Probably the worst pharmacy Ive ever been to.. Including ones from developing counties. This place was bad before covid and its only gotten worse. But This is mostly a review about how theyre severely understaffed which is is not the associates fault. Pharmacy staff have been rude and unhelpful. Everytime you ask a question they act like youre just an inconvenience. Again, theyre understaffed and all exhausted so its understandable. They also take forever to fill scripts often taking several days to fill, including life saving medications. Were switching to giant now. And too be honest, cvs is the most expensive pharmacy. If you go on good Rx, theyre almost double the price of other pharmacies. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I have absolutely no idea how this pharmacy has not been shut down yet. I honestly cannot even believe how terrible it is literally have never had one good experience here. Absolute trash. Doctors offices even warn you not to come here! Do yourself a favor and listen to them!

Considering the short staff situation and the demand for shots and testing and perscriptions. They are always polite. Give them the benefit of actually working and trying to assist you in getting the medications you need. Thank you guys for all you do.

Today 9/4 at approximately 4:30 pm my elderly mother walked in for second dose of covid-19 vaccine and was turned away. She was told again she had to make appointment online. My mother has disabilities and is unable to do so without assistance or accommodations. Pharmacy was informed of this numerous times. They couldnt even accommodate any assistance to schedule an appointment for her. I went in to complain to pharmacist and again no accommodations they suggested a number rambled off, I had to ask for it in writing. When she attempted this number of 1800SHOP.... they wanted to ask questions non pertaining to scheduling an appointment for vaccine, this number was completely useless. You should train employees especially head pharmacist to help elderly with disabilities. You have emotionless employees, I hope your proud.

I literally couldn’t find a worse pharmacy if I spent hours searching. My daughter was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Trying to get her prescriptions here has been a nightmare. Given different information depending on who answers the phone. We are almost out of syringes but they don’t seem to care. Told me “it’s the weekend???” when I asked how can I give her insulin if they don’t fill her syringes. What a joke. I can’t transfer out of here fast enough

The pharmacy staff isnt great. I got a prescription sent in, went to get it a few days later and they said they never filled it and it would be 30mins. I go back the next day and they still didnt do it. If theyre so busy they need more staff or train their employees to be more competent. Very disappointed

Pharmacy is poorly run. They send constant texts and calls about medication ready for pickup despite the fact that last time I was in there, I told them explicitly that I did not need any more refills. When you call them to cancel it, you just sit on hold until you’re smart enough to hang up.

The CVS Ephrata, PA location is the worst managed CVS in our 35 years with the pharmacy at different locations. We are given a prescription delivery time, go to pick it up over an hour later and still not ready. This has occur numerous times dealing with this location the last 5 years. They need to get better or our business will go elsewhere.

I have had problems with this CVS for years, but have to use it for insurance. My long term meds are put on auto refill when my profile states no auto refill. I have received the wrong medication with my name on the label, and today my insulin was warm, indicating it was not in the cooler, it had been setting out, DAMAGED was in red on the prescription sheet then it was crossed out. When I went to the counter to ask for new insulin I was told that it had been sitting out for less than the allowed time, it was out from 8am to 1pm. Everyone of my Drs. offices has told me that they have had problems with CVS! Trying to figure where to go for a pharmacy that is nation wide that I can use when traveling.

Sent my sister for my script, she came back with 2. I have no idea what this second drug is and why they gave it to her. Theyre refusing to give me my money back for it. Plus this script was 2 weeks old. Why was it not put back? Calling doesnt work so looks like Ill be heading in.

We recieved a call telling us the prescription was READY FOR PICKUP. We went in TWO days later, and was told that it wasnt ready, but that they could expedite it, and itd be a half hour additional wait. Why tell us its ready when its not. While i was waiting, another customer came in, understandably irate...that he had been on hold on phone for over 15 minutes. CVS lost our business. Wish i could give zero stars

Seriously dislike this location. I have issues with get any prescriptions filled for my toddler. Every time they say “oh we don’t have correct insurance information. We can’t fill it until we do.” Her insurance information hasn’t changed in her 4 years of life.I’ve had them give me incorrect dosing directions for medication that I take as well or they completely misplace prescription orders from my doctor. Transferring our stuff ASAP.

If I could give negative ten stars for this CVS, I would. The customer service is awful and getting prescription from the pharmacy is painful. The staff is rude and unhelpful, when you actually get a chance to even talk to them because calling them is basically useless. Not sure how this place even still has business with the way they run things. Id rather go to Walmart and thats saying something.

Worst Pharmacy experience. The drive through is always a half hour or more wait and if you call in youee put on hold for 30 minutes to an hour! And to make matters worse the people that answer the phone are rude. Due to them not checking their voicemails for doctor calling in a prescription I had to wait 2 hours between the drive through, call in, and waiting in the parking lot. Absolutely awful let alone when youre incredibly sick. I used to go to the CVS on the outskirts of Lancaster on Oregon pike and thats where Im going back to which sucks because its completely out of the way. 🤦‍♀️

Terrible service. They continue to fill old dosages of prescriptions that have been increased. My old pharmacy was Royers (they unfortunately closed) and they used to fill new dosages as soon as they got the new prescription in regardless if they still had refills on the old script. CVS also made an important prescription inactive some how after just a month. I was still taking the medicine and it was within the same month that I still had medication left! When I called in the next month to find out where my med was they told me that it was inactive and then I had to call my doctors office and have them call in a new script. They didnt want to right away because I was supposed to still have medication at the pharmacy. I went a total of 5 days without a very important medication that is life sustaining because this pharmacy turned an active prescription inactive for no reason.

Pharmacy is horrible. Called in refill yesterday. Said it be ready by 11a today. Husband at cvs now waited over an hour for the prescription. It was cream for heaven sakes! Its in a box just put the sticker on there you go!?!?! Not the first time I have had problems with the pharmacy. Many times says refills are ready and they are not. Time to switch pharmacies.

First time using this CVS location and hopefully the last. This pharmacy is way too busy and they clearly cant keep up! I was on hold for almost 35 minutes just to find out they didnt have either of my medications so they had to order them and they didnt know when they would come in. When the order arrived, 2 days later, I was told they needed a few hours to process & fill them. I had to keep calling back because they couldnt give a time of when it would be ready and I was on hold for a ridiculous amount of time everytime I called. Finally I was told one hour but when I got there, it wasnt ready, and I had to wait another 20 minutes!!While waiting in the store (because the drive thru line was literally wrapped around the building) I was chatting with other unhappy customers and was told its always like this, doesnt matter day or time...The cashiers were just ok....youd think with the inconvenience wait times (on the phone, in the store & at the drive thru) theyd atleast offer an apology but they didnt seemed phased by this one bit. This store definitely needs more staffing and/or better management.

Out of stock on my prescription so could only get half of my prescription, Couldn’t get the one that was out of stock in until 5 days later. Waited 3 hours to go to pick up, and when I got there they wanted me to wait another 20 minutes. Waited FOREVER in the drive thru. Horrible customer service!!! Very unorganized!!! Needless to say I have changed pharmacists! Do not recommend!

I came in 10 minutes before close on 2/12 to fill 2 prescriptions. Staff was very accommodating and courteous. One med was not covered by insurance and without asking, they applied a discount. Thought the service was outstanding especially for coming in last minute.

I have used this pharmacy for years, strictly due to convenience. Otherwise, I think its a terrible place to rely on for your prescriptions. I have had several issues over the years, but the worse yet occurred yesterday (1-21-2020). I went through the drive through to get my scripts. I sat there for about 20 minutes. Only one car was a head of me. Ok. Fine. I get my scripts finally and go home. As I am sorting through them, I realize that one of the scripts was not my own. It was a medication I take, but the dosage was wrong and it belonged to an entirely different patient. So very many violations here. Patient privacy for one. I now know what medication this patient takes and his home address. I went back to the pharmacy to inform them of their mistake. The technician that I talked to seemed less than concerned. He said he would write up a report, but I have my doubts that he planned to follow through with that. Horrible. Just horrible. Someone could have died, with that mistake, and they could have cared less.

If I could give a negative number I would. Their pricing has gotten out of control. I needed a script my insurance would not cover but I needed it until we could work another one out with insurance. Their price was triple what other pharmacies were for the same script. The person behind the counter ever whispered, if you have to pay cash, do not get it here. They have made me call to fill a script. Said I had to let them know I wanted it filled. Why else would my doctor write the script? I asked if I had to do this every month. They said no. That was four months ago. And every month I have had to call. Twice they have been out of a medicine I need. Was told it would take a week. If I run out it could kill me. They did nothing to help me get this medication. The first time this happened, the next day, even though they did not have a delivery, it magically appeared. Again this happened and again no help getting it filled. I am done with them and there money grabbing tactics. All they want is your money. I will not go there again.

I worked for CVS for 2 days and already knew it was going to be a bad place to work. Its been almost 3 months and ive still havent received my pay. When i contacted the manager he said he would take care of it and when that didnt work i contacted him again. He said i owe him an explanation. I dont owe him anything. He is withholding my paycheck and thats not right.

The pharmacy experience is dreadful. The doctor placed a prescription at 9am. Six hours later I call to see if ready and they tell me they dont have the prescription in stock and have the doctor pick another CVS and they might have it. Terrible customer experience.

My family and I have tried to have patience with this Pharmacy for over 2 years now but after constant issues and problems Ive given up. Customer service with the exception of 2 or 3 employees over the years has always been very poor. I considered going into a long rant detailing the multiple issues that Ive run into but I wont waste your time. I recognize that no matter how bad the reviews are this place will still be getting business. Suffice it to say, if youre reading this I would highly recommend doing yourself a big favor and finding a different Pharmacy. Dont waste your time with the Ephrata CVS!

Wish i Could give ZERO stars, this pharmacy is a joke at best, waited in drive thru for 25 minutes, get to window, they say 2 prescriptions are ready, she goes to look for them, 15 minutes later she says i have to come inside because she has to re do them, what is the point of the drive thru, i signed up for delivery yet all scripts say pick up, the text message doesnt give an option for pickup neither does the app or website as the recorded message says on the phone, sitting on hold for 30 minutes now to talk to someone. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY.

They shouldnt even have one star. Recently had an Rx called in here. Our insurance says we are supposed to get the best price through CVS. My husband picked it up, $88.00, for the generic. I thought it seemed expensive because I had done a quick price check online to see what we were getting into. Called Costco, asked for price without insurance, $36.00 !!! As in $52 less not using CVS and not using insurance.

Great place to waste 60-90min of your life waiting for a prescription to be filled. Always has 4-5 employees behind the counter, but no one is servicing customers. Check out process is painfully long as well as their system asks for multiple signatures and prompts stretching the line deep into their store. Avoid this place and go to the locally run pharmacies. You will have much better service.

I feel bad that I am only giving my local CVS 4 stars, because I do love this store and usually do have a good shopping experience.... However, the pharmacy itself has been the cause of the lost star in this case due to careless mistakes(that could have been avoided)and the fact that the pharmacy is almost always understaffed and a large percentage of the workers back there then end up having a bad attitude because they are stressed, super busy, and simply overwhelmed. Hopefully they are able remedy this problem sometime soon by maybe either hiring more employees to work back there or maybe hiring employees that function better under the demands of a sometimes stressful, busy, and demading work environment and can perform tasks and duties required by the job properly and efficiently under pressure....

Was on hold for 15 mins. Pharmacist that answered was short with me and a bit rude. Service here is horrible. Pretty much all of the staff are rude. They make you feel like your bothering them. I get calls from her about 3 times a day regarding a prescription ready for pick up, I call to confirm then when I come in it isn’t ready. I never have this issue with any other CVS. It’s very frustrating. When you go in there are some nice employees but you can hear them complaining about customers which isn’t very professional.

This place is horrible...I have not been there once where they showed me an acceptable level of competence. Theyre chaotic and unorganized. Their automated refill system is not in step with the store or the insurance company and the staff offers no remedy. Absolutely terrible! First, you get 3+ calls per day about perscriptions ready that were auto refilled-which you didnt ask for! Second, when you call them, they keep you on hold for over 10+ minutes or hang up on you! Most of the time mess up the billing with insurance and double bill!

Just adding this to my prior review. I will just say ,that everytime i forget about the horrible service here and decide to give it another chance because ,it should be better by now. I am always reminded within a few minutes. They are slow , rude, and this instance liars. So sick of this pharmacy, how hard is it to fill a script i have been filling with them for 6 years? Every month at this time is stressful. Because even though it should be an easy thing...IT NEVER IS!Im in at 1030 this morning, without saying anything, i am told my script will be ready in an hour. I tell them Ill be back in a few, after work. Here it is 430,been here since 410, and Im still waiting on a script that was supposed to be ready at 1130. Hmmm.....perhaps in the idiot for continuing to give them my business? Or maybe they ate for constantly having negative reviews and apparently doing nothing about it?

I get half my scripts at Weis and a few at CVS. Unbelievable the difference in customer service. Dont even try calling Ephrata CVS, because you will be on hold for hrs. And half the time they dont ever pick up. And i have never had Weis tell me we are currently out of this or that. Came back to edit review. If i could give cvs zero stars i would. Today i have been calling all day and they dont even answer. The prescription i need has been in progress since yesterday. And its now 830 friday. How dose this place stay in business? Back again to add to post. Spent 3 days trying to get through to talk to someone.this store dont even deserve 1 star. Zero stars.

Weve had poor experiences with the pharmacy enough times that weve moved on to a smaller, local business. The staff has always been friendly and I know theyre trying (pharmacy, yes - front of store, not so sure) but theyre simply too inundated to keep a majority of people happy.

Pharmacist was rude, didnt answer my questions about my medication and really didnt seem to care about anything to do with her job. I also witnessed some of them gossiping about certain people who fill their medication there, which I am pretty sure violates the law. Worse CVS I have ever been to. Do not plan on going back to fill my prescriptions.

The only reason I use CVS is because of the convenience of the drive thru. With a three year old and newborn twins it is a pain to get them all in and out of the car. However, I will no longer be using CVS in Ephrata. I had tried to pick it up twice and was told that they did not have it. My doctor’s office then called them and CVS called to say they had it ready. I went a third time and was told that it was not ready and that she doesn’t know who told me that it was. This person was extremely rude. I called the Weis Pharmacy and they were so great on the phone and took care of EVERYTHING. After they also waited on hold with CVS for 20 minutes, they had my daughter’s persciription finished within 5 minutes. The quality of service between CVS and the Weis Pharmacy is night and day.

Horrible customer service. On any given day you can go to the pharmacy and wait 15 -30 mins to pick up a prescription that is ready. The staff stands around and talks when there is a line waiting. There is no cross training only one or two cashiers in the pharmacy and there can be a line and no one will help because it is not there area. I waited 10 mins in the consultation window and there were 3 employees standing there talking and no one help us. So we left and went to Royers were they have customer service.
