychologist, primary care physician, and parents expressed their concerns that I have been exhibiting signs and symptoms of bipolar disorder. I have struggled with my mental health for the last 9 years, during which time I have been in treatment. My primary care physician finally said that she could no longer treat me for my mental health, and recommended seeing a psychiatrist, to which I happily agreed.I received a confirmation text message for my appointment, which was for 10:45 on 1/20/2021 (today). They asked me to arrive 15 minutes prior to my appointment in order to fill out paperwork, and I did promptly arrive at 10:30 this morning.Due to COVID restrictions, I called to check in at 10:30 once I had arrived. The phone was not answered. I figured they were busy with other patients, so I waited a few minutes, and then I called again. I called five times between 10:30 and 10:45 trying to check in, before finally getting out of my car and walking through the snow (the sidewalk was not shoveled, and the snow went up to my ankles) to their front door. The door was locked. I called once more, left a message detailing that I was trying to check in, and returned to my car.Once in my car, I called another 5 times (totaling in 11 phone calls, none of which were answered), before finally leaving and returning to my apartment.I do have proof of my confirmation text message, confirming that my appointment was today at 10:45, and of all 11 phone calls made between 10:30 and 11:05.I still have not heard back from the office, almost an hour after my appointment was supposed to begin.I do not write reviews for businesses, no matter how poor my experience was; however, as a fellow healthcare professional, and former psychology student, I am extremely disappointed in the lack of communication. Psychiatry is held to a very high standard, and my experience today left me feeling as though I had been “stood up” by a doctor.To the practice: if you choose to respond to this disputing my claims, please keep in mind that I do have proof of this experience.Update: it has been over 24 hours and I still have not heard from Dr. Heron or her staff. No apology, no explanation.

I went to her once. Will never go back. Nothing negative it was just a waste of my time and 20 dollars

I had my first apt today with Dr. Heron. I was extremely impressed with not only Dr. Heron’s compassion and understanding but also the secretary at the front desk and the cleanliness of the office. Her office is beautiful and has very comfortable seating. Her secretary was very helpful and friendly. She made me feel at ease and comfortable in a situation where I was very anxious and nervous. Dr. Heron was very nice. She has a great demeanor and seemed to actually care about my health concerns. I left feeling hopeful for my future and that I’m in good hands! I will be making an apt to return.Thank you, Dr. Heron and Staff!!

Dr. Heron has such a comforting bed-side manner. She is quite professional and well educated. I leave her office with confidence that my health is in good hands. She is a God-send and sincerely helps people.

I’ve seen many psychologists and doctors in the area and this is by for the worst one. Dr. Heron doesn’t care about the well being of her patients and is just another money hungry doctor. Don’t waste your time or money seeing her, there are better doctors in Erie.

I must be seeing a different psychiatrist because Dr. Heron is by far one of the most comforting, passionate, and in her field.I guess some people dont understand that a psychiatrist is there to yo diagnose, treat, or prevent mental/emotional/behavioral irregularaties.If you go in there just asking for drugs or expecting a miracle then try something else. If youre looking for a way to change your life - then (again) seeing Dr. Heron is one of the best decisions you can make.

Dr. Heron is by far the best psychiatrist I have ever met. She genuinely listens to all of your concerns and is devoted to the improved mental health of her patients.

Horrible experience. Been seeing her for 5 months. She was nice and then changed. She makes you pay your deductible up front even when you dont have to pay it and doesnt give money back when shown proof from insurance you only have a copayment!! Her new secretary is rude and swears a lot. Dr Heron acts like she dont care about you and makes you feel like you are a burden to her.

I should have read other reviews. She called in my sons script for wrong med! Called office so many times and she never fixed it! Came in with son and she said “I never called in wrong script” when I showed her the antipsychotic med she prescribed when it was suppose to be an antidepressant, she basically called me a liar! She became rude and disrespectful towards me in front of my son and said to find another place to get medications. Been trying for 2 months to get his records sent to new psychiatrist and she won’t send them or return my calls or the new doctors calls!!! Ridiculous and never would recommend her!

Doctor Heron and Dylan are truly amazing very helpful and informative, normally I hate doctors visits but this office is the more peaceful serene atmosphere Ive ever been too

Receptionist does not know what insurances are accepted. waste of time. When I arrived for my appointment dr Heron acted as if I should know her insurance policy changes and sent me on my way with no suggestion of how to proceed.

Dr. HERON WILL NOT BILL YOUR SECONDARY INSURANCE AND WILL TRY TO GET YOU TO PAY UR COPAY, INSTEAD OF BILLING CORRECTLY. SHE IS ONLY IN IT FOR THE MONEY AND COMMITTING FRAUD. NEVER GOING TO RETURN.FYI. I was a client and this is NOT a fake review. I havent been back to see you since because of your billing practices and your receptionist that argued with me over it.

Professional looking office desperately needs an office manager. Receptionist unprofessional when talking in-person. Joking, swearing, loud, laughing, comments on crazy people needing to be here and comments on other patients when out of sight. So/So experience when actually getting to see Dr. Heron. Dr. Heron routinely shows late for morning appointments, confirmed by receptionist. Over 1 hour late for 3rd appointment. Canceled 4th appointment 15 minutes before I was scheduled to show. 5th appointment, 30 minutes behind.

Dr. heron was rude never made eye contact which is very important in her profession wasted my time as well as my money. Such a shame expected more but got way less.

Semi ok services. Stopped taking state insurance, refused to receive out of pocket payment, so just left me to figure something out. Stay away, only in it for the insurance $$$
