You know, if you have ever been through this, when you find that person who has the compassion, kindness, patience that you entrust FULLY with your parents it is a true blessing. I am so grateful that with the help of Home Instead I was able to keep my mom in my home until the last 10 days. Mom had alzheimer’s and when I felt things were getting too much for me, I contacted Home Instead. After my initial interview with them, I knew they were a professional firm and I would look no further. During the three years I was with them, mom’s condition gradually changed. Home Instead was good at matching the right caretakers to meet my mom’s changing needs. The schedulers worked hard for me and the caretakers were loving and kind to mom and to me, also. I spoke to many staff members (including Diane Cunningham) on the phone and all of them were courteous, caring, and helpful. Thank you for making my job as a caretaker a much easier one. I highly recommend Home Instead in Erie, PA to anyone who needs in-home care for a loved one. They are, in my opinion, most professional and caring in their field.

My moms personal care attendant is a perfect match to my mom. They do things around the house together and enjoy each others company. She keeps track of all her appointments. She also keeps track of where mom puts things. She helps her check her email to see pictures of the family. She helps keep track of the mail. I dont know where Id be without her. My mom says the exact same thing! We love her!

Dont use this place! My mother recently passed away and was using Home Instead to help her after her stroke a few years ago. She couldnt drive, read or write etc. Her caregiver from Home Instead started paying her rent (by check) and the rest of her bills were automatically debited. Soon she began using my moms MAC card for ATM withdrawals of large amount of cash $300 or $400 at a time. The withdrawals totaled $10,000 in less than 2 years. We discovered this after her death. We brought all this to the owner of Home Instead Dianne, and she promised to investigate and fully cooperate with us. She lied. She gave us zero information, the aide was not fired, and she stopped corresponding with us completely! Do NOT use this agency! Be careful who you trust with your loved ones!

All the office staff are very friendly, caring, professional employees. They are there to help anyway possible. Their care givers are very well trained. I would highly recommend this company to all seniors.

I spent 6 months being cared for by the professional staff of Home Instead, Erie. If it wasn’t for Home Instead and their outstanding support, I would have been in a nursing home. Home Instead Services are by far the best in Erie PA. Every office employee is always 💯 about match making and putting employee needs and clients needs above all to ensure quality of care and success!

This is Home Insteads favorite employee hard at work. After we asked to remove her from the job because she was not doing what we asked, which was to take the two elderly women to the bathroom a couple of times a night. She only came to sleep, and told me Home Instead allows her to sleep, because they knew she had a full time day job. She lied to me and told me that she was paid a lower hourly wage because of their allowing her to sleep! 3 days after we reported that we wanted a different caregiver, we were told that Home Instead would no longer be servicing us in 30 days. We were not even allowed the courtesy of a discussion nor given a chance to prove to them that their caregiver was the liar, not us!

Please watch out for the caregiver Cheryl. She steals money from her clients. The owner was told and nothing was done about it. It’s a shame when caregivers take advantage of the elderly and get away with it.
