Dr. Levey is awesome, he actually takes the time and explain stuff to you and listens to any questions and concerns you have. The receptionists are very helpful and polite. I would recommend this office to anyone who has digestive problems.

Not impressed with the front office staff. Seems like hard. Feels like not friendly!Met Michelle Barto- she is very good in listening patient problems and friendly.

Ive been a patient there for years and finally have had enough. They NEVER return phone calls. Thats especially frustrating when youre calling with a problem. If you are able to speak with someone they dont pass the correct info on to the Dr. I was told over the phone that they had found a issue during my EGD and I was to have another EGD in 6 months for biopsies. Five min later I had a message in MyUPMC from a different staff member that everything was fine and only follow up if I had an issue. I think the doctors are run ragged and let the support staff handle everything else, which is done very poorly. Will be going to a different practice from now on.

I had an 8:30 video apt with a doctor to renew my prescription. They call me at 7:30 to tell me my doctor isnt coming in today, and reschedule me for 2:20 the same day. I sat on the video line for an hour and a nurse finally popped in to apologize and tell me the doctor will be on to see me in 10 minutes. I waited another 90 minutes and no one showed up. Then I called to see what is going on and no one answered the phone. 2.5 hours I sat there waiting for a promised appointment and all of this was just to renew a prescription and I still have to now make another appointment and waste more of my time during my work day just to get my medicine. Wish I could give negative stars. This is how youre treated after being a patient for over 10 years.

OMG !!! Wow what an incompetent group of office staff!!! Unfortunately I can’t comment on the doctors but the office staff are not professional AT ALL!!! Really kind of frightened to go through with the procedure!!!!

The front office staff is extremely rude. There is a young blonde at the front desk with an extremely bad, condescending attitude. First time i came there, i cried on the way home and swore i would never come back.It is such a shame because the doctors are really nice.

Very poorly managed. They give you an arrival time and then you spend 2 hours and 15 minutes in an uncomfortabe waiting room with the televisions blasting. The check in personnel is abrupt and unpleasant. You have no privacy in pre-op and have to walk to the operatory with an open gown and an inadequate blanket that leaves you exposed. Most employees were nice but not very personable or caring. They are performing a job rather than enjoying a career where they could be making a difference in the patients experience. The anesthesia personnel were wonderful.

I been have nausea and I can’t eat or drink I call them they won’t return nobody phone call I told them I been having nausea and eat and drink that I’m afraid that I’m going to puking and I been having pain I my stomach they haven’t call me back with the test results

So far so good. They helped diagnose my celiac, provided good resources and are always welcoming.

They diagnosed me with a rare disease, of which I had NONE of the symptoms of, based off of an inaccurate test with the most inaccurate time frame there is. I seriously suggest going somewhere else.

Front desk staff extremely unfriendly and appeared uninterested in the questions from my mother. Very disrespectful.

All of the doctors at Digestive Diseases of Erie,PA have many years of experience and always keep the best interest of the patients first and foremost on their agendas. I had a colonoscopy in the past with them and am returning to them for an upcoming colonoscopy. Im not specifying a single doctor because all of the doctors from the Bayfront Digestive Disease office are excellent. How do I know? I directly worked for seven and a half years with all of the doctors from their office via Hamot Surgery Center which is now named UPMC Hamot Surgery Center.

Very crappy place..would not recommend this place to any one..absolutely ridiculous. I was forced to do hundred thousand dollars worth of tests just to get denied the medication. I felt like they had a scam going it was crazy!! I will never go back there.

Good luck if you ever need anything filled out or questions answered over the phone. Extremely rude staff. The office never returns phone calls. Prescriptions take at least a week if not more to be sent in. Dr’s/PA’s super nice but again, if you ever need anything filled out don’t expect it to be done in a timely manner.
